Best of the Best

Quentin Kwan flashed them a smile. "This is a great place! You girls are going to love it."

"Are you with Zhao You'an?" Joanna Zuo demanded. "Where is he? Tell him to come out!"

"Who the hell is Zhao You'an?" One of the men behind Quentin snickered lewdly. "Boss Kwan, these girls are top shelf tonight. I'm tempted myself! How about... you let me have this one?"

He was pointing at Grace.

"Get lost!" Quentin Kwan's gaze locked on Grace, his eyes burning with a wild, predatory light. "This one—born to seduce, skin like creamy jade, the kind that drives men mad. She's the best of the best, and she's mine!"

Grace cursed furiously in her heart: Fuck you! Fuck your ancestors for eighteen generations, you bastard!

"Unbelievable!" Joanna Zuo snapped. "Do you even know who we are? How dare you tie us up and bring us here!"

"Once you're here, even if you were a princess, you're just a 'furnace girl'—a tool for others to drain your spiritual power for their own cultivation!" the man behind Quentin said smugly.

"Alchemist's Cauldron..." Joanna Zuo's face changed dramatically. "You don't mean..."

The three of them were still supporting each other.

Grace squeezed Joanna and Shannon’s hands, slipping each of them two pills at the same time.

One pill was the antidote to the Soul Lock Pill.

The other was the antidote to the Poison Gas Bomb.

Luckily, Shannon and Joanna were much sharper than Chu Rongyin—they quietly accepted the pills without a fuss.

"Someone, get them 'rooms'!" Quentin Kwan ordered.

Immediately, three men came over and started escorting the three women forward.

Grace took note of her surroundings. It was cold and damp, with no windows anywhere—it definitely felt underground.

Could it be... the Incense Pavilion was actually underground?

They passed through a lavish hall, and ahead things grew lively—musicians tuning their instruments, dancers practicing sultry moves, servants bustling about, laughter and chatter filling the air. It was a whirlwind of color and excitement.

Grace guessed they’d been abducted last night and it was now daytime. That’s why there were no guests yet—just the staff of the Incense Pavilion.

As they reached the edge of the stage, Grace suddenly called out, "Wait!"

"What is it?" Quentin Kwan asked, half-smiling.

"I know exactly where we are now," Grace said. "This is the Incense Pavilion, right?"

Quentin Kwan gave a small smile. "Not bad—you do know a thing or two. That's right! This is the Incense Pavilion!"

Grace took a deep breath and said to Quentin, "Boss Kwan, I’ve never heard of any woman leaving the Incense Pavilion alive. Smart people know when to adapt, so I’m not planning to ask for trouble."

"Oh?" Quentin Kwan looked at her with interest. "So what do you plan to do?"

"I’d like to dance for you, Master Kwan. Would you be interested?"

"Dance for me?" Quentin Kwan raised an eyebrow. "And what do you hope to gain from that?"

Grace looked at him and smiled sweetly. "Of course, I want your protection—so I can live a long, long time!"

Quentin Kwan chuckled, then suddenly pinched Grace’s cheek. "I love a woman who knows how to play the game! Go on, change into something gorgeous and dance for me!"

Any woman who ended up here—no matter how fierce or powerful she was before—would have all her strength and defenses stripped away.

Everything they owned—clothes, medicine, weapons—had been confiscated.

Their spiritual power was sealed by the Soul Lock Pill.

They had no way to fight back anymore.

Quentin Kwan felt there was nothing to worry about.

Grace smiled as she walked away.

Joanna and Shannon exchanged a glance, staying put for now.

When Grace reappeared, she was dressed in a stunning red dance costume.

The Incense Pavilion truly lived up to its reputation as the top spot for pleasure and luxury—the costumes were dazzling, seductive, and absolutely breathtaking.
