As soon as the final layer of the Taiji Realm’s domain-protecting array was sealed, Joe Di sensed it immediately. He was certain something must have happened in the Taiji Realm. But no matter what it was, as long as the realm was sealed, nothing could go wrong. The Taiji Realm was locked down by his four Five-Element Flags in a chain formation—even if several Third Step experts arrived, they wouldn’t be able to break it open easily. By the time the protective array was almost destroyed, he should already have emerged from the Mountainview Forbidden Zone.
Joe Di raced at full speed and returned to the Mountainview Forbidden Zone in the shortest time possible.
Although Lord Voidbreaker and Bolt were no longer there, the Mountainview Forbidden Zone was still bustling with activity.
"Brother Di, you’re finally back." As soon as Joe Di returned, Elijah Wells was the first to greet him. In fact, after Bolt was captured and Lord Voidbreaker entered the Mountainview Forbidden Zone, Elijah Wells was the only one left helping at the Mountainview Tavern. Now that his injuries had healed, Elijah Wells was no weakling—he was more than capable of handling things on his own.
Joe Di patted Elijah Wells on the shoulder. "Thank you for your help. I need to enter the Mountainview Forbidden Zone to look for Bolt. While I’m gone, please keep an eye on the Mountainview Tavern for me. Much appreciated."
After saying this, Joe Di didn’t wait for Elijah Wells to reply. With a flash, he rushed straight into the Mountainview Forbidden Zone.
Elijah Wells opened his mouth, but could only sigh helplessly, a trace of resignation in his eyes.
If Joe Di were willing to talk a bit longer, Elijah Wells would have tried to persuade him not to enter the Mountainview Forbidden Zone—at least not right now.
Take Lord Voidbreaker, for instance. In Elijah Wells’s view, Lord Voidbreaker’s strength shouldn’t be any less than Joe Di’s. But in reality, Lord Voidbreaker had entered the Mountainview Forbidden Zone nearly two years ago, and there hadn’t been any news since. No need to guess—Lord Voidbreaker was likely in dire straits. Even if he wasn’t, he was trapped inside and couldn’t get out. If even Lord Voidbreaker was stuck, it would be strange for Joe Di to have any luck entering.
If the Mountainview Forbidden Zone were truly that simple, Elijah Wells wouldn’t have risked exposing the Five Elements Chaos Essence by staying at the Mountainview Tavern. He would have simply fled into the forbidden zone.
......
As soon as Joe Di entered the Mountainview Forbidden Zone, his divine sense could no longer detect the way back. No matter how well he remembered the direction, it seemed this place could only be entered, not exited.
Joe Di didn’t care about that at all. He’d been to places just like the Mountainview Forbidden Zone before—more than once or twice. Whether it was the Realm of Sevenfold Rebirth, the Lost Dao Domain, or the original River Mountain Vessel, none of them were easy to escape. Yet he’d managed every time. Now, the River Mountain Vessel had even become one of his treasures.
What concerned Joe Di more was the utter chaos of the rules here. He worried that Bolt might be torn apart by these shattered, turbulent laws.
In a place like this, not even Lord Voidbreaker would fare well, let alone Bolt. The only exception was Joe Di himself. He cultivated the Dao of Laws, so the chaos and fragmentation of heaven and earth’s rules had little effect on him. At worst, it would tear his physical body, but his flesh had already surpassed the Sacred Body. Even without using any techniques, the chaotic laws here couldn’t rip him apart.
Because the rules were so chaotic, even Joe Di’s divine sense was limited to a certain range. Fortunately, he possessed the Eye of the Way—while his divine sense was restricted, the Eye of the Way could still perceive everything within ten thousand miles.
In this place, everywhere Joe Di looked and sensed was filled with lingering slaughter. The aura of killing permeated the surroundings, and even after so many years, it could still leave bloody marks on Joe Di’s body.
Even though those bloody marks vanished in an instant, it was enough to show just how terrifying the carnage here had once been.
Joe Di moved with incredible speed, covering hundreds of thousands of miles in a short time.
Outside, a distance of hundreds of thousands of miles meant nothing to a Genesis Realm cultivator—it was within the range of their divine sense, and could be crossed in a few steps. But in the Mountainview Forbidden Zone, that distance truly felt vast.
In the Lost Dao Domain, Joe Di had seen plenty of broken artifact fragments. But compared to the ones here, those were nothing.
It wasn’t that the fragments here were of a higher grade, but rather that they hadn’t been worn down by the passage of time. Many looked as if they’d just been shattered, and most still carried their owners’ lingering killing intent. If a weaker cultivator accidentally picked up such a fragment, the residual slaughter aura could tear apart their body and soul.
After less than a day of wandering, Joe Di was convinced of Lord Voidbreaker’s words. There was a particular aura here, one not found anywhere else in the universe. It surpassed the rules of the divine realm and carried a sense of cosmic vastness.
Yet this aura was so faint that it was almost useless to Joe Di. He suspected this was the Creation Aura Lord Voidbreaker had spoken of.
Besides the Creation Aura, Joe Di also agreed with something else Lord Voidbreaker had mentioned: he saw many remnant souls here. These soul fragments had clearly fallen, then reformed after absorbing the Creation Aura.
But as the Creation Aura grew ever weaker, most of these remnant souls could only partially reform—they couldn’t fully recover.
Some souls had fallen too long ago. Even after being nourished by the Creation Aura, they couldn’t completely restore themselves. They gained a bit of intelligence, but lost their original memories. Those who participated in the Creation War, however, were no ordinary beings, so most remnant souls retained their memories.
A few of these memory-retaining souls stared at Joe Di in astonishment. Since the end of the Creation War and the formation of the Mountainview Forbidden Zone, quite a few outsiders had entered. But none had ever wandered through this chaotic land like Joe Di, whose body seemed almost unaffected.
Joe Di searched for three whole days, but aside from remnant souls, he didn’t see a single cultivator with an intact body. On the fourth day, unable to hold back any longer, he stopped one of the better-reformed soul remnants.

Faced with a powerhouse like Joe Di, even a soul remnant who was once a peerless expert wouldn’t dare act rashly.
"A few acquaintances of mine entered here. Let me sketch a void portrait for you to see. Oh, and there’s a bird—with a lightning mark on its head. Have you seen it?" As he spoke, Joe Di quickly sketched the likenesses of Lord Voidbreaker, Owen Jarvis, and Bolt.
The soul remnant was shocked by Joe Di’s actions. Even among the experts of the Creation War, few could casually sketch void portraits in such a chaotic and shattered realm.
"Senior, I’m just a soul remnant, only restored thanks to the Creation Aura. I don’t dare stray far from here, so I really haven’t seen the people you mentioned." Even though the soul remnant knew it was far older than Joe Di, it didn’t dare call him a peer, only addressing him as 'Senior.'
Joe Di waved his hand, ready to look for another soul remnant to question, when a weak voice called out, "Fellow Daoist, I’ve seen one of them."
Joe Di immediately turned his gaze to a faint soul nearby. It was clearly a woman, but her soul was so poorly restored she looked even less substantial than some of the shadows in the Realm of Sevenfold Rebirth.
"Who did you see?" Joe Di asked excitedly. He hadn’t seen a single person since arriving here.
The woman’s shadow seemed to fade even more, so Joe Di unhesitatingly crushed several Dao Pills and sprinkled a few drops of Origin Dew over her.
Her shadow instantly became more solid, even taking on the beginnings of a human form.
Overjoyed, the shadow said excitedly, "Thank you, Fellow Daoist! My name is Mandy Chu. If I ever regain my physical body, I’ll be sure to repay your kindness."
Joe Di waved his hand and said, "It’s nothing—just something within my power. Now, tell me, who did you see?"
(That’s all for today’s update—good night, friends!)
