Sweeping Across the Sirius Grasslands

1/18/2026

Faced with Lily White's outburst, the crowd immediately fell silent.

But Lily White still felt stifled, so she fixed her gaze on Ian Song and shouted, "Hey pretty boy, do you dare to fight me for three hundred rounds?"

"Why wouldn't I?"

Ian Song spurred his horse forward, leaving the main camp behind, but Derek Hill and the others showed no sign of worry.

"Good—didn't expect you to have some guts!"

Seeing Ian Song agree so readily, Lily White was a bit surprised.

Ian Song smiled. "Go ahead!"

"Hmph, you aren't even qualified for me to make the first move. If anyone's attacking first, it's you!" Lily White looked Ian Song up and down with disdain.

"You sure you won't regret it?"

"Enough talk—just do it!"

Lily White urged impatiently.

"Then come over here!"

As he spoke, Ian Song suddenly made his move. He reached out and grabbed at the air, instantly conjuring an invisible net that enveloped Lily White completely. She was pulled off her horse and landed face-to-face on Ian Song's mount, unable to resist.

Ian Song's palm pressed lightly against Lily White's pale neck as he chuckled, "You've lost!"

Lily White blinked, still processing what had happened. Unconvinced, she protested, "You cheated—that was a sneak attack!"

"Heh."

Ian Song shrugged. "On the battlefield, there's only enemies and allies. No matter what tricks you use, a win is a win and a loss is a loss. Don't you agree?"

"I'm not convinced—unless we fight again!"

Lily White argued, but a sly glint flashed in her eyes.

"Why should I agree to that?" Ian Song said, half-smiling.

"If you beat me again, I'll lead all my troops to surrender!" Lily White gritted her teeth, as if making a tough decision.

"You mean it?"

Ian Song seemed moved by the offer.

"We children of the Red Wolf Tribe never lie!" Lily White declared firmly.

"Fine, I'll trust you this once!"

Ian Song gave her a gentle push, sending Lily White back onto her horse.

But as soon as she got back on her horse, Lily White turned and bolted, quickly rejoining her army.

Then she laughed at Ian Song, "Ha! I was lying, pretty boy—how could you be so gullible?"

Ian Song didn't get angry. Instead, he replied calmly, "If I could capture you once, I can do it again."

"How shameless!" Lily White's expression turned cold. "Red Wolf Tribe warriors, listen up—attack!"

Immediately, nearly twenty thousand Red Wolf cavalry surged forward like a tide, swarming toward Ian Song.

"This is bad—we need to get the Commissioner!"

Seeing this, Derek Hill's face changed drastically. He immediately ordered the main army to move out, but Ian Song spoke up: "Hold your positions—everyone stay in camp!"

As he spoke, a stack of pale yellow talisman papers appeared in Ian Song's hand. He recited an incantation and threw them out.

Hundreds of talismans shot through the air, landing on the ground ahead.

Right as the Red Wolf army reached that spot.

A series of splashing sounds rang out—the ground instantly turned to marsh, swallowing hundreds of cavalry in one go.

Lily White and the other experts, though, leaped skyward the moment their horses sank, narrowly avoiding the swamp.

With the cavalry charging at full speed, the riders behind couldn't stop in time even after seeing the danger.

So another wave of splashes echoed out—in just a few breaths, over a thousand more cavalry were swallowed by the marsh.

After harsh shouts from Lily White and the other commanders, the remaining cavalry were finally stopped, though some still crashed into the marsh.

So the two sides hadn't even fully clashed yet.

The Red Wolf Tribe had already lost over two thousand men.

"You're despicable!"

Lily White glared angrily at Ian Song.

"It's your fault—they died because you broke your word. If you'd kept your promise, none of this would have happened!" Ian Song replied coolly.

"You bastard!"

Enraged, Lily White shoved a soldier off his horse and led her cavalry around the marsh, charging toward Ian Song.

But just then, Ian Song pulled out several hundred more talisman papers.

Seeing this, Lily White's face changed and she shouted, "Stop, everyone stop!"

At that moment, Ian Song chanted another incantation and threw out the talismans.

Hundreds of talismans turned into streaks of fire, exploding among the Red Wolf army. Amid the blasts and screams, at least a thousand Red Wolf soldiers were killed.

Earlier, Ian Song had used Earth-Pit Talismans; this time, he was using Explosive Talismans.

"Still not surrendering? If you don't, everyone left will die here!"

Ian Song stared at Lily White, enunciating each word.

"Never!"

Lily White replied defiantly.

Ian Song shook his head and sighed, "Well, in that case, I'll just have to send you all to meet the Wolf God!"

As he spoke, Ian Song produced a whole bundle of talisman papers—at least several thousand.

Seeing all those talismans, not just the ordinary Red Wolf cavalry, but even Lily White felt a chill run down her spine.

"Run for your lives!"

Someone shouted, and the Red Wolf cavalry began to flee. But packed so tightly and with so many people, turning around was nearly impossible.

"Go!"

Ian Song flicked his wrist, sending the entire bundle of talismans flying out as streaks of red light.

Lily White shot into the air, swinging her longsword to intercept the red lights. With her master-level skills, she blocked quite a few, but there were simply too many, and over eighty percent of the talismans exploded among the Red Wolf cavalry.

"Boom! Boom!"

A continuous barrage of explosions tore through the ranks.

Screams rang out as the smoke cleared—at least seven or eight thousand Red Wolf cavalry had been killed.

At that moment, Ian Song shot into the sky, hovering overhead with another bundle of talisman papers in hand. He looked down at Lily White: "I'll ask you one last time—will you surrender? If not, every last Red Wolf cavalryman will die!"

Hearing Ian Song's words, Lily White felt a wave of despair. The man before her wasn't human at all, but a devil—an overwhelmingly powerful devil. She even doubted whether even Morgan could defeat this demonic man.

"I surrender—but can you spare the others?"

Lily White bit her lip as she spoke.

"I can."

Ian Song nodded.

To him, the Red Wolf Tribe was no threat—after all, he was the only Golden Core expert in the entire kingdom.

A single master could face ten thousand soldiers alone.

Not even a hundred thousand troops could kill a grandmaster.

As for a Golden Core expert, no amount of mundane soldiers could threaten him—he could fly, and from the sky, he was unbeatable.

"Lily White greets her master!"

The next moment, Lily White knelt on the ground, pledging her loyalty to Ian Song.

The Red Wolf Tribe commanders with Lily White followed suit, kneeling and hailing Ian Song as a divine lord. With Ian Song still floating in midair, his power was undeniable.

The remaining Red Wolf cavalry had already been terrified out of their wits and were fleeing in panic.

"Sir, should we chase them down?"

Derek Hill led his men out of camp, gazing at Ian Song with awe and reverence.

"No need. Let them run back and regroup all their forces—it's better to deal with them all at once." Ian Song waved his hand and descended from the sky.

Lily White and the others shuddered at his words.

Suddenly, Lily White pleaded, "Master, may I go back and persuade Morgan to surrender?"

"Surrender?"

Ian Song chuckled, "If Morgan would surrender just because you asked, he wouldn't deserve to be called the overlord of the Sirius Grasslands. Some people just have to run into a wall a few times to learn their heads aren't harder than stone!"

Just as Ian Song predicted.

When the battered soldiers returned to the tribe and told Morgan the news, he didn't cower—instead, his face twisted with rage and he became determined to kill.

One day later.

Morgan and the Sirius Grasslands' top warrior led an army of sixty thousand to attack.

Unwilling to give up, Lily White begged Ian Song again, hoping to persuade Morgan to surrender. This time, Ian Song didn't object—he knew she would fail.

Sure enough.

As soon as Lily White appeared, before she could even speak, Monty started cursing her out.

Helpless, Lily White could only retreat in disappointment.

Ian Song didn't bother arguing with the Red Wolf army. He simply soared into the sky and threw out ten thousand Explosive Talismans.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

The earth-shaking explosions continued, shaking the whole land and mingling with countless screams. When the smoke cleared, half of the sixty-thousand-strong army was gone.

Ian Song glanced at his Luck value: after wiping out thirty thousand Red Wolf soldiers, he gained over two hundred thousand points of Luck—far beyond his expectations.

Thinking of this,

He threw down another ten thousand Explosive Talismans.

When the blast subsided, only a few hundred Red Wolf cavalry remained, including Morgan, Monty, and other tribal leaders.

The next moment,

Ian Song held a longsword in his hand.

He slashed downward.

Dozens of crisscrossing sword-qi beams instantly killed everyone below—including Morgan and Monty.

Seeing this scene,

Lily White and the other surrendering leaders were wracked with grief, but powerless to do anything.

"Excellent!"

After checking the system interface again, Ian Song was very pleased—by wiping out over sixty thousand Red Wolf cavalry, he'd gained six hundred thousand Luck.

Morgan's Red Wolf tribe was the strongest among the Red Wolf people.

With their destruction, the Red Wolf Tribe could no longer threaten Liangzhou. But Ian Song didn't plan to spare the remaining Red Wolf clans—he ordered his army to sweep through the Sirius tribes.

Over the next month, Ian Song led his army to sweep across the entire Sirius Grasslands. During this time, he didn't take action himself.

He was focused on training his troops.

As expected, after dozens of battles, the new recruits grew tougher, each bearing a fierce, murderous aura.

Of course, Ian Song wasn't so ruthless as to massacre Red Wolf civilians—he targeted only the Red Wolf military forces.

A month later,

The army returned home laden with spoils of war.

This expedition to the Sirius Grasslands not only trained the troops, but also brought back a wealth of horses, cattle, sheep, furs, and gold and silver.

With these supplies, the Liangzhou army wouldn't have to worry about provisions for a whole year.

At the same time, Ian Song could train these troops into cavalry.
