"Mm."
Evan Lin nodded and glanced at him.
Grandmaster You quickly put on a fawning smile.
"Wearing black robes all day just kills the mood. Go change into something brighter."
Evan Lin waved his hand, leaving that remark behind.
Grandmaster You was momentarily stunned.
Over there, You Han stood by, looking furious but not daring to say a word.
Now that he’d truly witnessed Evan Lin’s power, he had no courage left to mock or look down on him. Especially since even his master had become so humble.
When Evan Lin walked over, You Han quickly moved aside, terrified Evan might hold a grudge against him.
Evan Lin didn’t even spare him a glance. Just then, Luo Yaoyi got up, and seeing Evan awake, she rushed over with a face full of delight.
"Where's Queenie Tong?"
Evan Lin looked over but didn't see Queenie anywhere.
"She went to get breakfast."
Luo Yaoyi had just finished speaking when the door swung open.
Queenie Tong pushed in a food cart loaded with all kinds of dishes.
"Ah, you're awake! Perfect timing—I just finished making breakfast. You're in for a treat."
Queenie grinned at Evan Lin, her face full of smiles.
She hadn’t slept a wink all night, so after getting up, she went to the hotel kitchen and made breakfast herself.
She couldn’t compare to Lynn Chen and Evan Lin’s years of history, and she couldn’t match Lily Zhao’s ethereal beauty and presence.
But at least she could make Evan a hearty breakfast.
That’s something none of the others got to do.
Thinking about it, Queenie couldn’t help but feel cheerful.
At the table, Evan Lin, Queenie Tong, and Luo Yaoyi sat eating together.
Grandmaster You dragged You Han out with him.
"Try this too—my fried eggs, and some milk."
Queenie helped pile food onto Evan’s plate, looking at him with eager anticipation.
He took a bite.
"How is it?"
Queenie asked.
"Not bad."
Evan Lin nodded; it really did taste good.
"Queenie’s fried eggs at home are legendary—she’s always saying she wants to make you the perfect one."
Luo Yaoyi ate as she spoke, totally unfiltered.
Queenie wasn’t embarrassed at all; she just sat there smiling, relaxed and open, not shy in the least.
"By the way... what about the person from last night?"
Queenie glanced around. "Doesn’t she need to eat something?"
She meant Lily Zhao.
"She’s resting."
Evan Lin replied simply, not offering much explanation.
Queenie nodded. "My sister’s out on business—she probably won’t be back for a few days."
"So, what are your plans next?"
Queenie looked at Evan Lin. "If you’re heading back inland, I’ll book the tickets."
She didn’t really mean it, and as she spoke, she poked at her fried egg with her fork.
Once they returned, Queenie and Evan Lin would hardly get to meet anymore.
Compared to that, Queenie much preferred things as they were now—living under the same roof.
Even if nothing ever happened, just waking up and seeing Evan Lin every morning brought her a tiny joy nothing else could replace.
Now that Serena was gone, Queenie, as her manager, didn’t even have to work anymore.
"Didn’t you want to go out and have some fun?"
Evan Lin took a sip of milk and thought for a moment. "I’m free right now."
"Later, I need to stop by Coldspire Peak. After that, let’s go shopping, and then hit Hong Kong Disneyland."
