Chapter 778: The Cataclysm

Gary spoke solemnly, "The prophecies of our three races are each engraved on separate Prophecy Tablets. Yet, there are overlapping parts in all three prophecies, and the material of the tablets is exactly the same."

Guridan sneered, not bothering to hide his disdain.

"So what if the material's the same? Do you really think the three tablets can be joined together? You think our ancestors never tried that?"

Harris didn't speak, but the same doubt was written all over his face.

Gary allowed himself a faint smile.

Guridan, Harris, you both broke through to Sky Rank recently, right? Do you remember how long it's been since anyone from our three tribes advanced to Sky Rank? No one ever knew why before, but now, you must understand, don't you?

Guridan and Harris both nodded silently. After reaching Sky Rank, they realized it wasn't a matter of lacking talent—it was the fault of the God-Demon Dominion itself.

With the fall of the Tree of Wisdom, the God-Demon Dominion had grown ever more decayed. The Tree's foundation was so strong that the decline was almost imperceptible, but it was enough to keep anyone from advancing to Sky Rank.

Gary smiled faintly. "The God-Demon Dominion has changed a little recently. That's why the three of us seized this once-in-a-lifetime chance to break through to Sky Rank. And I am confident that the prophecies of our three races will change as well!"

Gary tossed his Prophecy Tablet into the air.

Guridan and Harris exchanged a glance and did the same, throwing their Prophecy Tablets upward.

As the three Prophecy Tablets drew close to one another, something began to change...

Radiant beams of light emerged from the Prophecy Tablets, then merged into a single glowing sphere that enveloped all three.

The three Sky Rank champions, relying on their formidable strength, could see the changes unfolding within.

Three seemingly mismatched fragments, with no apparent way to fit together, slowly began to merge...

The Prophecy Tablets fused, forming a single new Unified Prophecy Tablet.

A brand-new Unified Prophecy Tablet, one and a half meters long and nearly a meter wide!

The original prophetic text faded away, replaced by a new prophecy that gradually assembled itself before their eyes.

Witnessing this, the three Sky Rank champions couldn’t help but show their delight, quickly restraining their auras for fear of disturbing the evolving prophecy on the Unified Prophecy Tablet.

The three of them instinctively moved to separate corners, shielding the tablet at its center.

Slowly, a new prophecy appeared on the tablet...

But instead of ancient script, it manifested as a series of images...

Suspended in midair, the tablet first revealed the silhouette of a human—clad in robes, holding a staff in his right hand and an ancient tome in his left, with a colossal shadow looming behind him.

Even as a mere image, that shadow radiated overwhelming pressure.

Seeing this shadow, Gary, Guridan, and Harris couldn't help but cry out in shock.

"Lord Wisdom!"

But even as excitement lit their faces, the three Sky Rank powerhouses forced themselves to stay quiet, watching intently.

The figure stood before a massive gate, reached out, and pushed it open. Instantly, blinding light burst forth—countless rays pouring out from within.

Through that gate, everyone glimpsed a world utterly unlike their own—vast, boundless, and entirely new.

But Leon recognized it instantly—that was the Northend World!

As the light on the vision faded, the angle shifted. Behind the human figure stood countless Dark Elves, Ashen Orcs, and Forgefire Dwarves.

The three great races of the God-Demon Dominion erupted in thunderous cheers, joy so deep it could be felt even through the vision itself.

Then, the human—visible only from behind—turned around and gestured for the cheering masses to quiet down, and the three races obeyed.

And with that, the vision vanished completely.

At that moment, Gary, Guridan, and Harris all turned to look at Leon.

Because in that final instant, when the human turned, his face was identical to Leon's.

Leon was utterly baffled, having no idea what was going on.

Gary was nearly trembling with excitement.

I knew it! I knew I couldn't be wrong—it's Master!

He just hadn't expected the prophecy to actually change—and not only that, but for it to shift from ancient script to images, with even the Master’s face clearly visible!

The Dark Elves could finally break free from this massive prison!

Guridan and Harris had noticed Leon from the moment they entered.

They’d been puzzled—a human here? But Leon’s apparent strength was so low, they hadn’t paid him much attention. Only now did they realize Leon was the one from the prophecy, and it left them both stunned.

"Gary, quick, explain—what's going on?"

"Gary, what is this? You must know something we don't!"

Gary made no attempt to hide anything and began revealing the Dark Elves’ secret.

"You should know the prophecies given to the three races are all different. The tablet our Dark Elves received contained a prophecy that was hidden from the very beginning.

The tribe’s ancestors once said the hidden prophecy foretold that one day, a human would cross the barriers of the God-Demon Dominion, arrive here, and lead us back to our ancestral world—the Northend World!"

As soon as Gary finished, Guridan exploded.

"What! You mean that world behind the gate in the vision was the legendary Northend World? Ha! I knew it! The moment I saw that gate, I knew it had to be the one from our tribe’s prophecy!"

Even Harris, usually the quiet one, was beside himself with excitement—his beard quivered madly as he fumbled for the flask at his waist and drained it in one go, only then managing to calm down a little.

But how could they not be excited?

Guridan’s muscles twitched all over as he stared intently at Leon.

This human could take us to the Northend World—the legendary Northend World!

By the heavens, ancestors above, I might actually fulfill their wish—see the Northend World with my own eyes, set foot on its land. Yes, land—isn’t that what it’s called?

They say there are endless plains there, where our wolf riders could run wild, never reaching the end. And the sky—they say it’s limitless, boundless, perfect for our Ashen Orc wyverns to soar freely.

And they say there’s food enough for everyone. Our tribe would never go hungry again, no one would starve, and even the fiercest Ashen Orcs wouldn’t be forced to grow as thin as those Dark Elves.

Most importantly, we could finally leave this damned God-Demon Dominion—escape this cursed prison!

The Ashen Orc warriors would never again be trapped at the edge of Sky Rank, and I too could keep growing stronger!

Guridan’s eyes were bloodshot, staring at Leon like a starving wolf, making Leon break out in a cold sweat.

Harris, meanwhile, couldn’t stop drooling as he stared at Leon...

The Northend World—said to be truly limitless, filled with endless resources. Every material listed in the clan’s records could be found there, and in abundance.

The three remaining pieces of Starfall Alloy in our tribe, according to the records, would be as common as roadside rocks in the Northend World—so worthless no one would bother to pick them up.

There would be countless rare magical ingredients and forging materials I’ve never even seen. The dwarves in Northend World must be the happiest beings alive—unlimited materials, their forging skills must be unrivaled.

Now that I’ve reached Sky Rank, wouldn’t I be able to master all the advanced forging techniques reserved for Sky Rank smiths once I get to Northend World?

This damned God-Demon Dominion—so barren you can’t find a single piece of Starfall Alloy, and it’s stunted my progress. My craft is stifled here—this is doomsday, pure disaster.

No, I have to escape this prison—I have to reach the Northend World. I can’t let my people suffer the disaster of being forever stuck below Sky Rank, or trapped by endless material shortages.

No matter the cost, I’ll lead my people out of here—to the Northend World!
