I listened quietly as the Heavenly Soul described everything he had seen inside my body.
I was supposed to die, but I was brought back from the banks of the River of Forgetfulness to the world of the living. It was the Saint of the Underworld who did this. Even now, I have no idea what his true purpose was.
"As for the Saint of the Underworld's intentions, I don't know either. The only explanation is that perhaps he has some unknown expectations for you."
I hummed in response. The Heavenly Soul stood up, then drifted over to a cherry blossom tree, quietly leaning against it. Instantly, tender green grass sprouted beneath him. I walked over and sat on a large stone, my Ghost Souls trailing behind me.
"Come outside. When I finish speaking, you'll need to release something."
I hummed in reply.
"After you were resurrected, there were a few changes. Do you know what they are, Ethan?"
I shook my head in confusion. The Heavenly Soul smiled, mentioning the changes after my resurrection—perhaps it was meeting these Ghost Souls, all of whom became my companions.
"Let me explain this part."
At that moment, the Grievance Ghost stepped forward. He was the first Ghost Soul I found in the Forest of Wailing beside the Yellow Springs Road.
