Joe Di's heart sank. He knew of the Soul Lotus, but legend had it that such a thing had long since vanished from the world. Although his time exploring the void wasn't long, his experience far surpassed that of ordinary cultivators. Yet he had never heard of the Soul Lotus appearing anywhere.
Charlotte Ling felt deeply saddened seeing Emily Ye in such a state. Yet, with her limited strength, she truly couldn't help. She could only look at Joe Di and say, "Brother Joe, Emily has shown me great kindness, but my abilities are meager. I really can't save her..."
Joe Di nodded. "Don't worry, I will do everything I can to save her."
Quentin Wood sighed. "Back when the Lost Dao Domain was first opened, Soul Lotuses could be found everywhere here."
Joe Di had already made up his mind. If he couldn't achieve Dao Fusion here, he would have to find a way to leave as soon as possible. Whether it was Emily Ye or Xiuqi, he had to find a way to save them both.
"Brother Quentin, Charlotte, let's part ways here and seek our own enlightenment. Three years from now, we'll meet again at this spot. If you can't make it here in three years, you can leave a message." Whether or not he succeeded in Dao Fusion, Joe Di decided to find a place to seclude himself for three years.
Speaking of leaving messages, Joe Di looked at Charlotte Ling and asked, "Charlotte, why haven't you replied to any of the messages I sent you before?"
"Ah..." Charlotte Ling instinctively took out her communication pearl, then awkwardly said, "Sorry, Brother Joe, I put my communication pearl away. I'll put it on my wrist right now."
Joe Di nodded, "Alright, farewell for now. See you in three years."
After speaking, Joe Di turned and swiftly entered the depths of Halfmark Marsh. He didn't question Charlotte Ling about the communication pearl. With her pearl put away, she wouldn't have received any of his messages. Clearly, Charlotte Ling possessed a top-tier world.
Even if it wasn't a Five Elements World, it was still an innate treasure.
......
After everyone had dispersed, Samuel Shang invited Aron Peng and Fa Grant to his sanctuary.
Aron Peng actually suspected that Joe Di knew how to leave the Lost Dao Domain. So after Joe Di left, he couldn't help but voice his thoughts. "City Lord Shang, is it possible that Joe Di knows how to escape the Lost Dao Domain?"
Samuel Shang didn't answer directly but looked at Fa Grant and said, "Brother Fa, what do you think?"
Fa Grant shook his head. "I'm sure Joe Di doesn't know the way out. It's just a feeling. But I think he's far from ordinary—he might really find a way out on his own."
Clearly, once Joe Di found a way out, he would never return to Lost Dao City. Not only did Samuel Shang know this, but most cultivators in the city did too.
Samuel Shang nodded. "Brother Fa is right—Joe Di probably doesn't know the way out. But as Fa just said, Joe Di is extraordinary. He possesses several innate treasures. If I don't go all out, I might not even be his match."
In fact, Samuel Shang knew very well that even if he did go all out, he might still not be a match for Joe Di. He would never admit that, though. As the City Lord of Lost Dao City, he had to maintain the image of a supreme expert.
"So what you're saying is, Joe Di might be able to find his own way out?" Aron Peng asked worriedly.
Samuel Shang chuckled. "How many powerful cultivators entered the Lost Dao Domain back then? And I wasn't even the strongest among them. With so many experts here over the years, the vitality of the Lost Dao Domain has faded, but has anyone found a way out? Joe Di is truly exceptional, but finding an exit from the Lost Dao Domain is unlikely. I believe he'll come to me in the end—he knows that only by seeking me out does he have a chance to escape."
Hearing Samuel Shang say that Joe Di must come to him to have a chance to escape, Aron Peng and Fa Grant both looked at him with excitement.
Samuel Shang said calmly, "Joe Di possesses the Lethe Bridge. I have no idea where he got it from. If you add my Creation Brush and Starshroud Umbrella to the mix, there's a real chance we could break open the Lost Dao Domain from Halfmark Marsh."
"Joe Di has the Lethe Bridge?" Aron Peng and Fa Grant were stunned by Samuel Shang's words. Even Du Bu didn't obtain such a treasure back in the day.
Samuel Shang affirmed, "That's right, he really does have the Lethe Bridge. If not for that, he would already be my prisoner."
"City Lord, tell us—what should we do?" Hearing Samuel Shang say this, Fa Grant and Aron Peng no longer had any other thoughts and fully supported him.
They knew Samuel Shang hadn't called them here just to tell them about Joe Di's Lethe Bridge.
Samuel Shang said, "If Joe Di comes to me, you two will be responsible for contacting the rest of Lost Dao City. Even with the Lethe Bridge and my Creation Brush working together, breaking out of the Lost Dao Domain won't be easy. We may need everyone to join forces. If I end up fighting Joe Di, I hope you can assist me. Joe Di is strong—I don't fear him, but I don't want to get hurt just to kill him."
"Don't worry, City Lord. We'll make sure everything is perfect," Fa Grant and Aron Peng promised almost in unison.
......
Joe Di had already stopped. In this marsh, ravines split the land everywhere, with shattered fragments of magical treasures scattered about. No matter how far his divine sense reached, all he could see was a hazy gray expanse.
Joe Di didn't deliberately search for a spot; all he sought was a chance to comprehend Dao Fusion.
Once the cosmic laws began circulating, Joe Di immediately sensed the faint aura of Genesis in the marsh. Though weak, it carried the resonance of primordial origin.
After just three months, Joe Di stopped trying to comprehend that Dao resonance. He knew that relying on this Genesis origin resonance, he absolutely couldn't achieve Dao Fusion. In fact, he'd sensed this resonance before—it was the Cosmic Membrane Fragment. Even now, he still carried a small piece on him.
Having agreed to meet Charlotte Ling and Quentin Wood in three years, Joe Di decided to spend his time comprehending Samuel Shang's Genesis Script Divine Art.
Joe Di had experienced the Genesis Script Divine Art before, and he was certain Samuel Shang hadn't even grasped ten percent of it. Yet, even that ten percent almost caused him to fail. If someone could truly master this Divine Art, how terrifying would it be?

Of the Genesis Script Divine Art, what Joe Di encountered were the five characters: 'Silence, Void, Nothingness, Yin, Yang.' He wasn't sure if there were more. He suspected this Divine Art couldn't possibly consist of just these five characters.
Even Samuel Shang could never have imagined that after just one demonstration, Joe Di would grasp the essence of his Divine Art. If he knew, he might rather admit defeat than fight Joe Di.
For Joe Di, if he truly wanted to learn Samuel Shang's Divine Art, even without the original technique formula, he would find a way.
Every Divine Art is formed through the transformation of cosmic laws, which then condense into rules. No matter how powerful the Genesis Script Divine Art is, it cannot escape this principle.
Joe Di understood perfectly the law behind the first character, 'Silence,' of the Genesis Script Divine Art. He didn't have the Creation Brush, so he simply used the Tiansuo Blade to carve the character 'Silence' in the void.
As the blade's momentum gathered, the laws instantly swept through the surrounding space.
With the blade's force, the character 'Silence' formed layer upon layer of laws, and the space was filled with an overwhelming aura of solitude, as if the entire universe had suddenly reached its final moment.
Boom! When the blade's force subsided and the 'Silence' glyph was complete, a wild, tearing force erupted. The space where Joe Di stood was blasted open, leaving a massive ravine.
Joe Di sighed. He knew that to truly master this Genesis Script Divine Art, he still needed the Creation Brush. Though his Tiansuo Blade was powerful, it lacked the artistic intent of the Creation Brush and couldn't capture the true essence of the 'Silence' glyph. What he created with the blade was more like an explosive blade technique than a true glyph.
The Creation Brush was in Samuel Shang's hands. How could he possibly get his hands on it?
