Feast of Abundance

1/4/2026

Luckily, the chefs at the Jiang Hot Springs Resort were well-prepared and quickly set up a buffet.

By evening, Charles Yin and Max Mo returned to the Jiang Hot Springs Resort at the same time.

To save time, Wendy quickly put together some food for Cecilia, and she ate fast—finishing breakfast in just a few bites.

Once, she was Miss Helen Jiang, the esteemed eldest daughter of the Jiang Family.

Meanwhile, more and more guests arrived at the Jiang Hot Springs Resort.

"Ah! Stay away from me!" Helen cried as they approached, suddenly remembering what had happened at the Jiang Hot Springs Resort yesterday.

Wendy worried Cecilia might be too tired, so she had Cecilia sit on the sofa. The others pulled up chairs, sitting across from and beside her.

That was her husband!

At this point, both Cecilia and Eric Jiang were surrounded, answering questions nonstop. Wendy helped keep things organized, making sure everyone had a chance to speak.

Helen Jiang almost wanted to brag about being Miss Helen Jiang, the eldest daughter of the Jiang Family, but suddenly remembered she'd been disowned that morning.

Cecilia barely had time to savor the moment before everyone gathered around her again.

Most of the people at the Hot Springs Resort this time were young heirs about Cecilia's age, but that didn't mean they ignored family business.

No one expected that the matchmaking event would end with them witnessing an alliance between Yin Enterprises, the Mo Family, and the Jiang Family.

Sometimes you try so hard and get nowhere, but luck finds you when you least expect it.

Even though Charles and Max Mo weren't present, everyone figured winning over Cecilia was just as good!

And honestly, they were right.

Xiao Wang worried Cecilia might be too tired, so she had Cecilia sit on the sofa. The others pulled up chairs, sitting across from and beside her.

Seeing everyone's nervous and excited faces, Cecilia smiled and said, "I get why you're all so excited, but honestly, I'm not the right person to ask. I'm still an employee and assistant team leader at Yin Enterprises, but ever since I started showing, I haven't really kept up with company affairs. If you're asking about the energy project, I might know a bit. But about the upcoming bidding event, I really can't help you much."

Everyone's eyes flashed with disappointment.

Cecilia continued, "Charles worries about me and doesn't want me to overwork, so he's handed everything here to Eric Jiang. If you have questions, feel free to ask him. Since this is a win-win partnership, I hope everyone here will unite with Yin Enterprises and give it our all at the bidding event in three days! This project is right at our doorstep—it's ours. We should do our best. The establishment of Summerville Deepwater Harbor will put our city on the international map. The benefits, the profits, and the development will all be long-lasting!"

"Only if Summerville develops well will life improve for all of us. Newport City and Summerville are neighbors, and Yin Enterprises plays a crucial role in both cities. So don't worry that Yin Enterprises will favor one city over the other—if you have enough strength, Yin Enterprises welcomes your partnership. Many of you may not have real power in your families yet, but that's okay. Tonight's banquet will officially invite your family heads to join in the celebration. I wish us all a victorious start!"

Cecilia's calm and confident speech instantly won unanimous applause from everyone present.

Today, people finally witnessed the poise and eloquence of the CEO's wife from the Yin Family.

Many used to think Cecilia Gu was just a figurehead, or that she only had her position at Yin Enterprises thanks to family connections.

But today, everyone realized Cecilia truly had talent and substance.

She didn't say much, but every word mattered.

She skillfully rallied everyone's emotions and put many worries to rest.

After hearing Cecilia's words, everyone expressed their trust in Yin Enterprises.

At this point, both Cecilia and Eric Jiang were surrounded, answering questions nonstop.

There were so many questions that no one could even enjoy breakfast properly.

Luckily, the chefs at the Hot Spring Villa were well-prepared and quickly set up a buffet.

Cecilia talked until her mouth was dry. She gratefully took the glass of water Xiao Wang handed her and drank it all in one go.

To save time, Xiao Wang quickly put together some food for Cecilia, and she ate fast—finishing breakfast in just a few bites.

She barely had time to rest before someone else came over to greet her.

Meanwhile, more and more guests arrived at the Hot Spring Villa.

These were the decision-makers in their families, coming to the Hot Spring Villa specifically to discuss matters with Charles, Max Mo, and Eric Jiang.

Cecilia spent almost the whole day communicating with these people.

Although Cecilia no longer managed work at Yin Enterprises, she had worked there for two years, so she understood most things right away.

Plus, the others made sure to explain things clearly. Whenever Cecilia seemed confused, they'd repeat themselves until she understood.

Everyone tried their best to show Cecilia their sincerity and strength, hoping to join the Yin Enterprises 'giant ship.'

The day passed quickly.

By evening, Charles and Max Mo returned to the Hot Spring Villa at the same time.

Their arrival immediately caused an even bigger stir.

Charles looked helplessly at Cecilia from afar. His plan to talk to her for a moment was ruined.

There were just too many people crowding around—even a dozen assistants couldn't clear them away.

Cecilia waved at Charles, signaling she was going to grab something to eat. Charles smiled silently and, for now, left her alone and turned to talk with others.

Max Mo did the same.

Everyone invited tonight was a major figure in Newport City and Summerville.

These people were key players in securing this important contract.

That night, the Hot Spring Villa was livelier than ever before.

Of course, not everyone was content in the midst of all this excitement.

Helen Jiang was driven out of the Jiang Family just like that. Even as she stood on the street with her simple luggage, she still couldn't accept that her identity had changed.

Was she really kicked out of her own home?

How could this happen!

Just then, three street thugs walked by. Seeing Helen Jiang shivering in the cold in her thin spring clothes, one of them whistled and teased, "Hey pretty girl, why suffer out here in the cold? Why not come warm up with us?"

The other two thugs burst out laughing in agreement.

Helen Jiang had never been humiliated like this before.

She spat fiercely at them, pointed at their noses, and cursed, "Who do you think you are? How dare you mess with me! Do you even know who I am? Are you looking for trouble?"

The thug who'd teased Helen Jiang looked her up and down, eyeing her small suitcase, and sneered, "Oh, really? So tell us, which family's princess are you? You only have a few things! Tsk tsk... And you still dare to act tough? We'll show you what it means to obey!"

Helen Jiang almost wanted to brag about being the Jiang Family's eldest daughter, but suddenly remembered she'd been disowned that morning.

Helen Jiang opened her mouth but couldn't say a word.

The three thugs were now convinced Helen was lying.

Helen Jiang had been pampered all her life, so her skin was delicate and her figure graceful.

Now that she'd angered these thugs, of course they wouldn't let her off easily.

The three surrounded Helen, their eyes lingering on her chest. One leered, "Nice body, little girl! Let us have a taste!"

"Ah! Stay away from me!" Helen cried as they approached, suddenly remembering what had happened at the Hot Spring Villa yesterday.

Helen Jiang grabbed her suitcase and swung it wildly at them.

"Go to hell! Don't touch me!" she screamed, smashing her suitcase at them with all her strength.

The latch on the suitcase popped open, scattering her clothes everywhere.

Helen's frantic screams startled the thugs.
