When Evan said he wanted Luna to become his woman, Luna was honestly delighted. If she really could regain her physical body, she’d only ever choose him—after all, their feelings for each other over all these years were clear as day. If she’d recovered her body earlier, maybe she’d already be his woman by now.
“Evan, you spent a ton of time on this breakthrough. It’s mainly because you advanced to the Seventh Layer of the Starforge Body. It took you two whole months just to regrow your body! There’s not much time left, so if you want to beat that Nether girl, you’ll have to work hard.” Luna said.
“Two months? That’s way too fast! I thought it was just a few days. Looks like I need to get moving—if I lose to Faye Knox, I’ll totally lose face!” Evan blurted out, shocked.
“You still need to stabilize your new strength first. Rushing won’t help—just let things flow naturally. When the time comes, I’ll help you. Now that you’ve broken through to the Saint Martial Realm, I’ve leveled up too and gained a ton of benefits. The Land of the Undead is huge, but I can use my god-sense to scan a third of it. You get what I’m saying?” Luna said, a hint of pride in her voice.
“Got it, got it! I’d have to be an idiot not to. Now, as soon as any Ghost Clan folks show up, I’ll know exactly where they are. With my speed, I’ll be there in a flash, and those wooden tokens—just say the word, I’ll grab a pile!” Evan grinned.
“Smart boy. Get started already!” Luna shot back, ignoring Evan after that.
Evan calmed his excitement, sat down, and was just about to circulate his Chaos Dragon Force to stabilize his realm when suddenly, the voice of the Wind-Binding Pearl’s artifact spirit echoed in his mind.
“Big brother, let me out! I’ve been awake for ages, but I didn’t want to bother you while you were cultivating. I missed you so much!”
Evan’s face lit up with joy. He quickly took out the Wind-Binding Pearl and held it in his hand. Just then, a flash of cyan light burst from the pearl, and it vanished from his palm.
But not far in front of Evan, a little girl of about seven or eight was staring at him, giggling. Evan was left speechless—because the Wind-Binding Pearl’s artifact spirit didn’t have a single stitch on, completely naked, her girlish features on full display.
But since she was just a little girl, there was no way Evan would think anything inappropriate—even if he was shameless, he wasn’t that shameless! Still, with the Wind-Binding Pearl being so ancient, it was just plain weird having an artifact spirit who looked like a kid.
Jade Chu suddenly dashed over and threw herself into Evan’s arms, catching him totally off guard. He didn’t know whether to hug her or not, so he stammered, “Uh... good little sister, maybe you should put on some clothes first? Look, even that big sister over there is laughing at you.”
Jade Chu glanced at Luna and said, “I’m not scared of her! We’re both girls, so what’s there to be shy about, right?”
A black line seemed to crawl up Evan’s forehead—what a little weirdo! She was just a kid, already calling herself a woman? Girls and women are totally different!
“Uh, maybe just put on some clothes first, okay? Or... do you not have any?” Evan said helplessly.
“Who said I don’t have clothes? My clothes are super pretty! Just watch!” Jade Chu said proudly.
Jade Chu straightened up out of Evan’s arms, and with a flash of cyan light, a beautiful cyan dress appeared on her body. She looked adorable—her little melon-seed face and fair skin made her a real beauty in the making.
Evan smiled and said, “Little sister, you don’t have a name yet, right? How about I give you one, so more people can get to know you?”
“Yes! I’ve wanted a name for ages. But, big brother, you have to make sure it sounds pretty!” Jade Chu said, beaming.
Evan was surprised to realize Jade Chu’s body was actually solid—he could really feel her, totally different from Luna. He wanted to ask Luna why, but for now, he held back.
After thinking for a moment, Evan said, “How about you take my surname Chu? Since you were born from the Wind-Binding Pearl, how about I call you Chu Feng?”
Luna laughed from afar, “Chu Feng sounds like a guy’s name! This artifact spirit is a girl, you should pick a girl’s name. How about Chu Qing? See how pretty she looks in cyan.”
“Chu Qing? I love that name!” Jade Chu cheered, practically dancing. Evan smiled, “Qing’er, big brother needs to stabilize his strength right now. Once I’m done, I’ll take you to lots of fun places!”
“Qing’er will listen to big brother. I’ll chat with big sister now.” Jade Chu said, then walked over to Luna.
Evan was floored when he saw Jade Chu actually grab Luna’s hand. He was more shocked than when he faced Heavenly Tribulation lightning!
He clearly remembered Luna was just a soul-body, impossible to touch—yet Jade Chu could grab her hand like it was nothing. Evan just couldn’t believe it.
Maybe Luna noticed the confusion on Evan’s face, so she smiled and said, “Got questions? Wait until you finish consolidating your realm! Now that you’ve got Chu Qing on your side, you’re even stronger.”
Evan knew Jade Chu’s god-sense was just as strong as Luna’s, so he forced himself to calm down and started circulating Chaos Dragon Force through all his meridians.
After Evan fully stabilized his strength, two days had passed. Now, his Chaos Dragon Force was at least ten times stronger than before—if he unleashed Heaven-Cleave ten times in a row, he wouldn’t run dry! Most importantly, he could finally use Star-Slash.
Star-Slash was even more powerful than Heaven-Cleave, and with his Starforge Body, Seventh Layer’s insane defenses, only a handful in the Ghost Clan could hurt him—maybe only a Ghost King could really threaten him now.
Evan stood up and walked over to Luna and Jade Chu, grinning. “So this is the Saint Martial Realm, huh? It’s nothing like the Heaven Martial Realm. Now I finally get how huge the gap between realms really is.”
“Good, as long as you understand. If you want to break through further, you’ll need Faye Knox’s help—and you’ll have to keep absorbing stellar power. The Netherworld is full of experts, so don’t get cocky.” Luna warned.
“Got it. By the way, why can Qing’er touch you? What’s up with that?” Evan finally couldn’t hold back his curiosity.
Luna laughed, “Want to know the answer? Try touching me yourself!”
