Lord Shen shouted, "Not your match? You're too confident." Then, after exchanging glances with the other two, all three took out a mirror.
"Damn, how are there more?" Evan Yang was shocked, recalling the hidden Queen Arachne who rescued Lord Shen at the last moment.
Along the way, Evan Yang had encountered more powerful foes here than anywhere else. He had no idea if even stronger ones might appear next, but he knew he had to stay cautious and rely on his lightning attribute to restrain these creatures.
Lord Shen attacked Yang Han's true body. Yang Han countered with lightning strikes, but Lord Shen blocked them with his mirror. The mirror seemed to have lightning resistance—every bolt vanished as soon as it hit.
Inside the spatial crack, Queen Arachne and Lord Shen worked together to shatter the Polar Sacred Flame ice block, revealing the gravely injured Lord Shen.
"We're afraid of human lightning, but we have ways to protect ourselves. Let's see how you escape our grasp today," Lord Shen said angrily, blaming himself for not preparing earlier and losing six generals.
"We're out of options. If the humans launch a major offensive now, we're finished," Lord Shen sighed.
Ice Saint's dual water-fire realm instantly sealed the weakened Lord Shen. He never expected Yang Han to have such power to trap him.
"Damn it!" Lord Shen roared in fury.
With one sealed, Yang Han noticed his two clones were losing to the other two creatures. He flashed over and ambushed them, instantly destroying their bodies and capturing their souls.
Just as Evan Yang turned to deal with Lord Shen, he saw Lord Shen vanish into a spatial crack.
Queen Arachne was shocked by this answer. After resting for a while, Lord Shen left, instructing Queen Arachne to keep tracking Evan Yang. Hidden in the spatial crack, Queen Arachne could always move faster than Evan Yang and use special methods to follow him.
Along the way, this was the place where Evan Yang had encountered the most powerful foes. He didn't know if even stronger ones would appear next, but he knew he had to be careful and rely on his lightning attribute to restrain these creatures.
Evan Yang quickly composed himself and headed east.
In the Demon-Beast Realm, Greenguard was preparing his final strike. If successful, he would break the formation of the Demon-Beast Sovereigns. The sovereigns all frowned, knowing that once Greenguard broke free, no one in the Demon-Beast Realm could stop him.
Queen Arachne trembled, "Lord Shen, what do we do? No one can match him now."
"We're out of options. If the humans launch a major offensive now, we're finished," Lord Shen sighed.
"Are we really going to be brought down by a single human?" Queen Arachne said in disbelief.
"Not necessarily. I still remember a force that will stop Evan Yang," Lord Shen said, raising his eyebrows.
"Who?" Queen Arachne asked curiously.
"The mysterious army guarding the Plane Lord," Lord Shen replied.
Queen Arachne was shocked by this answer. After resting for a while, Lord Shen left, instructing Queen Arachne to keep tracking Yang Han. Hidden in the spatial crack, Queen Arachne could always move faster than Yang Han and use special methods to follow him.
Lord Shen returned to the mountain, placed his hand on a stone stele inside, and said, "My lord, a human has killed nine of us. Even I'm badly injured. He's heading toward the Ling Void Expanse—send reinforcements at once."
His message traveled through the stele to a creature, who, upon receiving it, instantly vanished into the void.
In the Demon-Beast Realm, Greenguard was preparing his final strike. If successful, he would break the formation of the Demon-Beast Sovereigns. The sovereigns all frowned, knowing that once Greenguard broke free, no one in the Demon-Beast Realm could stop him.
As Greenguard readied his attack, a creature from his own world arrived through a spatial crack. Hearing the report, Greenguard's expression turned furious, "Trash, a bunch of trash! Damn it, I'm going back."
Greenguard then vanished in a flash. He had only one goal: to guard the Ling Void Expanse and wait for Evan Yang's arrival.
Unaware of Greenguard ahead, Evan Yang continued on his way.
For Greenguard, who already had one foot in the God realm, Evan Yang was no match at his current strength. Oblivious, Evan Yang kept walking down the road of death.
Demon Nine watched Greenguard and his forces leave, puzzled, "What just happened?"
Even Greenguard, a top general under the Plane Lord, dared not enter the Ling Void Expanse—he could only wait outside for Evan Yang.
"No idea, but whatever it is, we must stay vigilant and prevent his return," Demon Nine said, clearly afraid of Greenguard. If they came back, he had no idea how to stop them.
Evan Yang was getting closer to the Ling Void Expanse, but stopped at a spot before arriving. He wanted to make sure he had enough strength, so he paused to recover all the energy he'd spent in battles over the years.
"Whew, after wiping out so many powerful creatures, I wonder what's happening at the Ling Void Expanse now." Evan Yang knew he'd definitely alarmed the local experts. Before arriving, he needed to understand the situation around the Ling Void Expanse.
Evan Yang brought out the nine souls. They all looked at him in terror, never expecting him to be so terrifying—able to wipe out all nine of them. The escaped Lord Shen probably wasn't doing much better.
Lord Shen hurriedly explained everything. After listening, Greenguard, enraged, slapped Lord Shen on the forehead. Lord Shen withered and died instantly, as Greenguard cursed, "Damn human, I'll make you wish you were dead!"
"I always keep my word. But before I release you, I want to ask a few questions. If you answer, I'll preserve your souls and let you go," Evan Yang said.
The nine souls were overjoyed to hear Evan Yang would let them go. As long as their souls survived, they had a chance at rebirth.
Seeing their hopeful expressions, Evan Yang smiled, "What exactly is the Ling Void Expanse?"
The Ling Void Expanse was a quiet and seemingly harmonious place, but inside it was filled with all sorts of attribute powers. Step in carelessly, and foreign attributes would invade your body, clashing with your own until you died.
"You can each tell me what you know. If you don't, you'll bear the consequences," Evan Yang said with a smile.
The nine creatures discussed among themselves, then decided to tell Evan Yang. Even if he went in, he'd surely die—after all, it was a forbidden zone, a terrifying place.
Yang Han was getting closer to the Ling Void Expanse, but stopped at a spot before arriving. He wanted to make sure he had enough strength, so he paused to recover all the energy he'd spent in battles over the years.
"Go ahead. The more details the better," Evan Yang said. The Double-Faced Soul replied, "The Ling Void Expanse is said to be where the great Plane Lord lies, incredibly powerful, but sealed by human Gods. Yet even so, the Plane Lord's aura can't be hidden. Inside, humans can't stay longer than an hour; after that, they're assimilated—meaning they'll turn into creatures like us."
Evan Yang was shocked—he hadn't expected such secrets. He pressed, "What else?"
"Didn't you say you'd let me go?" asked the Double-Faced Soul.
Evan Yang understood this logic. But since his body could fuse so many attributes, he wasn't worried. He asked again, "Anything else?"
The nine souls were overjoyed to hear Yang Han would let them go. As long as their souls survived, they had a chance at rebirth.
Evan Yang figured these were people like Firebane and others—probably more creatures waiting there.
"What's the strongest level there?" Evan Yang asked.
"You can each tell me what you know. If you don't, you'll bear the consequences," Yang Han said with a smile.
Evan Yang was shocked—he hadn't expected such a terrifying figure. It was beyond his imagination.
"Besides Greenguard, who else?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"Go ahead. The more details the better," Yang Han said.
Hearing this, Evan Yang was unsettled. Never mind finding the Plane Lord—even the creatures outside were terrifying.
"I advise you not to go. Let us go, and we won't tell anyone," said the Double-Faced Soul, seeing Evan Yang deep in thought.
Evan Yang snapped back and smiled, "Not going is impossible. Don't worry, as long as I make it out, I'll release you."
"There's also the mysterious army guarding the Plane Lord. They fight across world-realms and protect the Plane Lord," the Double-Faced Soul said.
Yang Han figured these were people like Firebane and others—probably more creatures waiting there.
"What's the strongest level there?" Yang Han asked.
"The strongest is the commander of the mysterious army, Lord Greenguard. We all obey him because he's a top general under the Plane Lord, and he already has one foot in what you humans call the God realm," said the Double-Faced Soul.
Yang Han was shocked—he hadn't expected such a terrifying figure. It was beyond his imagination.
"Besides Greenguard, who else?" Yang Han asked curiously.
"Apart from Greenguard, there are the Four Ancient Fiends. They're imprisoned around the Ling Void Expanse and obey no one, but whenever a human approaches, they appear. Several powerful humans have tried before, but were torn apart," the Double-Faced Soul replied.
Hearing this, Yang Han was unsettled. Never mind finding the Plane Lord—even the creatures outside were terrifying.
"I advise you not to go. Let us go, and we won't tell anyone," said the Double-Faced Soul, seeing Yang Han deep in thought.
Yang Han snapped back and smiled, "Not going is impossible. Don't worry, as long as I make it out, I'll release you."
