Blood and Tears Part 1

"Are you okay? Are you alright?" Vivian Ouyang stared in shock at the red sedan, its hood bent upwards and the airbags already deployed.

Rachel Lan lay sprawled across the airbag, while bystanders gasped and hurriedly pulled out their phones.

Then, Rachel Lan’s hand twitched slightly. She raised her head, blood streaming from her nose, and her other hand was cut by shards of glass.

Stumbling out of the car, Rachel Lan clutched her forehead.

"Crazy woman, what the hell are you trying to do?"

The terrified bystander, pale-faced, stood up and cursed. Rachel Lan said nothing, got up, and brushed the glass shards off her clothes, while Vivian Ouyang glared fiercely at the bystander.

Suddenly, Rachel Lan grabbed Vivian Ouyang’s arm and whispered.

"That ghost looking for a substitute—it’s gone!"

"What are you doing?"

"Hurry up and run..." Rachel Lan said, pausing.

"If we don’t run, the police will be here soon."

Vivian Ouyang yelped as Rachel Lan pulled her into the crowd.

I smiled, surprised at how much fiercer Rachel Lan used to be. She was quicker to act than to speak. Thinking about it now, she always gives a warning first—if she acted like she just did, people would definitely think she was crazy.

Things still got exposed in the end. Fortunately, Vivian Ouyang’s family was wealthy and well-connected; her father managed to cover up the incident.

"Rachel Lan, do you know? The car repair costs over two hundred thousand. You have to pay up."

Vivian Ouyang stood confidently at the door of Rachel Lan’s house, glancing around at the low, old building. Inside, it was spotlessly clean.

"Come in and have some water."

Vivian Ouyang swaggered in, pouting.

"Cut the crap. Pay up."

"See for yourself." Rachel Lan smiled and pointed at her home.
