"Whoosh!"
A swirl of golden flames appeared out of nowhere, wrapping around the disgusting Insect Queen. In just a few seconds, the Queen was burned to ashes, not even a scrap left behind.
"Young Master, should we keep moving forward?"
Flora Thrall asked, a hint of worry in her voice. In her opinion, her Young Master was undeniably strong, but not strong enough to take on the entire Insect Race by himself.
"Of course we keep going. Haven't I already told you? I'm here to wipe out the Insect Race." Ian Song replied with absolute certainty.
"Young Master, you're not joking?"
Flora Thrall stared at Ian Song in shock. She'd heard him talk about exterminating the Insect Race before, but she'd never believed it—after all, even gods couldn't do something so outrageous.
"If I wasn't here to wipe out the Insect Race, why would I bother wasting my time in this hellhole?" Ian Song said, exasperated. "Just hurry up and lead the way—the sooner we finish off the bugs, the sooner we get out of here!"
"But...!"
Flora still wanted to say something, but Ian cut her off: "You don't need to worry about anything else—just lead the way!"
"Yes!"
Flora could only answer helplessly, forcing herself to lead Ian forward.
This time, the two of them flew forward for several hundred li before a massive Insect Horde appeared ahead, numbering at least ten billion.
Ian activated his Clairvoyant Vision, scanning rapidly. He instantly locked onto the locations of eleven Insect Queens hidden within the spatial dimension.
"Die!"
The Azure Flood-Dragon Sword appeared in Ian's hand, and he slashed out with it.
Eleven streaks of sword-qi shot out in all directions, piercing the surrounding void like lightning. The bodies of the eleven Insect Queens hidden in the spatial layer exploded instantly.
With the death of the eleven Insect Queens, the once orderly Insect Horde immediately descended into chaos. Ian didn't bother exterminating the rest, since most of them would only live for a few months anyway. As long as the Queens were dead, the horde would eventually die off on its own.
They continued forward.
This time, after advancing just over a hundred li, they ran into another wave of Insect Horde—this one even larger, numbering over twenty billion. It was commanded by twenty Insect Queens, and hidden among the swarm were five Insectoids as strong as Demigods and more than a hundred Sun-Soul-level Insectoids.
"Kill!"
Ian didn’t hold back. He swung the Azure Flood-Dragon Sword, instantly slaughtering all twenty Insect Queens and the hundred-plus Insectoids.
Over the next two hours, Ian and Flora encountered more than ten waves of the Insect Horde.
But none of these swarms could slow Ian down. Instead, he killed to his heart’s content—by the end, he’d taken out over a thousand Insect Queens and more than five thousand Insectoids.
More than ten of those Insectoids were Saint Sea Realm experts.
The Insect Race has never relied on quality—they win by sheer numbers, not by having many top-tier fighters.
"Young Master, over there!" Flora called out, pointing in a certain direction.
Flora pointed toward a spot in the distance.
By now, the sky had grown so dark it felt like night even in broad daylight. The air was thick with poison—so much that even a Saint Sea Realm cultivator wouldn’t last long here.
Soon, another day passed.
During this period, Ian and Flora didn’t encounter any more Insect Hordes. It seemed the bugs realized that sending out more armies was useless, so they started pulling their forces back.
Along the way, Ian discovered several Insect Nests, but every one of them was empty.
"Let’s rest for a bit!" Ian said, tossing out a formation disk to isolate a two-hundred-meter-wide safe zone and purge all the poison inside.
Ian threw out a formation disk, creating a safe pocket and expelling all the poisonous air.
"Take it!" Ian said, handing Flora a Frost-Soul Pill.
Ian handed Flora a Frost-Soul Pill.
"Thank you, Young Master!" Flora said, her eyes lighting up with joy as she accepted the Frost-Soul Pill and sat down to meditate.
Flora's eyes brightened with happiness. She took the Frost-Soul Pill and immediately sat down to meditate.
After about fifteen minutes, Flora finished meditating, looking much better. She’d driven out more poison from her soul, and her spirit had grown stronger.
If she could take a few more Frost-Soul Pills, she was confident she could expel all the toxins from her soul.
After a short rest, Ian packed up the array disk and the two continued on their way.
Three days passed without them realizing it. They saw more and more Insect Nests, all empty—clearly, the bugs were preparing something big and waiting for Ian’s arrival.
Ian wasn’t afraid at all—in fact, he was delighted. If the Insect Race spread out, they’d be harder to wipe out, but if they all gathered in one place, he’d have a chance to finish them off in one go.
Finally.
After another two days of travel, Ian’s spiritual sense swept ahead and detected endless stretches of Insect Nests—each one packed with bugs, at least five hundred billion in total.
Countless Insect Queens lurked in the surrounding void, beyond what Ian’s Clairvoyant Vision could fully detect. And now, Demigod-level Insectoids appeared among the horde.
"Buzz buzz buzz!"
A deep, rumbling noise erupted as countless flying bugs swarmed in from all directions, blotting out the sky. At a rough estimate, there were at least a trillion of them.
Ian also noticed that the Insect Queens were joining their spiritual power to seal off the surrounding void—clearly trying to keep him from escaping.
"Looks like they’re planning to bury me under sheer numbers!" Ian remarked.
"They're really planning to bury me with sheer numbers!" Ian muttered to himself. As he spoke, he glanced at Flora and noticed her face had gone pale.
In a situation like this, even dozens of Demigods would probably die here.
"Young Master, what should we do?" Flora asked, her voice trembling. Even though she wasn’t afraid of death, being surrounded by so many bugs still made her feel real fear.
Ian just grinned. "Relax. These bugs are nothing but trash—they can’t hurt me." As he spoke, he tossed out more than a hundred formation disks. They vanished into the void, and a massive grand array appeared, covering a hundred-li radius.
With a flick of his wrist, Ian sent five array flags—the Five-Flag Array Set—into the surrounding void.
The Five-Flag Array Set quickly formed a powerful formation, isolating the surrounding void and blocking the bugs.
Boom!
As the flags settled, the array’s power surged dozens of times over.
The bugs’ combined spiritual power tried to break the formation, but it was no use.
"Their mental power is strong, but not strong enough," Ian commented.
Next, Ian threw out dozens of pieces of Illusory God-Iron from the fantasy world, further strengthening the array. The formation rapidly purified the air within the hundred-li radius, and within a few breaths, nearly all the poison had vanished.
"Come out!" Ian called.
With a wave of his hand, Ian opened a massive gate of time and space, and swarms of Demon-Race cultivators flew out from within.
The Demon Race loves devouring blood and flesh—the more they consume, the faster they grow. With so many bugs present, Ian released all two million Demon-Race cultivators from the Divine Temple.
"What is this?" Flora exclaimed in shock.
Seeing the massive number of Demon-Race cultivators emerge from the time-space gate, Flora couldn’t help but gape. She realized that many among them were no weaker than herself.
