"What does this person you mentioned have to do with me?"

Evan Lin frowned.

"Since I brought it up, of course it has something to do with you."

Grandmaster Phoenix Bai looked at Evan Lin: "The Bai clan was saved and wants to repay that debt."

"The woman thought for a moment, then made a few agreements with the Bai clan at that time."

"The Bai clan line, generation after generation, would be all women, forbidden to marry, until the person they were waiting for appeared."

"Once the agreement was made, it could not be broken or stopped."

"Only when the one they were waiting for arrived, guided that person to open the door, would the agreement finally end."

"According to her, behind the door lies what she left for that person."

At this point, Grandmaster Phoenix Bai paused slightly, looked at Evan Lin: "You are the person she has been waiting for."

"Me?"

Evan Lin raised his eyebrows slightly.

These words left Evan Lin quite puzzled.

Although that woman seemed somewhat connected to him, Evan Lin found it hard to believe that someone had tried to wait for him hundreds of years ago—that was just too bizarre.

Besides, Evan Lin only ended up on the Immortal Martial Continent after Buck Niu knocked him out in his senior year, then became the Nine Mysteries Immortal Lord and got a second life.

Wasn't the starting point for everything Buck Niu's punch?

Could it be that someone knew, over a century ago, that Evan Lin—a totally ordinary teenager—would somehow end up on the Immortal Martial Continent, earn the name Nine Mysteries Immortal Lord, and return to this world?

So that person spent years laying out a plan just to wait for the Nine Mysteries Immortal Lord's return?

Evan Lin stood there, looking at Grandmaster Phoenix Bai.

"That's right. It's you."

Grandmaster Phoenix Bai nodded and looked at Lucy Bai: "And she is a descendant of that Bai clan line."

"Her mother, before dying years ago, left her and her younger sister behind—two children in total."

"And before her mother passed away, the Bai clan's door was entrusted to me for safekeeping."

At this point, Lucy Bai stepped forward.

Evan Lin looked at her, and soon saw a faintly glowing mark—half a Woman Statue—on Lucy Bai's forehead.

That mark radiated layers of pale red light, and as soon as it appeared, Evan Lin's heart skipped a beat.

It was different from the Woman Statues he'd seen before.

The Woman Statue mark on Lucy Bai's forehead wasn't a physical object—just a pattern, as if branded into her very life.

The moment the Woman Statue mark appeared, everything around seemed to fall silent.

"This is the fate my Bai clan line has carried for generations."

Lucy Bai spoke slowly: "We're repaying that woman's kindness, so we've been waiting for you."

"Now that you've come, let the Bai clan finally settle our debt to that woman."

Lucy Bai continued: "Once we've repaid her kindness, the Bai clan can finally be free."

Lucy Bai's tone was unusually calm.

Her gaze toward Evan Lin carried a strange, complex emotion.

"The door is behind me, placed inside this bronze coffin."

Grandmaster Phoenix Bai stepped aside, leaving a small space, and looked at Evan Lin: "Please step inside."

This Grandmaster Phoenix Bai has always been mysterious, and just now, the moment I entered the Great Bronze Sarcophagus, I was completely suppressed.

Damien Graves stood by Evan Lin, still a bit shaken, and spoke in a low voice: "I have no idea what kind of technique she used, but she blasted me out in an instant."

"If you're going in, you'd better be extremely careful. It's not simple inside."
