Bitten by the Violet Minksprite
Grace and a few other female Spiritual Alchemists were ushered back inside, each carrying a tray of fruit.
Everyone got their own plate of fruit.
As soon as Grace walked in, she felt an unfriendly gaze.
She caught a glare from the direction of the Eastern Luo Empire's table.
Bianca Whiteshire and Shannon were both present.
Grace kept her gaze steady and handed out the fruit one by one.
Once she finished, she turned around to leave.
"Grace!" Bianca Whiteshire called out to her.
Grace stopped and asked, "Princess, do you need something?"
"What do you mean by this?"
"I'm not sure what you mean, Princess?"
"Look." She picked up a fruit, showing a bite mark. "Are you giving me someone else's leftovers?"
Grace was baffled. The fruit was perfectly fine just a moment ago—how did it end up with a bite so quickly?
With everyone watching, it couldn't have been Bianca Whiteshire herself who bit it just to cause trouble, right?
Just then, Ray spoke to her from the magical space: "Mom, there's a Violet Minksprite under her table. It was the Minksprite that bit it."
Grace glanced at the table and said, "It was the Violet Minksprite under your table that bit it."
"What Violet Minksprite?" Bianca Whiteshire's eyes flashed with panic, but she insisted, "I have no idea what you're talking about!"
"How about I get you a new plate, Princess?" Grace didn't want to argue in front of everyone.
Bianca could afford to lose face, but Grace couldn't!
As she spoke, Grace went over, ready to take away Bianca's plate and replace it with a fresh one.
But Bianca Whiteshire took the opportunity to grab Grace's hand. "You give me someone else's leftovers and think a new plate will fix it?"
Her grip was like iron—Grace couldn't break free.
Shannon said she's half-divine, and not even the two of us together could beat her. Looks like that's true!
Luckily, John Summers saw things going south and hurried over to smooth things out: "Your Highness, it's our fault for not serving well enough. Please forgive us! How about I personally bring you a fresh plate of fruit?"
"President Summers, this is about my dignity as a princess. Swapping the fruit won't solve that!"
Her dramatic scene was starting to annoy John Summers. He asked in a low voice, "Then what does Your Highness want?"
"Make her kneel and eat the whole plate! Not even the pits can be left!"
John Summers frowned and glanced at Grace.
Grace smiled slightly and said, "Your Highness, we've served every noble guest with the rarest spiritual fruit from Ten Wilds Continent. As for your fruit, it really was bitten by your Violet Minksprite."
"I don't have any Violet Minksprite!"
"Is that so?" Grace said. "Looks like a random troublemaker snuck in to annoy Her Highness. Ray, drag it out so the Princess can see!"
Little Antler darted out at lightning speed, shot into Bianca Whiteshire's sleeve, bit the Violet Minksprite's butt, dragged it out upside-down, and tossed it onto the table.
Then, just as quickly, it zipped back into hiding.
No one even saw what kind of magical beast it was.
"Your Highness, it's this Violet Minksprite. Look, there's still fruit stuck to its mouth!"
Bianca Whiteshire bit her lip, not knowing what to say.
What kind of magical beast was that? It actually managed to catch her lightning-fast, super poisonous Violet Minksprite?
"This Violet Minksprite isn't yours, is it, Your Highness?"
She'd just said, "I don't have any Violet Minksprite," so she obviously couldn't contradict herself now.
So she said, "No! Where did this thing come from, anyway?"
