Chi Yao's Fury

12/19/2025

Joe Di was naturally very much in agreement with Nick Ning's proposal. Whether it succeeded or not, to try was always worthwhile—and in this boundless cosmos, there was seldom harm in chasing the unknown.

Di Jiu and Ning Cheng chose a deserted planet outside the void. Since no one inhabited this planet, whatever the two did would not affect the Five Elements Universe.

First, the two joined forces to set up layer upon layer of concealment arrays on the deserted planet. Not only did these arrays hide all fluctuations of principles, but even if Chi Yao's Grand Dao Principle exploded midway, there would be no problem.

"Di Jiu, take out Chi Yao's Grand Dao Principle and let me have a look." After everything was arranged, Ning Cheng rubbed his hands together and said with a chuckle, even showing a bit of excitement.

Chi Yao was once a powerhouse who had stepped into the Fourth Step. Even if he hadn't re-entered the Fourth Step now, his Grand Dao Principle absolutely surpassed the vast chaos of their universe.

Just like Di Jiu, after clearly sensing the existence of the Fourth Step, Ning Cheng had not had a single chance to glimpse it.

Clearly, everyone's perception was correct—there can only ever be one who attains the Fourth Step. Now, with the Grand Dao Principle of a Fourth Step sovereign present, if they could unravel its mystery, perhaps the true secret of the Fourth Step would finally be revealed.

Without a moment's hesitation, Joe Di reached out and drew forth a Grand Dao Principle, sealed and shrouded in cosmic power.

At the first sight of this Grand Dao Principle, Ning Cheng exclaimed, "Di Jiu, your seal is truly remarkable."

Di Jiu's seal was indeed remarkable, because it locked the law inside without triggering it in the slightest. Even Chi Yao, who had laid down this law, would not notice it.

Joe Di smiled, "If we manage to break through Chi Yao's Grand Dao Principle today, Chi Yao will surely sense it in the very next instant. I've never tried to force this principle, since I simply cannot break it. Opportunities like this to seize Chi Yao's Grand Dao Principle will not come again."

Chi Yao dared to let his law merge into Di Jiu's Dao, naturally knowing how terrifying the consequences would be if someone stripped away his law. Yet Chi Yao was confident that in this vast chaos, no one could strip his law. Even if someone could, no one could break it.

Ning Cheng chuckled, "So what if Chi Yao notices at that moment?"

Both of their divine senses simultaneously penetrated the sealed law. Without hesitation, Di Jiu directly constructed a Rule Cycle, passing through the law.

Ning Cheng felt Di Jiu's Rule Cycle and secretly sighed at the power of Di Jiu's Dao. Before he attained the Nirvana Dao, his Gui Yi Dao was as simplistic as babbling in comparison to Di Jiu's Dao.

Now, his Dao had also become a universe-level Dao, no weaker than Di Jiu's Rule Dao.

At this moment, Di Jiu said nothing more. With each cycle of his Rule Dao, he could strip away some laws from the grand law. Yet these laws were unfamiliar to both Di Jiu and Ning Cheng. Their Dao rhyme aura far surpassed this universe's vast chaos, completely beyond their understanding.

If Di Jiu continued stripping them endlessly, he still wouldn't be able to deduce the origin of this grand law.

But today was different—today, Ning Cheng was helping. Ning Cheng also constructed a cycle, and contrary to Di Jiu, all the laws Di Jiu stripped away were dissolved by Ning Cheng...

Just as Ning Cheng couldn't set up Di Jiu's kind of array Dao, Di Jiu had the Law-Splitting Blade, but he still couldn't use Ning Cheng's law-breaking methods.

A distinct Dao rhyme aura appeared in both their minds, still extending from the source of the vast chaos and gradually condensing into a higher-level Dao rhyme... This was also why Di Jiu had never managed to understand this law before.

Di Jiu and Ning Cheng both trembled with excitement, exchanging a delighted glance before madly accelerating their cycles.

Neither Di Jiu nor Ning Cheng, who had suggested working together, had expected their Daos to perfectly extract the mystery from Chi Yao's grand law. The secrets of the law were laid bare before them, with nothing left hidden.

The more Dao rhyme aura they extracted, the more delighted they became, certain that their strength would soar again today. Though the Fourth Step was still out of reach, with Chi Yao's Dao secrets exposed, they would no longer be powerless in the future.

......

"Brother Ye, your Dao has become more refined." Qing Ru, who was with Ye Mo, noticed the change most clearly. She was certain Ye Mo was now more than ten times stronger than when they first met.

This was a transcendence beyond substance—a true elevation of Dao.

Ye Mo was also thrilled. Though he knew Qing Ru would perfect his universe seed, he hadn't expected his Dao seed to fully transform into the embryonic form of all things in the universe.

This was true self-condensation of Dao—transforming into two, two giving birth to three, and three giving rise to all things. No longer was it the Five Elements Universe's Dao of three becoming one, then two becoming three, and three giving birth to all things.

"Thank you, Qing Ru. Without who you were back then, there wouldn't be us today." Ye Mo gripped Qing Ru's hand, recalling the karma of those years.

Serena Green smiled gently, leaning against Ye Mo. "Back then, I perfected my Life Dao because of you. Today, you perfect your Three-Life Dao because of me. There is a mysterious bond and connection between us."

"Chi Yao is coming." As Ye Mo spoke, the Violet Saber fell into his palm.

Serena Green also snapped to attention, immediately seeing a figure descend from the void.

"Qing, you..." Chi Yao stared at Serena Green, who was nestled beside Ye Mo, in disbelief, his eyes filled with rage and madness.

Serena Green frowned and calmly said to Chi Yao, "Do I know you? Besides, my name is Serena Green now. The woman called Qing is already gone."

Serena Green no longer held her previous thoughts. Since Ye Mo was unwilling, she would live or perish with him.

Chi Yao took a deep breath, softening his tone. "If it hadn't been for you back then, how could I have been schemed against by a bunch of ants? For you, I even gave up the Fourth Step. Can you really say you knew nothing? Qing, can you say you chose the Dao Selection not so I would come to you?"

Chi Yao knew better than anyone that Serena Green chose the Dao Selection to pick a Dao companion, just to tell him—Chi Yao—that she was looking for him.

After saying this, Chi Yao didn't wait for Serena Green's reply. His gaze shifted back to Ye Mo, his tone turning cold. "I thought you were just an ordinary bug who admired Serena Green, but I didn't expect you to actually dare..."

Chi Yao's words came to an abrupt halt. He had thought Serena Green was summoned by Ye Mo, but now he understood Ye Mo couldn't have done it. The only possibility was that Serena Green had been waiting for Ye Mo all along, so she came out early. The reason Serena Green came out early was because she also knew Chi Yao would seal the Azure Balance Sect.

Why did Serena Green come out early to wait for Ye Mo? It was because she and Ye Mo had probably already been together. How laughable that Chi Yao thought Serena Green would belong to him forever.

"Qing, so you brought me here just to scheme against me for this man. Hahaha..." Chi Yao laughed madly, but there was no hint of joy in his eyes.

He had been arrogant all his life, and no one dared call him arrogant because he had the strength to back it up. Today, he realized he was truly arrogant this time. Serena Green knew he was about to step into the Fourth Step, because he had given her Dao rhyme information. After learning this, Serena Green used it to lure him here—not out of love, but to scheme against him with another man. Only if Chi Yao died would they be free.

Serena Green stared coldly at Chi Yao. After his laughter faded, she said indifferently, "I, Serena Green, have never had anything to do with you, Chi Yao. Only people like you, who think they rule over everything, would believe that all existence belongs to you."

Chi Yao had calmed down. He fixed his gaze on Serena Green. "You're right. Everything in the vastness belongs to me, whether living or not. Qing, if you return to me now, you'll still be the only woman in my life."

Serena Green couldn't even be bothered to reply.

Suddenly, she and Ye Mo were locked in a supreme, terrifying spatial domain, as if an invisible shackle had bound them tightly together.

Everything was beyond their control, and all the Daos they had cultivated were severed by Chi Yao at that moment.

Ye Mo's expression remained calm. His Dao circulated, and in an instant, he formed a Dao cycle. Within this Dao cycle, the universe Dao seed evolved—one became two, two gave birth to three, and three to all things...

All things sprang into existence, a world formed in an instant, and Serena Green felt the shackle binding her suddenly vanish. She found herself in a world space with Ye Mo.

Breaking free from Chi Yao’s domain, Ye Mo wielded the Violet Saber without hesitation, unleashing a purple Dao-marked blade pattern that locked onto Chi Yao and struck down.

Crack! As the blade descended, the entire Oblivion Continent was enveloped by the twisted purple blade pattern. The death aura of Oblivion Continent was swept away by Ye Mo's strike, as if the void itself was collapsing, all of it crushing toward Chi Yao.

Chi Yao stared in shock at Ye Mo's descending blade pattern, muttering, "Impossible. How can you make a move?"

He had seen Ye Mo's strength not long ago and believed that under his Dao domain, Ye Mo shouldn't have been able to act at all.

In that brief moment, the purple blade pattern had already descended. Furious, Chi Yao reached out and grabbed the purple blade pattern directly.

Crack! Ye Mo's twisted blade pattern was actually caught by Chi Yao and shattered into fragments. A torrent of force swept over, and Ye Mo nearly lost control of the Violet Saber, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

Chi Yao's expression changed drastically. He gazed in shock at the vast void—not because of Ye Mo's strike, but because his own grand law was being stripped away and even deduced by someone else.

(That's all for today's update, friends. Good night!)
