Wrath of the Masses

At this moment, the Chaotic Continent could no longer be called the Chaotic Continent. Endless primordial chaos essence was dissipating, and even if all the master Arraycrafters came forward to repair it, they could not stop the escape of this chaos energy.

Some low-level cultivators knelt on the ground in despair. Why had they stayed in this part of the Chaotic Continent? Was it not for the endless cultivation essence? Now that this essence was gone, did they have any hope of progress by remaining here?

In the vast void outside this universe, there was simply no way to cultivate; everywhere was barren of divine energy. It could be said that the continent they lived on was the very essence of this universe, confining all the chaos essence.

"Who did this? I’ll devour him!" Such frenzied roars echoed in every corner of this land.

Joe Di had directly taken away the Array Core Oath Platform. No matter how powerful the spirit-confining arrays were across the Chaotic Continent, none could restrain the chaos essence of this land anymore.

In the City Lord’s mansion of Genesis City, Byron True stood up with bloodshot eyes. Although Joe Di’s seventh blade did not finish him off, he was still seriously wounded. After days of healing, he had not fully recovered, but now he could not bear to continue recuperating. If he did not capture Joe Di and tear him to pieces, Byron True feared his rage would consume him.

"Brother True, I can’t wait any longer. I need to catch that ant and rip him apart right now." Quinn Yan’s voice came at just the right moment.

With chaos essence dissipating everywhere in the Chaotic Continent, it made no difference where Quinn Yan and Byron True stayed. On top of their injuries, Quinn Yan had remained in Genesis City for days to recover.

"Brother Quinn, Joe Di is only enjoying a moment’s triumph. Soon, he will regret ever appearing in this world." Byron True sneered, promising that Joe Di would regret coming here.

"Brother True, do you have a way to deal with Joe Di?" Quinn Yan asked in surprise.

Byron True looked at Quinn Yan and said, "Brother Quinn, you should know where Joe Di is, right?"

Quinn Yan did not hide anything and nodded. "Yes, but I suspect he has already used the Rift Dao Token to leave this universe. Also, he has two Rift Dao Tokens. According to what I’ve heard, he has already shifted the Chaos Gate. Unfortunately, I only know the general direction where he moved the Chaos Gate, but I can’t pinpoint the exact location."

Byron True secretly mocked Quinn Yan and his subordinates as useless, but outwardly said, "Don’t worry, Brother Quinn. I can find out exactly where he is, and I’m certain he hasn’t left the Chaos Gate."

"Why?" Quinn Yan looked at Byron True in confusion.

Byron True spoke slowly, "Because he wants to refine the Oath Platform. Joe Di may have obtained a top-tier world that surpasses the Five Elements Universe, which is almost unbelievable. But that’s the reality—otherwise, he couldn’t have taken the Oath Platform. Even if his strength doubled, it would still take tens of thousands of years to refine it. We just need to surround the place where he’s refining the Oath Platform, and we can capture him."

"He has the Rift Dao Token and can leave at any time," Quinn Yan said, puzzled.

Byron True replied calmly, "After he opens the Chaos Gate, we can follow the gate’s passage out as well. The passage of the Chaos Gate will remain open for the duration of one incense stick. In that time, cultivators from our universe can all leave."

"What if he doesn’t refine the Oath Platform?" Quinn Yan frowned.

Byron True cursed inwardly, thinking this guy was truly a fool. Despite guarding the protective array for so many years, he hadn’t improved at all.

But since he needed to cooperate with Quinn Yan now, Byron True continued to explain, "Because Joe Di wants to break the Chaos Gate and use the Oath Platform to block the connection between the two realms."

At this point in the conversation, even Quinn Yan began to understand. Joe Di wanted to merge the cosmic laws inside and outside the Chaos Gate—what a fool.

"Is he really that noble?" Quinn Yan was skeptical.

Byron True said, "It’s not about being noble or not. In fact, even if Joe Di didn’t do it, I would have done so myself in a few thousand years."

"You don’t actually believe that merging the laws inside and outside the Chaos Gate will let us step into the Creation Realm, do you?" Quinn Yan looked at Byron True in surprise.

Byron True chuckled. "Of course I’m not as foolish as Joe Di, thinking that merging the universe’s laws will let everyone advance further. But Joe Di isn’t entirely wrong—after merging the laws, our cultivation will indeed improve. That’s not my real goal, though. Brother Quinn, let’s talk about all this after we catch Joe Di."

As he spoke, Byron True kept tossing out Array Banners.

Quinn Yan was curious but powerless to ask why Byron True wouldn’t explain. He could control the protective array of this land mainly because Byron True had allowed him to. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have managed it. To show he was stronger than Byron True, he styled himself as Dao Master.

"Brother True, it seems the Array Core has been destroyed by Joe Di. Isn’t it useless for you to scatter these Array Banners?" Quinn Yan saw Byron True scattering the banners for the protective array of this land and couldn’t help but remark.

Byron True ignored Quinn Yan. Joe Di had only taken away the Array Core; the protective array could no longer restrain the chaos essence, but that didn’t stop Byron True from using the array to transmit his voice.

After scattering all the Array Banners, Byron True finally spoke loudly, "Fellow Daoists of the inner Chaotic Continent, I am Byron True, City Lord of Genesis City. Today, I am both ashamed and furious. I am ashamed because, after guarding this land’s protective array for so many years, it was still shattered not long ago. Both Quinn Yan and I were seriously injured. With the protective array broken, all the chaos essence we relied on to survive has dissipated."

All of this was caused by a cultivator named Joe Di. This land would soon cease to exist; without divine energy, it would become an ordinary place, and some areas might even collapse. Joe Di destroyed our homeland, our future, and our hope for survival. I hope that once you leave, you will not forget this man.

No matter who it is, if you encounter anyone related to this person, you may kill them all. If you get any information about him, report directly to me, Byron True. As for how to leave this place, don’t worry—after I leave Genesis City, I’ll leave a trail of marks. Just follow my marks and you’ll be able to get out..."

All the cultivators, still grieving in pain, were stunned. Through the land’s protective array, they heard everything Byron True said. Only now did they realize that it was a cultivator named Joe Di who had destroyed everything they had.

At this moment, their hatred finally had a target: Joe Di. Once they left, anyone connected to Joe Di would become their target for slaughter... On any star continent, if there was a connection to Joe Di, it must be destroyed...

No, once they left, everyone in the Outer Realm of the Five Elements Universe would be their target for slaughter. If you want the chaos essence of this land, you’ll have to trade your life for it.

Even Quinn Yan, who was working with Byron True, had to admit Byron True’s ruthlessness. With this move, not only was Joe Di doomed, but anyone connected to him was also doomed. Joe Di probably never imagined he would face such terrifying consequences.

......

"Joe Di!" At the edge of the Celestial Vine Pool, billions of miles from Genesis City, a scholar-looking, short-statured man shouted fiercely, then punched the pool. The cultivation holy pool coveted by every cultivator in the Chaotic Continent shattered into pieces.

The man spoke each word forcefully: "Joe Di, if I, Vincent Wen, do not grind your bones to dust, then I am no better than a pig."

In the entire Chaotic Continent, very few had ever seen Vincent Wen. Yet no one dared covet his Celestial Vine Pool, because those who tried were dead. There was a rumor in this land that one of the three top experts—The Forgotten One, who ranked alongside Quinn Yan and Byron True—was killed by Vincent Wen. Thus, Vincent Wen’s strength was the most mysterious in this land.

If some were unsure about this, everyone knew the story of the most beautiful and talented woman in the Chaotic Continent, Kiana Yin.

Back then, the legendary group The Nineteen Slayers, who rampaged through the Chaotic Continent, offended Kiana Yin and were wiped out by her. The Nineteen Slayers were not a single person, but nineteen peak Convergence Realm experts. Each one could shake the land, yet Kiana Yin killed them all at once.

Yet such a powerful Kiana Yin was imprisoned by Vincent Wen in the Endless Icefield, simply for calling him a toad. She never recovered.

(That’s all for today’s update. Good night, friends!)
