Ian Song frowned, turned to look at the young man and asked, "Who are you?"
The guy cursed angrily again, "Who am I? I'm her man! Damn it, trying to take advantage of my woman—I'll kill you!"
As he spoke, the guy swung his fist at Ian's cheek.
Ian reached out and grabbed his wrist, saying in a deep voice, "Don't get the wrong idea. I only caught Mira because she was about to fall."
"Screw your explanation! Go to hell!"
The young man ignored Ian's explanation completely and kicked at him again.
Faced with this unreasonable guy—even if he really was Mira Su's boyfriend—Ian was getting annoyed. He decided to teach him a lesson, so he pushed forward with a bit of force, making the guy stagger back a few steps and land on his butt.
Ian steadied Mira Su, holding her upright. But he noticed something was off about her expression—her cheeks were flushed, her eyes hazy with desire, and her lips parted slightly. She looked incredibly seductive.
"Mira, how are you feeling? Is something wrong?"
Right now, Mira felt like her whole body was burning up, and she had the urge to tear off all her clothes. Especially when she touched Ian's strong, masculine body, her desire just kept growing stronger.
"Ian... please... please get me out of here!"
Seeing Mira like this, Ian was almost certain something was wrong. He reached out to touch her forehead and found it was burning hot.
Without hesitating, he decided to take Mira Su straight to the hospital.
But just then, the young man charged over again, blocking Ian with both arms and snarled, "Get lost, kid! Give me back my woman!"
If this guy really was Mira Su's boyfriend, Ian felt a bit awkward. Suddenly, he noticed a bump on the guy's forehead—probably from being hit with something hard. Thinking back to how Mira ran out of the room in a panic, Ian guessed the guy must've tried something bad, and Mira fought back and escaped.
Honestly, Ian's guess was pretty close to the truth.
The young man's name was Vincent Shen, a rich second-generation playboy.
A while back, Mira Su's father, Su Meng, partnered with someone to invest in a project. But halfway through, his partner suddenly pulled out, forcing the project to a halt.
Su Meng had poured all his company's funds into the project and even borrowed a lot from the bank. If the project couldn't restart, his company would go bankrupt and rack up massive debts.
After running around with no results and facing bank debt collectors, Su Meng's heart condition flared up and he was hospitalized.
That was why Mira Su had rushed back to Flame City to temporarily take over her father's company.
Her father's company was his lifeblood—she couldn't let it go under. So after taking over, Mira scrambled to raise money, but she had no experience and couldn't find any funding no matter how hard she tried.
Right then, Vincent Shen showed up and offered to invest in the project.
But Vincent Shen had his own plans. Before investing, he demanded that Mira become his mistress.
Mira didn't even hesitate—she refused his outrageous demand.
Naturally, the investment fell through.
Because of all this, Mira didn't have time to run her café anymore. She squeezed in a trip back to Riverstone City to close and transfer it.
After returning to Flame City, Mira kept searching for investors, but it was hopeless—no one dared get involved. Later, she learned her father's former partner was a powerful young heir. He'd only teamed up with Su Meng to set a trap, waiting for the company to go bankrupt so he could buy it up cheap at auction.
That young heir had a lot of influence, so nobody wanted to cross him. No one dared invest in Su Meng's company.
Mira didn't want to give up, but there was nothing she could do—she could only wait for her father's company to go bankrupt.
She'd already lost hope, but out of the blue, Vincent Shen called today and said he wanted to talk about investing again.
What she didn't expect was that the investment was just a front—Vincent Shen's real target was her.
Luckily, Mira was already on guard. After a couple drinks, she noticed something strange happening to her body and instantly realized Vincent Shen must've drugged her. She decided to leave right away.
When Vincent realized he'd been found out, he dropped the act and tried to force himself on her. In the struggle, Mira smashed a wine bottle against his forehead and escaped the private room—only to run into Ian Song outside.
Because he was suspicious, Ian asked Mira, "Mira, is this guy your boyfriend?"
"He... he's not! That bastard drugged me... Please get me out of here!" Mira stammered, and as she spoke, her arms wrapped uncontrollably around Ian's neck.
When Ian heard that the guy had drugged Mira, his face turned cold, his eyes icy. Without warning, he kicked out at Vincent Shen.
Bang!
Vincent Shen flew backward from the blow.
With Vincent dealt with, Ian bent down, picked up Mira, and said gently, "Mira, hang in there. I'll take you to the hospital right now."
"Take me to a hotel, not the hospital."
As soon as she said it, Mira regretted it. She didn't know why she'd become so bold, saying something so shameless, but the urge inside her was uncontrollable—she just wanted a man.
"Uh!" Ian was stunned. He was still a virgin, but he knew what Mira's words meant...
Still, he had to be sure: "Mira, you really don't want to go to the hospital? You want to go to a hotel?"
"Mm!" Driven by impulse, Mira hummed and nodded, then buried her face in Ian's chest.
With Mira's clear answer, Ian suddenly felt heat surge through him. He carried her out of the restaurant, and luckily, there was a five-star hotel right next door.
After checking in at the front desk, Ian carried the dazed, wandering-hands Mira into the elevator. He ignored the strange look from the pretty receptionist.
"So hot! I want to take my clothes off!"
As soon as they entered the elevator, Mira got restless and started tearing at her clothes.
Luckily, no one else was in the elevator, and Ian quickly stopped her.
Beep!
The room door opened. Ian carried Mira inside, then shut the door with a bang.
