Never Want to Come Back Again

12/2/2025

From the carriage, a sudden burst of drums and gongs erupted, lively and deafening, leaving the entire village outside frozen in shock.

Qin Sanniang stared dumbfounded at the carriage compartment: "W-what's that noise? Did you all hear it?"

The villagers, crude in speech, immediately had a few rascals jump up shouting, "Who’s hiccupping and farting so loud?"

"Yeah, that’s the legendary Eighteen-Turn Chain Fart!"

The whole village burst into laughter around the carriage. Princess Mingyu slumped inside, utterly hopeless.

But just as the villagers laughed and teased each other about the noise, a foul stench wafted from the carriage. Qin Sanniang, closest to it, couldn’t avoid inhaling a breath...

Emma, that sour sting!

Qin Sanniang immediately gagged and spit it out.

Half the villagers were affected by the stench, and the other half were triggered by seeing Qin Sanniang vomit. Soon, everyone was retching around the carriage—a truly spectacular scene!

Li Gouzi leaned against a tree, vomiting messily, wiping his mouth as he cursed, "Who the hell farted so foully? It’s killing me! How can a fart be this disgusting? My mother’s fart isn’t this bad!"

Wang Shi also vomited, pointing at the carriage: "It must be that rich young lady inside! I thought rich folks only drank fine wine and never pooped, but turns out they’re even grosser than us country folk!"

"Yeah, that rich young lady—what’s her name? Mingyu, right? I think we should just call her Stinky Fart Miss. So disgusting!"

"Stinky Fart Miss, haha, I’ll remember that. Next time she comes, I’ll call her that!"

The villagers’ crude words rang in the air. Princess Mingyu hid inside the carriage, not daring to show her face. Her cheeks flushed purple as she gripped her skirt so hard her nails broke. She kicked Lv Luo fiercely and said, "You go out and tell everyone it was your fart! Hic..."

Lv Luo trembled, not daring to disobey Princess Mingyu’s order. She crawled out of the carriage crying, "It was, it was me who farted, not my lady!"

Lv Luo’s words were like a giveaway, and the villagers burst into loud laughter.

Princess Mingyu looked like she wanted to stab Lv Luo to death, scolding, "Useless thing! Quickly, get the carriage to leave! I never want to come to this crude countryside again! Never in my life!"

Hearing the villagers’ crude laughter outside, Princess Mingyu covered her ears and buried her face in her skirt. The psychological shadow this village cast on her was bigger than that of her homeland, Chu Kingdom.

Even if Xiao Zitian lived in Haizi Village, Princess Mingyu no longer had the face to enter the village.

The carriage swiftly drove out amid the villagers’ mockery. What Princess Mingyu didn’t know was that her incident would become a humorous tale passed down generations in Haizi Village, a joke for many.

After the carriage left, Qin Sanniang hugged the silver coins happily—it was a windfall!

With no more excitement to watch, the villagers dispersed. Qin Sanniang didn’t care about Zhang Zhaocai and hurried home clutching the silver.

Zhang Zhaocai stood still, head down. No one noticed that when Qin Sanniang pushed him down earlier, his hands and legs scraped against the gravel, now bleeding.

Zhang Zhaocai stood alone, feeling as if the whole world had abandoned him.

He reached into his pocket, touching the two small wooden figurines he hid there. That eased his sadness a bit as he limped home.

There were still many chores waiting for him at home.

What Zhang Zhaocai didn’t know was that behind a nearby tree, a pair of eyes were watching him with a crazed expression...
