Deified in a Single Battle

"What the hell is this monster?!" Right now, seeing Ryan Ling suddenly shoot up into the sky, all the helicopter pilots around him were dumbfounded. With firepower this intense, the guy could still block it? Those shells could punch through steel plates more than ten meters thick, but against Ryan Ling, it was like they didn't even exist!

"Slash!" At that moment, the "Defiant Divine Dragon" behind Ryan Ling suddenly lunged forward, snapping its jaws down in a flash—instantly tearing two Cobra helicopters apart.

"Attack again—use the missiles!" one of the pilots shouted, and immediately five or six helicopters launched at once. Six Scud-class Missiles shot out from all directions, blasting toward Ryan Ling.

These missiles might be small, but they're way deadlier than regular shells. For a moment, Ryan Ling retreated slightly.

"Trying to run? Blow him to pieces!" one of the pilots yelled, and two more Scud-class Missiles came screaming in.

A total of eight missiles locked onto Ryan Ling. These things had insane tracking—no matter how he ran, they'd chase him down and wouldn't stop until they hit!

"Is Ryan Ling done for?"

"It's already a miracle if a human martial artist can block artillery, but missiles are a whole different beast—how could anyone possibly stop them?"

"One guy against an entire army—everyone knows how that's gonna end. I mean, he's human, not a god!"

......

At this moment, everyone around saw Ryan Ling retreating, their faces stretched tight with anxiety—despair written all over them!

Meanwhile, inside the Itagaki Brigade, everyone was watching this heart-stopping chase play out, grinning with smug satisfaction. Those missiles—all American-made—were the same kind they'd used to wipe out Middle Eastern God-Realm assassins back in the day.

Ryan Ling trying to break through that missile web in the sky? Impossible. Even if he was made out of steel, they'd blast him into dust!

"Damn it, when is General Kenneth Li's unit gonna punch a hole in their lines? We can't keep going like this!" Right now, it wasn't just the Itagaki Brigade watching—Huaxia's top brass were glued to every move on the battlefield.

Everyone knew that, no matter how strong Ryan Ling was, one guy couldn't possibly hold off thousands of troops—especially with the Itagaki Brigade's cutting-edge weapons. Even if humans hit their max potential, there's no way they could block this stuff.

"General Kenneth Li's guys are already fighting to the death. He's sent ten suicide squads to try and break through, but the American defenses are just too tough. Their missile shield on the perimeter is basically unbreakable. Li's fleet has already lost three ships, and the casualties are piling up!"

"That's right—General Kenneth Li and Ryan Ling are tight. He's even more desperate than we are, but Japan's defenses really are next-level. We definitely underestimated them!"

......

Right then, listening to the reports from the military commission bigwigs, the short commander gritted his teeth: "No matter what, we have to tear open Japan's defenses. No way I'm letting that kid die! Are all the other units in position? Especially the missile corps—aim right at the American bases and blast the hell out of those bastards! I've wanted to wipe them out for ages!"

"Sir, per your orders, the missile corps is ready and waiting for your command!" a senior missile officer reported quickly.

"Fire immediately!" The short commander saw eight Scud-class Missiles surrounding Ryan Ling and slammed the table, shouting, "Launch eighty of them—blow those bastards away!"

"Understood!" The missile corps didn't hesitate for a second, launching the missiles right away. In recent years, Huaxia's missiles had advanced fast—their destructive power now rivaled America's. This was the first time they'd ever used them, but they looked seriously badass.

In an instant, that American base was hit with total annihilation!

Right then, General Kenneth Li's Goldridge fleet launched the fiercest attack, the South Sea Fleet went all-in, the air force scrambled, and several aircraft carriers steamed out of port—a full-on siege of Japan was rolling in, faster than anyone could react.

These past few years—from Diaosha Island to Jiangdong Province nearly falling to the Japanese, to Goldridge, to Su Province, to the Sansha Islands—Japan had run wild on Huaxia's turf more times than anyone could count.

Huaxia's higher-ups had been trying to hold back, not wanting to really tear things open—after all, peace was supposed to be the main theme of the world!

But this time, Japan had gone way too far—mobilizing an entire brigade against a single young Huaxia martial artist? That's just bullying, plain and simple. Enough is enough!

"Also, have the Huaxia Dragon Group send their core members to Kyoto ASAP—make sure they help that kid out." The short commander kept giving orders.

"No worries, sir—the Huaxia Dragon Group already sent their guys out, and they've got people stationed in Kyoto!" a senior officer replied.

"Good, good!" The short commander nodded, sighing to himself—this was all he could do to help. Whether that kid lived or died now, it was all up to fate.

"Commander, looks like that kid can't hold out much longer—all the missiles have blocked off his escape route!" At that moment, a recon officer shouted urgently.

Instantly, the short commander rushed over to take a look.

"Switch to full screen, now!" a deputy general barked.

Satellite feeds zoomed in on central Kyoto, magnified tenfold—now the heart-stopping scene was crystal clear: Ryan Ling was totally blocked in, all the missiles sweeping toward him at once.

"Has Kenneth Li's team broken through yet? Fire long-range missiles for interception! No matter what, we have to save him—" The short commander hadn't even finished when, right then, every missile targeting Ryan Ling exploded at once. The shockwave rocked a ten-li radius, flipping cars and leaving not a soul standing!

"Is it over?" The short commander slumped into his seat, shaking his head with a sigh. He'd risked everything to launch this war against Japan, all to save Ryan Ling!

But even after mobilizing so many troops and taking the heat for starting a war, he still couldn't save Ryan Ling's life. The despair hit him hard.

Just then, a sharp-eyed recon officer suddenly yelled, "Wait—he's not dead! He's actually still alive! His defense is insane—even missiles can't break through!"

"What?" The short commander shot to his feet, bolting to the command platform in three quick strides. Several senior generals tried to hold him back, but he shook them off.

"Holy crap, this kid is a real prodigy! No matter what, I have to save him. And someone like this shouldn't just stay in the Jinling Military Region—he belongs in the Central Military Commission! I want to train him up right—he's the future of the Republic!" Seeing Ryan Ling unharmed, the short commander shouted with excitement.

The other senior generals around him broke into smiles too—clearly, no one saw this coming!

You have to realize: the firepower of those eight Scud-class missiles is like eight God-Realm experts attacking at once. That means Ryan Ling's strength can already withstand a joint strike from eight God-Realm powerhouses. The birth of someone like him is a blessing for Huaxia!

The wilder the fight, the stronger he gets!

Right now, Ryan Ling felt it most deeply—his Transcending Core realm had just been pushed even higher by the missiles' raw destructive force. Sure, the missile power was wild, but Ryan's defense wasn't just monstrous; he also had the top-tier Primeval Heavenwood shielding him. Those invisible roots alone were basically unbreakable!

This trip to Japan has been an absolute goldmine—after these battles, all his advantages are finally showing!

"Ryan, time to hit back! I'm telling you, when this fight's over, you'll be deified in one war!" Ghost Elder cheered inside him, hyped by Ryan's insane growth lately.

"Kill, kill, kill!" Ryan didn't hesitate—countless saber-lights surged behind him, and the Kanglong Mace in his hand radiated killing intent. Instantly, several attack helicopters in the air froze in place.

"Pull back, now!" the attack helicopter squadron captain shouted.

But before he could finish, Ryan's ghostly face appeared outside his cockpit like a demon from hell...
