Who Will Prevail

Grace figured that now the Sun Family had fallen from power, she probably wouldn't team up with Sophie Sun anymore.

But she was sure Grace Wan was already cooking up some new plan to kill her.

However, she wasn’t going to give Grace Wan another chance!

She and Grace Wan had already torn off all pretenses—now it was a fight to the death. Let’s see who comes out on top!

......

What Grace Wan cared about most, of course, were her three children.

Especially Kevin Zhuo—he was her lifeblood.

So, Grace cast a talisman spell on her precious lifeblood.

The method was similar to last time—a drop of talisman water, injected into Kevin Zhuo’s body.

March arrived, warm and full of blooming flowers—the garden looked gorgeous.

At that moment, Kevin Zhuo was out for a walk, limping along with the help of two pretty maids.

Grace just happened to be strolling in the garden too. She bumped into Kevin Zhuo and greeted him with a bright smile.

Kevin Zhuo clearly didn’t want to see her and turned to leave right away.

In that split second when he turned, Grace sent the talisman straight into the back of his neck.

That afternoon, the curse hit him hard—he went wild, screaming like he was dying.

Then he suddenly collapsed, foaming at the mouth and convulsing all over.

It looked like he was about to die any minute.

Grace Wan wasn’t home at the time, so the servants rushed to tell Minister Zhuo.

Minister Zhuo quickly sent someone to fetch a Spiritual Alchemist.

But the Spiritual Alchemist checked him for ages and still couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

Seeing him on the brink of death, the Spiritual Alchemist sighed and said, "You’d better prepare for the worst."

If there are any relatives you haven’t seen, hurry and call them back for a last goodbye.

If there are any wishes left unfulfilled, now’s the time to settle them!

Dowager Lady Evelyn Zhu fainted on the spot.

Grace felt a little guilty and quickly gave her a Heart Protection Pill.

Minister Zhuo felt like his heart was being sliced to pieces.

But he stayed strong and sent people to bring Grace Wan back so mother and son could see each other one last time.

When Grace Wan returned, she was much calmer than Minister Zhuo and the Dowager Lady.

A strange white light appeared in her right hand.

She tapped several major acupoints on Kevin Zhuo’s body.

Then, using some unknown magic, she pulled a lump of black energy out of his body.

Miraculously, Kevin Zhuo came back to life!

Grace Wan finally let out a sigh of relief.

Dowager Lady Evelyn Zhu and Minister Zhuo also breathed a sigh of relief.

As soon as they relaxed, they couldn’t help but wonder—what on earth just happened?

What happened?

She knew exactly what happened!

Grace Wan spun around, grabbed Grace by the collar like a madwoman, and shouted, "You put a death curse on him, didn’t you?!"

"Death curse? What’s that supposed to be?" Grace asked, eyes wide.

"If you have a problem, come at me! Leave my son alone!" Grace Wan roared.

If she’d come back even a little later today, Kevin Zhuo would’ve been doomed.

She was terrified—and furious.

Grace looked at Minister Zhuo with frightened eyes and called out, "Dad..."

"If you have something to say, say it calmly. Let Grace go first," Minister Zhuo said, frowning.

"Calmly? She wants to kill me and my children!" Grace Wan snapped. "Prime Minister, you must stand up for Kevin!"

She was so agitated, she yanked Grace’s collar so hard that Grace nearly choked, her face turning red.

Lena watched, heart aching, and called out, "Lady Blue Moon, let Grace go! Kevin suddenly fell ill—we have no idea what happened. Why are you blaming Grace?"

"You may not know, but I do! I know it was her!" Grace Wan didn't let go—in fact, she grabbed Grace even harder.
