Senior Brother

"What's your name?" Mad Elder asked curiously.

"Yang Han." Yang Han smiled.

Mad Elder was stunned. He looked Yang Han up and down and said, "Impossible. Are you messing with me?"

"Senior, it's really me." After Yang Han finished speaking, he restored his true appearance. The face that originally belonged to him appeared before Mad Elder.

Both Mad Elder and Lora Luo were slightly surprised, while Hannah Nangong and Chase Chu already knew Yang Han's true appearance, so they weren't particularly shocked.

"You, you... When did you arrive in the Immortal Realm?" Mad Elder asked.

"It's been several decades now," Yang Han replied with a smile.

"So it really is you? You amaze me! I thought after we parted, it would be a long time before we met again. I never expected this." Mad Elder exclaimed in delight, feeling happier than ever before.

Yang Han hadn't expected to have such an impact on Mad Elder. Everyone present was curious about the relationship between Yang Han and Mad Elder.

"Senior, I didn't know you were from the Immortal Realm, let alone an elder of the Blue Robe Sect. Now I know." Yang Han smiled. "Forget about being an elder—come on, give me some of your good wine. I thought I'd never get to drink your wine again." Mad Elder laughed.

Yang Han smiled, "No problem."

After that, everyone followed Mad Elder up the mountain to his usual cave dwelling, which was filled with the smell of wine. Ordinary people would find it hard to endure; even Hannah Nangong and the others found it overpowering.

"Come on, hurry up!" Mad Elder said excitedly.

Yang Han took out the Dreamwine for Mad Elder, who drank it eagerly. His intoxicated, almost comical expression appeared before everyone.

They could even see tears streaming from the corners of Mad Elder's eyes.

"What's this?" Lora Luo had never seen Mad Elder like this. In her eyes, he was always crazy and carefree, but Yang Han knew that every time Mad Elder drank this wine, he would react this way, so he didn't interrupt.

Mad Elder finally sobered up and laughed, "Thank you."

"Senior, you're too polite." Yang Han knew Mad Elder must have seen his most beautiful memories, otherwise he wouldn't react like this.

"Alright, today I'm so happy! Kid, since you've joined my sect, hehe, from now on I'm your master." Mad Elder laughed.

Yang Han was stunned, and Chase Chu even more so. If Yang Han was his master, and now Yang Han was Mad Elder's disciple, what should he call him?

Yang Han figured he still had nearly a hundred years before he needed to find the Yang family, so he had his own plans. He said, "Alright, anyway, I have plenty of masters."

"Alright, that's settled. From today, you're the senior disciple of our branch. Everything is under your control, and your actions represent our faction." Mad Elder said.

Lora Luo and Chase Chu were stunned—this was a huge amount of authority. Yang Han, however, felt helpless; how could things be handed over so casually? He could only say, "Senior, is this really how it works?"

"Wrong. Call me Master." Mad Elder said.

Yang Han sighed, "Alright, Master. But isn't this unreasonable? I've just joined—how can I convince everyone? Besides, you have so many disciples; they must all be strong, right?"

"Pfft, I don't have that many disciples. Ask Chase Chu how many I have." Mad Elder said.

Chase Chu replied awkwardly, "Actually, including me, there are only five."

"What?" Yang Han was dumbfounded. How does Mad Elder recruit disciples?

"No choice. I don't like managing people or recruiting them. The sect forced them on me, so I reluctantly accepted. Otherwise, I prefer peace and quiet." Mad Elder said casually.

Everyone looked down on such a master, but Yang Han said, "Master, you really have some skill."

"Of course. What did you expect?" Mad Elder replied casually.

"Alright, I accept." Yang Han said.

"Good, not bad. When you have time, I'll teach you some of the Blue Robe Sect's profound sword techniques." Mad Elder said.

"Huh? Master, why haven't I learned them?" Chase Chu exclaimed. "You aren't strong enough, and you don't have the potential. This kid is special." Mad Elder said.

Yang Han was speechless—who talks about their disciples like that? Still, he was curious about the Blue Robe Sect's powerful sword arts. "Alright, that's settled. Once you win the Trial of Gates, let me know, and I'll arrange training time for you." Mad Elder said.

Yang Han nodded. Then he saw Mad Elder hugging his wine gourd and drinking, ignoring everyone else.

Yang Han shook his head helplessly, then said to everyone, "Alright, let's just wait for news tomorrow."

Lora Luo thanked him gratefully, "Thank you."

"No need. If I can help, I'm naturally willing." Yang Han said.

Lora Luo nodded, then said, "Let me show you around the Blue Robe Sect."

Yang Han nodded and followed Lora Luo, with Hannah Nangong and Chase Chu leaving as well. Mad Elder, hugging his wine gourd, smiled and said, "I really never expected it—this kid actually made it to the Immortal Realm, and..."

Thinking of all this, Mad Elder found it unbelievable.

Meanwhile, Yang Han was touring some places with Lora Luo, getting to know the Blue Robe Sect.

Elsewhere, Sean Shen was with Elder Joe Qiao.

"Master, you mean Aunt Qing also refused?" Sean Shen sounded a bit disappointed.

"Yes, she insists on letting Lora Luo choose for herself, and Lora refuses too," Elder Joe Qiao said.

Sean Shen grew anxious when he heard this. "Master, that won't do. I must have her."

"Don't worry, I've already arranged the Trial of Gates. That way, you can win her. At that point, she'll have to accept you unconditionally. Besides, your strength is greater than Lora Luo's, and in the final match, you'll definitely win. Among our peers, you're the strongest. I don't believe they can find anyone to stop you." Elder Joe Qiao said.

Sean Shen was overjoyed. "Thank you, Master."

"But just in case, you should pick someone to assist you too," Elder Joe Qiao said.

"Pick someone? For all the battles?" Sean Shen asked curiously.

"No, it's five rounds plus the final. For the first five rounds, you have one chance to let someone else help you, but that person's strength can't be higher than yours. That's how it works," Elder Joe Qiao said.

"I see. Don't worry, I'll pick Bald Li. That should do it," Sean Shen said.

"Good, that's settled. I'll submit your names now. The Trial of Gates will likely start tomorrow," Elder Joe Qiao said.

"Thank you, Master!" Sean Shen said excitedly.

"Yes, you must do your best. I have high hopes for you, so you must win no matter what," Elder Joe Qiao said.

"Master, is that technique really that powerful?" Sean Shen asked curiously. "That's right. If you cultivate it, and with Lora Luo's help, your strength will increase a lot, and it'll help you improve in the future too," Elder Joe Qiao said.

"That's great, Master. I'll do my best," Sean Shen said.

"Alright, go get ready," Elder Joe Qiao said.

Sean Shen nodded and left. After he was gone, Elder Joe Qiao sighed, "Junior Sister, don't blame me. I just want Sean Shen to become stronger."

After leaving, Sean Shen secretly rejoiced, "Aunt Qing, so what if you disagree? The sect has the Trial of Gates. As long as I win, you'll still be mine—even if you don't like it, what can you do? You're a woman, bound by the sect's rules."

Sean Shen was determined to win Lora Luo. His eyes were already red with desire. Though he was disappointed to learn Lora disagreed, now that he had a way, he couldn't wait. Among peers in his sect and rank, he was among the top. To put it bluntly, he claimed second place—no one dared claim first.

Meanwhile, as Yang Han and the others were strolling around, Yang Han asked, "I wonder how strong Sean Shen is?"

"Second stage Immortal Lord, and among those of the same rank, he's unbeatable—very powerful," Lora Luo said.

"Second stage Immortal Lord, huh? Got it," Yang Han replied.

"Are you confident? If not, forget it. He'll definitely go all out," Lora Luo said.

Yang Han smiled, "Don't worry. I'm actually curious to see how outstanding he really is."

"He has a sword called the Gentleman Sword. It's very powerful. Combined with the Blue Robe Sect's sword techniques, its might is immense. I'm worried about that," Lora Luo said, still a bit anxious.

"Don't worry, I'm not that fragile," Yang Han replied.

"Let me lend you this sword." Lora Luo took out the Silver-Spirit Sword and handed it to Yang Han.

Yang Han glanced at the Silver-Spirit Sword and smiled, "Forget it. If I accidentally trigger its spatial power, that'll be a problem."

"It won't. It's not fully awakened yet," Lora Luo said.

"No need. You keep it. I'll find my own way," Yang Han said.

Seeing Yang Han's persistent refusal, Lora Luo stopped insisting and continued to accompany them as they strolled.

On the way, Yang Han thought for a moment and asked Hannah Nangong, "I'm planning to stay here for a while. What about you?"

"Of course I'll stay with you," Hannah Nangong replied without hesitation.

Yang Han nodded, "Alright, I'll ask."

Then Yang Han turned to Lora Luo and asked, "Miss Nangong is a woman, so it's not suitable for her to stay in our branch. She should stay with you in your residence. Is that okay?"

"No problem," Lora Luo said with a smile.

Hannah Nangong understood Yang Han's reasoning. After all, their branch was all men, so a woman would naturally feel awkward. Hannah Nangong didn't object—instead, she accepted Yang Han's suggestion.

After everyone had finished their fun, Hannah Nangong went back with Lora Luo, while Yang Han and Chase Chu returned to their branch.

"Master, how should I address you from now on?" Chase Chu asked, feeling troubled.

"When others are around, just call me Senior Brother. When we're alone, call me Master. There's nothing awkward about it," Yang Han said.

"Oh, alright, got it. I really didn't expect you'd know Mad Elder," Chase Chu said.

"Yeah, I didn't expect it either. Turns out he's in the Immortal Realm, and part of the Blue Robe Sect." Thinking of the past, Yang Han felt nostalgic, especially for friends from his own world. He wondered when he'd see them again.

"Master, what are you thinking about?" Chase Chu asked, seeing Yang Han lost in thought.

"Nothing, just thinking about some things," Yang Han replied with a smile.

They happened to arrive outside Mad Elder's cave. Hearing their conversation, Mad Elder laughed, "What are you two chatting about?"
