Lucia Lu helped the two up, took out a small bottle from her storage pouch, and said to the little girl, "Apply this medicine to your face, and ugly spots will appear. When you no longer need a disguise, boil water with a Soulveil Bamboo tube and drink it, and within a month your face will recover. Don't ever ruin your face with other methods again!"
The little girl was overjoyed and happily accepted it.
Then, the two of them left the mountain.
Up in the clouds, Lucia Lu said, "Fifth Highness, we must report this to His Majesty the Celestial Emperor!"
Sean Shaw thought for a moment and said, "We only know the surface. We need a deeper investigation and more evidence. Otherwise, if we alert them, they'll clean up everything immediately. They might even kill every witness."
Lucia Lu nodded.
Sean glanced at the sky and said, "It's almost dawn. Let's head back first. We'll discuss the details later."
"Alright."
So the two of them used the Eternal Wishfish again, letting it teleport them out.
After they got out, Lucia Lu looked at the fish with admiration and said, "Fifth Highness, your treasure is just too powerful!"
Treasure... way too powerful...
Fifth Highness suddenly lowered his gaze, and, for some reason, quickly rolled up the scroll a bit roughly.
Seeing his over-the-top reaction, Lucia Lu laughed and said, "What's with you? I'm not going to steal your fish! Besides, it recognizes its master—no one can take it away, right?"
Sean just grunted and flew off first.
Back at the Palace Guard Barracks, Sean escorted Lucia Lu to her door before heading off.
Lucia Lu suddenly remembered something and called out, "Fifth Highness!"
Sean turned around to look at her.
"This," she said, holding out an egg in her hand.
"What's that?"
"There's a flower seed inside. Crack open the top, pour in some water, and it'll bloom. Here, it's for you—thanks for putting up with all my chaos tonight." She handed the egg to him.
Sean took the egg and walked away.
......
The next night, the three Lu siblings, Adrian Drake, and Sean Shaw gathered to discuss the Hundred Blossoms Paradise situation.
"If this really involves the Xuanchen Clan, it's no small matter," Ryan Lu frowned. "We have to be careful and only act with solid evidence. Otherwise, we might end up worse off than before!"
"Wow! What kind of saying is that? 'Worse off than before' is for describing when you mess up on purpose. Are we doing something bad here?" Adrian Drake scoffed.
"Uh... you know what I mean," Ryan Lu said. "We need evidence, or else we might fail and just end up in trouble."
"That's why I called everyone here—to brainstorm together," Lucia Lu said. "Anyone got ideas?"
Ryan Lu said, "How about we get someone to go undercover, infiltrate them long-term?"
"Who?" Luna Lian asked.
"Hmm..." Ryan Lu thought for ages, then shook his head. "If it's a man, he probably can't get close to the core. If it's a woman, she'd have to sell herself. That's just impossible!"
"I think we should ask Baxa about the situation," Lucia Lu said. "He suddenly attacked the Xuanchen Clan's territory, so there must be a reason! Maybe it's connected to Lady Lana He!"
Adrian Drake replied, "Makes sense, but it's not doable. The Palace Guard is searching everywhere for him and can't find him. If they can't, we definitely can't."
