Chapter 967: Covetous Eyes

Anyway, whatever research Krovitz is working on now, it all ends up being mine in the end. Ultimately, it just boosts the strength of the Alchemical Golem Army—leaving it to Krovitz is the least hassle.

After cleaning up the battlefield, the haul was substantial. Just two Sky Rank Alchemical Golems were enough to make up for the loss of seven or eight hundred ordinary ones in the army...

Standing atop the mountain, Leon gazed toward the location of the Plane Path, his brows knitting together slightly.

With the Plane Path sealed, there was nothing visibly unusual about it. Only by standing right in front of it could one faintly sense the unique fluctuations of the Plane Path.

The Plane Path had already been opened, and its rift had grown larger. This was inevitable—the alchemical golems from the Plane of Golems had noticed this path. It wouldn't be impossible for them to find another chance to open it again.

They couldn't possibly stand guard here all the time, could they?

"Archmage Leon, I just remembered—my ancestors left behind an alchemical array. I used to think it was meant for stabilizing the Plane Path, but something felt off. The array didn't seem right. Now, I think this alchemical array was designed for situations like this—to seal the Plane Path..."

Leon’s expression shifted, as if something had just occurred to him.

Krovitz produced an ancient, battered crystal slab. Countless runes and patterns drifted within it, the alchemical array’s configuration constantly shifting—every detail of its transformation and layout was inscribed upon its surface.
