Absolute Cleave Versus Heaven‑Phantom Thunder Cleave Part Two

1/19/2026

The combined offensive power of Evan Chu and the Valley Master of Lost Gods Valley was immense—the destructive force unleashed here far surpassed Evan’s earlier clash with the middle-aged man, and was now on par with battles between the Rainbow Court Mistress and the Flying Heaven Sect Master.

Bear in mind, Evan Chu’s current cultivation is only at late-stage God-Emperor, yet here he is battling a late-stage God-Venerable head-on—an achievement that’s truly mind-boggling.

Energy storms raged everywhere. Much of Evan Chu’s sword-qi was blocked by the Valley Master, but not all of it—especially now, with Ninefold Divine-Dragon Metamorphosis and the Chaos Arm boosting his strike, the power of this blow was close to a full-force attack from an early or even mid-stage God-Venerable.

When Evan Chu unleashed Absolute Cleave, he also released the water element he’d been gathering for ages—this time, he transformed it into ice. The moment his sword-qi struck, he froze his opponent in Mystic Ice.

Evan Chu had timed everything perfectly. When the Valley Master broke out of the Mystic Ice, the powerful sword-qi attack landed right on him. Unless he saw through Evan’s plan, he was bound to get hit.

This sudden turn of events completely caught the Valley Master off guard. His body was trapped in a thick layer of Mystic Ice, leaving him unable to move—especially critical at such a pivotal moment.

Although the Mystic Ice was thick, to a late-stage God-Venerable it was as fragile as paper. With a full-body tremor, the ice shattered and flew apart, instantly swept away by the raging sword-qi and energy storm, reduced to mere water-element particles.

But at that exact moment, Evan Chu’s sword-qi landed squarely on the Valley Master. This was the second time he’d been injured—and to make matters worse, it was by an ‘ant’ several realms beneath him. This time the damage was serious: nearly a third of his muscles were destroyed, numerous bones fractured, and the pain made his vision blur and sweat pour down his face.

His whole body shot away like a kite with a broken string. The followers who’d come with the Valley Master rushed to catch him—he was in such a sorry state, he felt like he was about to lose his mind, driven half-crazy by a mere ‘ant.’

He hadn’t expected to be tricked like this—what a disgrace! Yet the sheer power of Absolute Cleave was terrifying; to be wounded so badly was far beyond what any ordinary attack could achieve.

The Valley Master of Lost Gods Valley retrieved a pill from his storage ring and swallowed it, feeling much better instantly. His internal organs were now exposed for all to see—a truly terrifying sight. But at this moment, he didn’t care about any of that. In his eyes, only by slaying Evan Chu could he vent the rage burning in his heart.

The Valley Master had been gravely wounded by Evan Chu’s Absolute Cleave, but Evan himself was no less battered by the Valley Master’s Heaven-Phantom Thunder Cleave—perhaps even worse off, given the gap in their realms. After all, the Valley Master was a late-stage God-Venerable.

Much of the muscle on Evan’s body had been blasted away, and the power of thunder had left him pitch-black all over, as if he’d been smeared with coal dust. His hair stood on end, hardly any different from someone struck by lightning during a tribulation.

Several bones had been broken, and golden blood stained his body red. Yet Evan felt no pain from these wounds—on the contrary, he was exhilarated. To battle a late-stage God-Venerable head-on was simply too thrilling.

He circulated the wood element within his body, rapidly repairing his injuries. Even the eighth layer of his Starforge Body had been battered to this extent—proof enough of how terrifying the Heaven-Phantom Thunder Cleave was. Of course, if Evan were also a late-stage God-Venerable, he believed his Absolute Cleave could instantly kill the Valley Master.

Slowly climbing up from the ground, Evan took a deep breath. The thunder energy within him had nearly faded away, thanks to the God Infant’s intervention. With the God Infant’s help, much of his pain was eased—at least he wouldn’t have to endure the torment of thunder anymore. Even a Thunder Spirit Body couldn’t withstand such agony.

Evan glanced at his wounds, already beginning to heal, and at the new flesh slowly growing back. Such terrifying recovery speed was almost unheard of in the God Realm. He felt he still had strength for another round, and the swelling in his dantian hadn’t lessened much—the energy from God’s Blood was truly monstrous.

Perhaps if he could fully awaken it, he might break through to mid-stage God-Venerable. But who knew how long that day would take to arrive? This awakening was pure luck.

"Valley Master, let me go and slay that arrogant brat! To think he could injure you so badly—it’s my failure for not protecting you!" said an elderly man beside the Valley Master of Lost Gods Valley.

"This is my own affair. I’ll handle it myself. Don’t trouble yourself—he’s not someone ordinary people can deal with. Just look at the fate of Third Elder. When we arrived, he was barely hurt, but now? There are very few in the God Realm who could injure me, and he’s definitely one of them," the Valley Master replied.

"Back then, no one took the reincarnation of Lord Frostbane, the God Realm’s number one powerhouse, as a joke. I was simply careless, thinking he was just a late-stage God-Emperor and not worth worrying about. That’s why I suffered this setback. This time, I must go all out against him," the Valley Master declared.

By now, Evan had recovered more than half his injuries. In a flash, he appeared before the Valley Master and laughed, "Looks like you’re getting weaker and weaker. If this is all you’ve got, you’re not even my match. How about I do you a favor—kill you here, and make Lost Gods Valley the future site of my Frostbane Divine Palace?"

That would save this sovereign a ton of resources, and you could rest easy. With me here, your legacy will surely flourish!"

"Frostbane, you’re far too arrogant! In the past, I did fear you, but now, you’re nothing in my eyes. Killing you will be all too easy. Now let me show you my true power!" The Valley Master could no longer stand Evan’s taunts.

"Talk is cheap. I want to see real strength. Come on! Let me finish you today!" Evan shot back, refusing to back down.

Right now, he was bluffing, putting on a show of bravado. His only hope lay in borrowing Stellar Power. He believed that after breaking through several realms, his Stellar Power would be strong enough—maybe even enough to withstand the Valley Master’s next strike.

This time, the Valley Master truly borrowed Stellar Power. He pointed his longsword to the sky, and in an instant, a mighty pillar of starlight descended, pouring into the blade and then into his own body.

The Stellar Power the Valley Master drew was far stronger than what the previous mid-stage God-Venerable had wielded. Evan could clearly feel the pressure radiating from the sword.

But Evan wasn’t about to back down. If the Valley Master could borrow Stellar Power, so could he. He quickly connected with the three Star Points in his body, and instantly, three pillars of starlight descended from the sky, flooding him with Stellar Power…
