Lethe's Dao Attainment

12/19/2025

The only thing Sawyer Walker could do was to keep tearing through the boundaries of the void. Only by doing this could he seize a slim chance to escape.

Sawyer Walker's actions did indeed cause Joe Di a great deal of trouble, at least making it impossible for Joe Di to catch up for the moment. But because of Joe Di's sensitivity to the laws of heaven and earth, combined with the power of his Rule-Evasion Technique, Sawyer Walker still could not shake him off completely.

Immeasura Palace Lord had her physical body destroyed by him. Even with help from Du Bu, at most she could only regain her strength. Moria West, as the Fate Dao Sovereign, was definitely not weaker than Immeasura Palace Lord—in fact, she might even be stronger. With the drop of Cosmic True Essence he gave, once Moria West recovered, killing the weakened Immeasura Palace Lord would be no problem.

With Moria West dealing with Immeasura Palace Lord, Joe Di could pursue Sawyer Walker without any worries.

In a desolate valley, a dark-skinned youth carrying an unsheathed long blade suddenly burst out, laughing heartily. "Today, I, Dylan Lethe, have finally stepped into the Second Step—attaining the Prime Realm Stage!"

The long blade soared up on its own, circling endlessly around him, as if sharing in the dark-skinned youth's joy.

A lazy voice came from high up in the valley. "So you’ve reached the Prime Realm—what’s there to be so happy about? I crossed into the Prime Realm decades before you, and waiting for you has been downright agonizing."

"Brother Ye, I truly owe you. You’re a real friend. If you hadn’t brought me here, I never would’ve found this place called Great Ken Space hidden in the void. If not for this place, I have no idea how long it would’ve taken me to reach the Second Step, the Prime Realm Stage." Dylan Lethe’s voice was full of gratitude.

He and Serena Cheng had met in adversity, relying on each other countless times. Yet after Serena Cheng stepped into the Second Step, the Prime Realm Stage, she no longer looked up to Dylan Lethe. That coldness—whenever Dylan Lethe thought of it, it felt as if it had just happened.

Fortunately, he met Leon Starfield—a generous friend and fellow Earth native. It was thanks to Leon Starfield that he arrived at Great Ken Space, and together they cultivated here, breaking through to the Prime Realm Stage.

Leon Starfield waved his hand. "We're both from Earth, there's no need for thanks. Lately, though, I keep feeling that being around you is dangerous—and that danger keeps growing. I've thought it over, and you're not the problem. The only issue must be something you're carrying. Take a look. If you really can't find it, I'll have no choice but to leave."

Leon Starfield had always been loyal; he brought Dylan Lethe to Great Ken Space years ago. The laws here were clear, and the air was filled with a pure Chaos Essence. This place was truly ideal for breaking through to the Second Step.

A few centuries after arriving, Leon Starfield indeed broke through to the Prime Realm Stage ahead of time. But after reaching the Prime Realm, his sense of crisis only grew stronger. He cultivated the Trilife Sutra, which made him highly sensitive to all things, and that sense of impending danger had never been wrong before.

If not for teaming up with Dylan Lethe—who was also a cultivator from Earth—he would have left long ago.

"Ah..." Dylan Lethe cried out in surprise, instinctively reaching for the pendant hanging at his chest.

That pendant was the only gift Serena Cheng had ever given him. When she left in a hurry to pursue someone, it became his sole link to her.

"It must be that thing. When you hold it, my sense of unease grows even stronger." Leon Starfield exclaimed as soon as he saw the pendant in Dylan Lethe's hand.

"No matter how cold she is, she's still just a Prime Realm cultivator." Dylan Lethe sighed. Though he was deeply disappointed in Serena Cheng, he was sentimental by nature. This pendant was a keepsake from their days of fighting side by side. Besides, even if Serena Cheng came here as a Prime Realm cultivator, she wouldn't be able to do anything to him or Leon Starfield.

Leon Starfield sneered. He'd said all he needed to say—if Dylan Lethe refused to throw the pendant away, he'd turn and leave without hesitation. If the threat was really just a Prime Realm cultivator, he wouldn't feel any danger. After all his years roaming the cosmic void, he'd never met a rival among his peers.

Dylan Lethe noticed Leon Starfield's cold smile and knew he deeply disliked Serena Cheng. Having a friend like Leon Starfield was something Dylan truly cherished. Without hesitation, he tore off the pendant and tossed it away.

Leon Starfield reached out and caught the pendant Dylan Lethe had thrown. "Brother Lethe, leaving it here won't do. There's a Void Vortex not far from here—let's throw it into the vortex."

"Alright." As soon as Dylan Lethe handed over the pendant, he felt a wave of relief. In that moment, he realized the pendant really might be the source of the problem.

The Void Vortex Leon Starfield mentioned wasn’t far away. In just half a day, he led Dylan Lethe to its edge, and without a moment’s hesitation, tossed the pendant into the swirling void.

A surge of immense void power swept through the vortex, instantly swallowing the pendant without a trace.

Leon Starfield let out a breath. "That's better. Come on—the depths of Great Ken Space have another excellent spot for cultivation. There, we can find some top-grade Divine Spirit Herbs and supreme magical artifacts. No one will come looking for us there. Let’s go check it out."

"Brother Leon, your cultivation method is truly remarkable. Your sense for danger is so precise." Dylan Lethe said with admiration.

Leon Starfield wasn’t modest. "Mm, but the technique isn’t mine—it’s my father’s. Actually, your technique is impressive too, though I can’t quite figure it out. Come on, we shouldn’t linger here. Maybe one day, we’ll develop our own techniques and won’t have to rely on our fathers’ anymore."

Now very close to Great Ken Space, Cynthia Xing suddenly stopped in her tracks. She hadn’t fully crossed into the Third Step—she was only at the half-step Realm Genesis level. But for Cynthia Xing, this was just laying the foundation for the Third Step. As long as she wished, she could step into the Third Step at any moment.

She knew exactly who her rivals were—and how terrifying they could be. That’s why she had to do whatever it took to forge the strongest domain and step into the Third Step.

Only after her domain gained a vague outline did she sense Dylan Lethe’s presence. Dylan Lethe was someone she had to capture and keep within her own world. It wasn’t about old feelings or anything else—her very survival depended on it.

She had witnessed Joe Di’s terrifying power before. Back then, he was only at the Dao Fusion Realm, yet he could easily crush her. And Dylan Lethe’s cultivation method was extraordinary—the Path of Rules. As the former master of the Genesis Lotus, Cynthia Xing understood better than anyone the might of the Path of Rules.

Her current method for condensing the Path of Vitality in her own world was learned from Dylan Lethe’s Path of Rules. Though she hadn’t wanted to use his cultivation method to refine her world, she had no choice—she simply couldn’t find a stronger way to create a vital domain.

She had been reborn many times, and her understanding of life and death surpassed most cultivators. With the techniques Dylan Lethe shared about the Path of Rules, she now sought to combine cosmic laws with her own insights into life and death—refining a world shaped by her own Path of Vitality and achieving Realm Genesis, the Third Step.

Dylan Lethe’s cultivation method was surely taught by Joe Di. Now, Cynthia Xing had no choice but to borrow Dylan Lethe’s Dao techniques to forge her own world—showing just how formidable Joe Di truly was. That’s why she had to complete Realm Genesis before Joe Di reached the Third Step. Once she succeeded, no matter how powerful Joe Di was, as long as he hadn’t created his own domain, he wouldn’t be her match.

Capturing Dylan Lethe and keeping him within her world was only one of Cynthia Xing’s ways to protect herself. Of course, beyond that, she didn’t want someone she once loved to find another woman. If she ever became truly powerful, she would have to kill Dylan Lethe.

But just as she was about to approach Dylan Lethe, she suddenly lost all sense of him.
