After parting ways with Liam Lee, Ian Song activated his movement technique and headed toward the Wulan River below Sacred Mountain. The Wulan River was the main waterway beneath Sacred Mountain, and as for Sacred Mountain itself, Ian Song suspected it was actually a colossal divine artifact disguised as a mountain range.
Once he reached the riverbank, Ian Song stopped worrying about being seen and summoned his flying sword, stepping onto it. In the next instant, a streak of green sword light shot up toward the sky...
After crossing Sacred Mountain, Ian Song put away his flying sword and switched to the Silverglow Skiff, his expression growing noticeably more serious.
He controlled the Silverglow Skiff to cruise at eighty li per second. On his way here, he hadn't encountered any Nascent Soul stage Demonic Beasts, but who knew if he'd run into one on the way back? So he kept a close eye on his surroundings the whole time.
Somewhere deep in the primeval forest, inside a mountain valley, a gigantic striped tiger was sprawled lazily on a flat boulder, basking in the sun with a look of utter relaxation.
Suddenly, as if sensing something, the tiger snapped its eyes open.
A fierce, almost human intelligence flashed through its stern gaze. The next moment, the tiger actually spoke in a booming voice, sounding annoyed: "Last time, this king let a human junior off the hook, but you dare to fly over my head again?"
Up in the sky, Ian Song continued steering the Silverglow Skiff with caution, when suddenly a strong sense of danger welled up inside him.
"Not good!"
He cursed inwardly, intending to accelerate the Silverglow Skiff.
But just then, a gigantic tiger claw appeared out of thin air in the sky, blotting out the sun.
With the appearance of the tiger claw, the entire surrounding space froze; even the Silverglow Skiff was forced to a stop.
"Last time, I let you off, human junior, but you dare to fly over this king's head again? Die!"
The tiger's thick, menacing voice echoed across the sky, the powerful sound waves nearly deafening Ian Song.
Crack! Crack!
As the tiger claw descended, Ian Song heard the sound of his bones breaking. He was certain that even before the claw landed, the pressure alone would crush him into pulp.
"Damn it! It must be a Nascent Soul stage Demonic Beast!" Ian Song cursed inwardly, activating his Spatial Stasis divine ability.
In the next instant, a nearly frozen pocket world materialized, enveloping Ian Song within.
"Meow-Meow, hurry, I need to enter a Fictional World!" Ian Song shouted in panic. He had no idea if the Spatial Stasis pocket could withstand the tiger's claw—the only chance to survive was to escape into a Fictional World.
A door of light appeared before him, and without hesitation, he dashed inside.
