Song Zhijue’s True Identity Revealed (1)
Ivy Shen let out a furious shout and launched herself at Cao Wan’er. Both women had been taught by the same sect brothers, so their martial arts and strength were evenly matched.
"Hmph, if things were different, you’d actually be my junior sister," Cao Wan’er sneered as they exchanged blows.
Ivy countered her moves with ruthless techniques. "Don’t forget, your master’s already been kicked out of the sect. You people? Not worthy!"
Hearing that, Cao Wan’er’s face instantly darkened—wasn’t that basically just a direct insult?
"You must have a death wish!" Cao Wan’er roared, her rage boiling over.
Ivy dodged her attack with a single move. This old witch’s techniques were as vicious as her master’s—every strike was a straight-up kill shot.
Seeing this, Ivy twisted her sword, sending cold light scattering everywhere. In an instant, the glare from her blade stabbed straight into Cao Wan’er’s eyes.
Cao hurriedly threw up her arm to shield herself from the icy glare.
Seeing her reaction, Ivy’s cold sword, glowing with silver light, came slashing down.
But Cao Wan’er, relying on her sharp hearing and reflexes, dodged the deadly attack with ease.
"Not bad!" Cao Wan’er stepped back a meter, eyeing the dagger in Ivy’s hand. If she hadn’t reacted fast enough, she’d already be dead under that blade.
Ivy’s lips curled into a grin. "You’re pretty good at running away yourself!"
The instant their mutual taunts ended, they started brawling again. In just a dozen more rounds, the fight reached another stalemate.
Compared to last time, Cao Wan’er’s martial arts had clearly improved. No wonder—she’d absorbed even more people’s inner power.
But Ivy wasn’t some pushover either. With a sudden whirlwind, she dodged Cao Wan’er’s lethal move like it was nothing.
While the two fought to a standstill, elsewhere Luna was busy urging Silver Consort to hurry out and help Her Majesty—the demoness had already arrived.
Silver Consort didn’t get why Luna wanted her help. Besides, she couldn’t do much now—her days were numbered and she was way past fighting on the battlefield. How could she possibly help Her Majesty?
Luna knew exactly why she was hesitating and explained: all Silver Consort had to do was show up and intimidate the enemy. After all, that demoness had once been defeated by her. If she appeared, their side’s morale would soar and they could crush the demoness with sheer momentum.
Listening to Luna, Silver Consort finally realized Cao Wan’er could actually fight—just not very well. She’d lured the demoness away to where the real experts were, and Luna wanted Silver Consort to go and shock her.
Thinking about how important tonight was for her son, Silver Consort stopped hesitating. If she could help him even once before dying, she’d have no regrets.
So she and Luna quickly left the dark room, keeping their conversation secret from Song Zhijue. But as they quietly slipped away, Song Zhijue happened to see them.
A wave of anxiety hit him out of nowhere. Not knowing why, Song Zhijue started quietly wheeling himself after them.
Seeing Luna so nervous, and his master—now powerless—heading outside, Song Zhijue realized things must be utter chaos out there. He couldn’t just sit and wait to die. What about his mother? What was happening to her?
The more he thought about it, the more worried he got. He sped up, afraid he’d lose them.

Cao Wan’er’s lips curled into a wicked smile. She’d absorbed pure yin energy—no way she couldn’t handle this demoness!
The ‘crackling’ of swords echoed through the air, strange and eerie enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.
Seeing Ivy’s moves improve so much in such a short time, Cao Wan’er was shaking with rage. This woman really was her nemesis!
If she didn’t get rid of her today, it would only get harder in the future!
With a loud ‘bang,’ just as Cao Wan’er was plotting how to deal with Ivy, Ivy’s palm came crashing down mercilessly.
"Ugh..." In an instant, pain shot through Cao Wan’er’s shoulder. Seeing her opening, Ivy attacked even faster.
Cao Wan’er reacted, ducking low and twisting her head, then let out a screech as she kicked hard at Ivy’s ankle, aiming to cripple her.
Ivy frowned and leapt back. She’d let her guard down—who knew Cao Wan’er had tricks with her feet too?
Seeing Ivy in pain, Cao Wan’er couldn’t help but laugh. "Looks like we’re pretty evenly matched, huh?"
"Pfft, you wish!" Ivy shot back coldly, glaring at Cao Wan’er with disdain.
"Yeah, well, the world only needs one of us, not two. Today, I’m sending you straight to hell!" Cao Wan’er declared again.
Ivy just laughed coldly, her lips curling in scorn. "How many times have you said that now?" She raised her eyes, icy and determined. "The moment I was hurt, I swore—I’ll never let anyone hurt the people I want to protect!"
Cao Wan’er was briefly stunned. Ivy’s aura had suddenly grown overwhelming, leaving her unsure how to react.
"Cao Wan’er, listen up! I’ll go to hell—"
"Huh?"
"But—I'm taking you all to hell with me!" Ivy’s wild roar whipped up a hurricane, like a lion shaking the night with pure shock and power.
Cao Wan’er was completely stunned by her aura, her heart skipping a beat.
"No matter what demonic tricks you use, today I’ll make you disappear for good!" Ivy’s voice rang out like music, her whole presence shifting as a golden light seemed to wrap around her, looking holy and untouchable.
"Take this!" The next second, the only thing left was the earth-shaking, ghost-shattering sound of sword energy.
"What?!" Terror flashed across Cao Wan’er’s face. The hellish sword light tore through every barrier, heading straight for her face—unstoppable. It felt like she’d be split in two the very next moment.

The sword strike was so fast and sudden, she couldn’t react at all.
With a ‘thud~~~’, Cao Wan’er was blasted against the wall, crashing hard to the ground. The walls themselves collapsed with a boom.
The force of that sword was overwhelming, like an assassin spilling blood—victory or death, nothing in between!
"Ugh ugh~~~" On the ground, blood poured from Cao Wan’er’s mouth—proof of just how brutal Ivy’s sword strike had been.
Cao Wan’er stared at Ivy in terror, never expecting her aura to be so overwhelming. That move had nearly killed her—she’d seriously underestimated Ivy’s power!
Ivy stood in the darkness, wild northern winds whipping her hair. She looked like a messenger from hell, her hair swirling like ropes of doom—terrifying and fierce.
But just then, a sudden shout gave Cao Wan’er a glimmer of hope.
"Empress Dowager..." Yes, it was Luna, dragging Silver Consort quickly to Cao Wan’er’s side.
Seeing this, Ivy frowned slightly. Was Silver Consort still alive?
At that moment, Cao Wan’er perked up, sprang to her feet, and grabbed Silver Consort’s hand, forcing her down.
Silver Consort was pinned by Cao Wan’er, momentarily stunned and unable to react.
"I’ve cared for you for years. Now you can repay me with everything you’ve got!" With that, Cao Wan’er pressed her fingers to Silver Consort’s head and began draining her inner strength.
Silver Consort’s face changed dramatically. She realized what Cao Wan’er was trying to do and began struggling, refusing to let her drain her power.
"Don’t move!" Cao Wan’er shouted.
