Looking at the surrounding forest, aside from the bizarrely shaped plants and the occasional animals that dared not approach due to the aura exuded by the Tri-tailed Lynx, it felt just like a tropical rainforest.
Our destination was clear: the river near the broken part of the island. As long as we followed the river mouth, we could reach the outlet, possibly enter the world after death, and perhaps find a clue at the river's source.
I still needed to recover, so we walked. The sounds of wild beasts echoed around us, but our journey went smoothly. Soon, a sea of pale purple flowers appeared before us, about the size of a basketball court. The petals were oddly shaped, like knives pointing east, with only a single blade and no leaves below—bare and strange. Ghost Painting Book Immortal stopped to observe them closely.
"Such a peculiar thing, but I bet it's poisonous."
We didn't get close, since the flower field was intact, with no animal tracks around it. As we neared, a pungent stench wafted over, growing stronger.
We could smell it from seven or eight meters away. Ghost Painting Book Immortal pinched his nose, crouching in front of the flowers, quietly observing.
"Old Book, what's so interesting about this? Let's just go."
Felix Zhou muttered, and Ghost Painting Book Immortal chuckled.
"With flowers this strange, there must be something powerful about them. Otherwise, how could such blooms exist in this jungle?"
Indeed, the area around the flowers was separated from those towering trees by about three or four meters. I noticed that some animals refused to come near, choosing to detour around it instead.
