Sylvia Blue Versus Tan Tian Part 4

12/15/2025

With a thunderous roar, a streak of brilliant white lightning crashed down from the sky, its range enormous, like a massive pillar. Sylvia Blue crouched, raising her sword to slash upward.

With a swish, the lightning split in two and passed by Sylvia, while a massive arc of sword energy shot toward the heavens, quickly sinking into the strange sky above.

Sylvia stood upright, silently gazing at the sky.

“Old man, if you keep hiding like this, we can’t have a real fight.”

Sylvia complained in frustration. Thunder rumbled overhead, and streaks of bright lightning rained down as she deftly darted through the dense barrage.

“If you can’t break through this storm, you’ll never defeat me.”

“Interesting.”

Sylvia began weaving quickly through the falling lightning, still searching for Tantan. Suddenly, magma erupted from the ground with a roar, forcing her to halt. The scorching flow surged past her, and she immediately swung her sword several times, slicing the magma into chunks.

A violet bolt of lightning crashed down with a deafening boom. Sylvia dodged, but the sizzling energy grazed her, leaving one arm charred black.

“Just a minor scratch...”

Sylvia was about to say something, but noticed the scorch marks on her arm hadn't faded, the wounds hadn't healed. She gritted her teeth.

"Curse power, damn bastard..."

"What the hell is going on?"

I turned around at once and looked at Death Curse. His gaze had grown razor-sharp.

"Curse power is an exceptionally unique force. You've seen it countless times, Qingyuan. The reason I didn't plan to fight the Immortality Society before is because their bodies have already undergone special treatments against curse power. My curse power can't defeat them. In fact, only the Immortality Society has this ability. Or rather, they all seem naturally resistant to curses, as if every one of them was born immune. So curse power is useless against them."

I swallowed hard. Yin Choujian crouched in midair, chuckling coldly.

"It's not just curse power. Tan Tian is truly formidable. In just a few exchanges, he's already read that little girl's moves and fighting style. Her approach is far too straightforward—reminds me of you, brother."

I grunted, watching Sylvia. It was like seeing my own shadow—and Lan Ruoxi's. Our fighting was always head-on, lacking in technique. Now, Sylvia was growing anxious.

"Don't rush, Sylvia. Your strength is your advantage."

I spoke quietly. Yin Choujian turned to me, looking surprised.

"Looks like you understand now, brother—your strength."

I replied with a grunt.

"No matter what, I can't fight like you do. All I can do is swing my sword, again and again, until I defeat the enemy."

Yin Choujian smiled knowingly and nodded.

"That's how it should be, brother. When it comes to battle, don't overthink it. Just swing your weapon, keep honing your blade, your body, your mind—sharpen them to the limit. Now your heart is finally calm. In this past year, you've grown a lot, brother."

I gasped, looking over. After smashing several bolts of lightning, Sylvia shot upward with a whoosh, sword swinging in an instant. My eyes widened—Deathbane Aura. This time, I truly felt it.

Streams of black Deathbane Aura slashed skyward, leaving gashes in the air. The Deathbane Aura on my own body overflowed, seeming to resonate with Sylvia's.

"Qingyuan, that girl's Deathbane Aura is unbelievably potent. She really is your daughter."

I smiled and shook my head.

With a thunderous crash, the sky split open and a blazing meteor hurtled toward Sylvia. She stared at it, gripped her black sword with both hands, and in a flash charged at the meteor. An explosion of fiery red erupted in the sky as Sylvia, shrouded in black Deathbane Aura, soared closer to the heavens.
