"Return to the Dragon Shrine? You're saying your mother sent us back to the Dragon Shrine?" The Ice Dragon clearly couldn't control its excitement and blurted out.
"That's right. Why else do you think I came all the way here?" Evan Chu grinned, secretly delighted—these two were just so easy to convince.
"Weren't you here for the Iceflame Crystal?" The Fire Dragon immediately chimed in.
The Dragon Shrine was the Dragon Clan's most sacred place—normally, only Golden Dragons and Silver Dragons could enter. Fire Dragons, Red Dragons and the like could at best stand guard on the outskirts.
"I'm killing two birds with one stone. I was originally searching for the Iceflame Crystal, but after a long hunt with no luck, my mother told me there were Iceflame Crystals here—and that two Dragon Clan seniors were sealed inside. She wanted me to break the seal and rescue you both.
Both the Ice Dragon and Fire Dragon were overjoyed. Just as Evan Chu was congratulating himself on his seamless lie, the Ice Dragon suddenly said, "Wait, you're definitely tricking us!" Its face instantly turned icy cold.
"How am I tricking you? I'm telling the truth!" Evan Chu replied confidently.
"The Dragon Shrine isn't a place for dragons of our level. You're obviously lying," Luna said, her tone sharp.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you: the Dragon Shrine is facing a disaster right now. On the ancient Divine Battlefield, the demons have revived again, and five demon generals have come back to life. It's said that if they gather ten Golden Dragon Orbs, they can resurrect the Demon Lord. That's why you're needed." Evan Chu lied smoothly, stacking one story on top of another.
Anyway, the Demon Lord and the demon generals will be revived sooner or later. If these two dragons just barge into the Dragon Shrine, they might be sealed away again, and then nobody will come looking for trouble with me.
Seeing Evan Chu's calm demeanor, the Ice and Fire Dragons started to believe him again. "Is what you said true? Have the demon generals really revived?" asked the Ice Dragon.
"Of course it's true. My grandfather was wounded by the Extinction Heaven Demon Sword, and he still hasn't fully recovered. You've been sealed in here for so long, it's only natural you don't know what's happening outside. I'm a member of the Dragon Clan—when the clan is in trouble, every dragon has a duty." Evan Chu replied solemnly.
"Jenny greets the two old brothers!" Jenny Sima, still confused, greeted them as Evan Chu had instructed.
"Thank you, but I was just doing what I ought to. You two old brothers don't need to worry about it." Evan Chu said with a smile.
"No need to keep calling us 'seniors.' Since you're the son of a Golden Dragon, your status is higher than ours. But with your bloodline sealed, we'll act like the big brothers for now. Just call us 'old brothers.'"
Because your Golden Dragon bloodline is sealed, there's nothing we can do about it. On that front, your old brothers are powerless!" The Ice Dragon finally dropped all his airs.
Evan Chu seized the moment and immediately said, "Evan Chu greets his two old brothers! If you ever need anything, I'll go through fire and water for you—no questions asked!"
"Little brother, your current strength really is too low. Here, I still have some Starstones left from the old days. There aren't many, but they should help you break through a few realms. Hope you awaken your bloodline soon," said the Ice Dragon.
He immediately produced several dozen egg-sized Starstones. Judging by the stellar force they gave off, these were at least high-grade treasures.
Evan Chu was all for good stuff—more was always better. He quickly said, "Thank you, Old Ice! I'll awaken my bloodline soon and come drink with you at the Dragon Shrine!" As he spoke, he glanced at the Fire Dragon.
"Heh, don't look at me. Since you're our little brother now, how could I, Old Fire, be stingy? These are some spirit herbs I got back in the day. The potency may have faded over the years, but they'll still be useful for you." The Fire Dragon said, producing a pile of spirit herbs.
"Lin Feng, these spirit herbs are top-notch! There are ones for foundation-building, for nourishing yin and boosting yang, and even Soul Grass that I need. You really hit the jackpot this time. And those Starstones just now—do you know what they were? Supreme-grade Starstones! Two of them are even Star Crystals. Incredible!" Luna couldn't help but exclaim.
Evan Chu didn't hesitate to sweep all the Fire Dragon's spirit herbs into his storage ring. He couldn't be happier with this haul.
"Don't be so polite, little brother. Setting us free is the greatest help you could give—we can't thank you enough," said the Fire Dragon.
"Don't be so formal, old brothers! We're brothers now, so there's no need for this kind of talk!" Evan Chu laughed.
"Lin Feng, get those two dumb dragons to fetch you some Ice Crystals and Fire Crystals. There's plenty in the Earth-Fire sea and cold pool. They might not do much for you, but they're a huge deal for your Shadow." Luna reminded him.
"Old brothers, I have a small request—it's a bit of an imposition, so I'm not sure if you can help," Evan Chu said, putting on a bashful act, though inside he was thrilled.
"Just say the word! As long as it's something we can do, we won't turn you down!" the Fire Dragon replied eagerly.
"The Fire Crystals and Ice Crystals in the Earth-Fire sea and cold pool would be really useful for me. I hope you two can help me out."
"That's all? Just wait right here—we'll get them for you!" Fire Dragon and Ice Dragon instantly reverted to their true forms. After two mighty dragon roars, they each dove into the Earth-Fire sea and cold pool.

Those two dragon roars scared Jenny Sima and the others outside half to death. The cave entrance was blocked by Fire Dragon's flames, so they couldn't get in or see what was happening. Everyone was worried sick about Evan Chu.
Soon, Ice Dragon and Fire Dragon emerged from the Earth-Fire sea and cold pool, transformed back into human form, and walked up to Evan Chu. Each held several dozen Fire Crystals and Ice Crystals, all about the size of an egg.
"That's pretty much all that's left in there worth taking. After all these years, we've absorbed most of the fire and cold energy. Don't mind if it's a bit few, little brother," said the Fire Dragon.
"Are you kidding? You two are lifesavers! Thank you so much!" Evan Chu said happily, immediately storing the Ice Crystals and Fire Crystals in his storage ring and storage belt.
"I think we should head out. There's an illusion outside—only by breaking it can we truly leave, and then you two can return to the Dragon Shrine."
