Chapter 938: World
Facing the Sky Rank now, my power is still far from enough. I once thought I had truly experienced the supernatural, but without that power, maybe I could rely on Northend's strongest magitech rune arrays and mana armaments—the ones best at deduction and complex arcane sigils. If I simulated them, maybe it would work.
But now, even though everything seems correct, the simulation always fails at the last step.
"Could it be that supernatural power really isn't something mortals can grasp?"
Leon gazed at the sky, muttering to himself.
Anderson appeared beside Leon at some point, letting out a soft, melancholy sigh.
"Merlin, why bother simulating? Wouldn't owning your own power be better?"
With Anderson's words, Leon felt a spark ignite in his heart—a flash of insight he couldn't quite grasp, but his eyes lit up instantly.
Leon ignored Anderson and walked down the mountain, step by step, wandering through the demi-plane.
He walked from the lush forest to the grasslands, from snowy peaks to lakes, and finally reached the edge of the demi-plane. Staring out at the chaotic void beyond, where earth, fire, water, and wind swirled in turmoil, Leon's eyes grew brighter and brighter.
A faint, inexplicable ripple began to emanate from within Leon.
The harvest along this journey had been far too varied, too abundant—so much so that he hadn’t managed to fully integrate everything yet.
Now, Leon felt he was finally beginning to truly assimilate all he had learned; the process had already begun...
Step by step, he walked through the demi-plane, observing and contemplating this world. Leon could sense that the thread of magical law belonging to him was already starting to take shape.
Ordinary Title Archmages, at the earliest, only begin to form their own thread of magical law at Fifth Rank. This is the crucial preparation for entering Sky Rank, and when that law finally takes shape, it marks the moment of ascension.
But Leon had repeatedly suppressed his rank, insisting on fusing Constantine’s Skull of Wisdom before advancing to Title Archmage.
It was precisely because, after becoming a Title Archmage, he could immediately begin cultivating that thread of law unique to himself.
Yet after advancing to First-Rank Title Archmage, Leon did sense his own law beginning to brew—far faster than even the most gifted Title Archmages.
But even now, it had yet to truly take form—not even a hint of its shape!
Now, though, he could finally feel it for real.
