Not a Single One Left
Soon, they were reduced to nothing but piles of ashes.
Even her Binding Immortal Lock was destroyed in the fire.
She stood there, stunned for a whole minute, before finally saying, "Such a vast Hundred Blossoms Paradise, and not a single survivor. Not only did they kill the victimized Flower Fairies, they even wiped out their own henchmen—no one left alive..."
Sean Shaw took a slow, deep breath, put away the Clarity Charm, and said, "These henchmen knew even more. If they’re willing to kill innocent Flower Fairies who never even entered the White Pavilion, how could they possibly spare their own people?"
Lucia Lu clenched her fists, her eyes suddenly reddened as tears streamed down. "They’re monsters! The Flower Fairies were so beautiful—how could anyone bear to kill them? Hundreds of Flower Fairies, and not a single one left... Such a massive extermination!"
Sean’s gaze softened, and he silently reached out to wipe away her tears.
"I even promised that little Flower Fairy I’d help them..." Lucia’s tears fell even harder. "But I got her killed instead!"
"How was it you who killed her? It was Marcus Xuanchen and his crew who did this!"
"If I hadn’t taken you to the Elderworld, we wouldn’t have met Lana Bloom and Third Prince Xiao. If we hadn’t met them, this whole mess wouldn’t have landed in front of the Celestial Emperor. At least then, the Flower Fairies would still be alive!"
"Don’t blame yourself." Sean said. "If anyone’s at fault, it’s me for exposing this but failing to protect them in time. I never thought they’d be so... ruthless."
All things have spirit.
But spiritual beings are different.
For humans to cultivate into immortals, it usually takes decades, sometimes centuries.
For beasts, it takes hundreds or even thousands of years.
But for plants and grasses, it’s even harder—without several thousand years, they have little chance.
Most immortals understand how hard cultivation is.
True powerhouses don’t take lives lightly.
But these conspirators treat spiritual beings as nothing but weeds.
......
Lucia said fiercely, "No matter what, Marcus Xuanchen must be caught! He has to pay for what he’s done!"
Sean reached out again to wipe away her tears and said, "Don’t cry."
Only then did Lucia notice what he was doing. Embarrassed, she stepped back and said, "Let’s head out. Leo Li should be arriving soon."
Sean nodded.
Sure enough, they had barely stepped outside when Leo Li came rushing over, panting.
He brought the Spell Stone for Hundred Blossoms Paradise’s Portal Array.
The Celestial Emperor asked where Marcus Xuanchen was. Leo said he’d gone to fetch the Spell Stone, but in a moment of carelessness, Marcus slipped away.
He was in such a hurry to report back, he didn’t even chase after him.
The Celestial Emperor gave him a cold look, then led a group of disciples through the portal.
Inside, the place was deserted—nothing left at all.
When the Celestial Emperor saw the corpses that hadn’t been burned yet, he immediately ordered the Xuanchen Clan to seize Marcus Xuanchen and bring him to Drake Abyss.
But Marcus didn’t show up—instead, his wife came.
She broke down crying in front of the Celestial Emperor.
She said Marcus hadn’t come home in a thousand years.
He ignored every family matter, always claiming he was cultivating in some secret realm.
At first, she tried everything she could to find him.
But later, he went so far as to burn all his clothes and belongings, so even Rune Masters couldn’t track him down.
So the Celestial Emperor ordered the Phoenix Clan to use their Ancestral Locator Spell to find him.
But unexpectedly, the Phoenix Clan found no Bloodline Threads at all.
The Ancestral Locator Spell is a unique and powerful magic of the Phoenix Clan.
As long as someone is alive, it can track them.
If it can’t, it usually means the person is dead.
Marcus’s wife collapsed, sobbing uncontrollably on the spot...
