"Hugo!" Molly Yun saw Hugo running toward her, immediately crouched down and hugged him tightly, rubbing his furry head hard. "Where did you go? I was so worried about you!"
Eric Jiang explained, "Hugo came to us covered in wounds and struggled to lead us to the altar. We wanted him to keep searching with us, but he suddenly developed a high fever and collapsed. I had to leave two people to take care of him while we came to find you."
"Hugo!" Molly Yun saw the wound on Hugo's back. Although it had been treated and cleaned, the gash was still shocking to see.
It was clear at a glance what price Hugo had paid to save her.
Molly Yun's heart ached. Ignoring Hugo's enthusiasm, she hugged him gently and said, "Thank you, Hugo! Mommy loves you so much!"
Hugo was overjoyed, his eyes squinting, mouth stretched wide in a smile as he wagged his tail with all his might.
He loved Mommy so much too!
Mommy coming back safe was the best thing ever!
The group rested thoroughly at the edge of the Primal Jungle before finally saying their goodbyes.
Eric Jiang took Molly Yun and Hugo back to China. Cici Grant went with Charles Yin to Hans's Training Base, returned the people as promised, and then spent some time at the base, waiting for Rona Muir and Jiro Hirayama to come back.
That's right, besides Charles Yin, the biggest winner on this trip was Jiro Hirayama.
This mad scientist excitedly transplanted the Man-Eater Tree into one of Hans's small bases, and now he circles it every day, either shaving off bark for experiments or plucking leaves for research.
Later, whenever the tree saw Jiro Hirayama from afar, it would start trembling, its branches and leaves rustling in fear.
It used to be so arrogant!
In that forest, it was the king!
Every creature would avoid it, and if it got upset, it would just roll over and eat them!
But ever since it met Jiro Hirayama, its plant life finally met its nemesis—no, its maniac!
It started regretting how outstanding it used to be. If only it had been more ordinary, it wouldn't have been transplanted here.
That's right!
Jiro Hirayama, that crazy guy, wasn't satisfied with just transplanting a sapling. Later, he sent a team of over a hundred people to dig up and transplant the whole thing, roots and all!
On transplant day, Captain Hans came over just to watch the spectacle.
When he saw Jiro Hirayama actually dig up such a huge tree, he almost applauded him!
From then on, his base was even safer!
Who would dare come near now?
The tree would just eat them!
So Jiro Hirayama and Rona Muir stayed at this small base of Hans's, and Hans let Jiro do whatever he wanted. After all, the place was huge and perfect for experiments.
Jiro Hirayama busied himself with experiments while Rona Muir watched for fun and occasionally stirred up trouble. These two are still married—now that's true love!
Eric Jiang and Molly Yun had a layover in Mexico. Because of the weather, their flight was delayed, so they decided to stay a few extra days until the weather cleared up before heading home.
The assistant got the boarding passes and checked all the luggage, and Hugo was sent to the cargo hold.
Eric Jiang held Molly Yun's hand as they prepared to go through security.
"Sorry, sorry." A frail-looking man in a black coat hurried by, carrying a small suitcase. "Excuse me, please."
Eric Jiang pulled Molly Yun aside to let him pass. The man immediately stopped, nodded politely to thank them.
He wore a British-style hat that covered the upper half of his face, revealing only a pale chin.
Judging by his build, he was extremely thin and looked rather unhealthy.
After the man passed, Molly Yun was about to leave with Eric Jiang when she suddenly stopped and turned to look at him.
But in the crowd, the man was already gone.
"Molly, what's wrong?" Eric Jiang asked with concern. "Are you feeling unwell?"
Molly Yun withdrew her gaze and hesitated. "That man just now... he..."
"What is it?" Eric Jiang looked at her in confusion.
"It's nothing. I just feel like I've seen that figure somewhere before." Molly Yun thought hard for a moment. "Maybe I'm just being too sensitive. It's fine, let's go!"
Only then did Eric Jiang gently hold Molly Yun's hand and walk her to their boarding gate.
The man who brushed past Molly Yun walked to one side of the airport, where someone greeted him respectfully and handed him a suitcase. "Mr. Yiran, here's what you asked for."
"Thank you very much." The man's pale fingers took the suitcase and handed his own to the other person. "Pleasure doing business."
"Looking forward to working with you again." The other person, delighted, accepted the small suitcase from Mr. Yiran and whispered, "Inside are a set of house keys and a car key from our boss. Please accept them."
"Thank you." Mr. Yiran nodded, picked up the suitcase, and turned to leave.
Mr. Yiran carried the suitcase, calmly passed security and customs, and arrived at the boarding gate.
From a distance, he saw Molly Yun and Eric Jiang surrounded by bodyguards, ready to board.
A faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. "Molly Yun, we'll meet again!"
With that, he pulled his hat lower and calmly boarded at another gate.
Before boarding, Molly Yun called home to report she was safe, then leaned comfortably against Eric Jiang.
"Molly, why do you insist on taking a connecting flight home? I could've sent my own plane from home." Eric Jiang never understood this. "That way, Hugo could've flown with us."
Molly Yun lowered her eyes, gazing out the window. "Eric, I just feel something's off. Our return was way too smooth. If we chartered a plane, we'd be too obvious. Taking a commercial flight is actually safer."

"What is it?" Eric Jiang raised an eyebrow. "Are you suspicious of the High Priest?"
"Yes." Molly Yun nodded. "This person is very good at psychological tactics, adapts quickly, and lies easily. Cici nearly fell for him that day. He's too cunning. He worked so hard to trick Cici and me; why would he give up so easily? Even if Charles Yin threatened him, it's not like he'd surrender that fast. I just think his surrender was way too convenient, like he was waiting for this chance to let us leave. It's not normal."
Eric Jiang snapped back to attention. "Then we'll be extra careful."
"Mm." Molly Yun nodded. "I'll remind Cici to be careful. As the wife of the Yin Group's CEO, she's too much of a target."
At that moment, Molly Yun was so worried about Cici Grant that she didn't realize the real target was never Cici—it was her all along!
It took Molly Yun and Eric Jiang two days to finally make it back to China.
Hugo was going crazy from being cooped up, and when he saw Molly Yun, he ran to her with pure joy.
Molly Yun hugged Hugo tightly. "Alright, Hugo, be good. We're finally home—no more adventures!"
Only then did Hugo calm down, lying quietly on his owner's shoulder like a well-behaved baby.
Eric Jiang shook his head with a helpless smile. "I called a vet for Hugo. It's better to get him checked thoroughly."
Molly Yun nodded. "Yes, he really should get a full checkup!"
"And you!" Eric Jiang pulled Molly Yun over. "You need a thorough checkup too. Even though your leg's healed, be careful not to leave a scar!"
"Got it, Mr. Butler!" Molly Yun replied affectionately.
Time flew by, and a week passed in a flash.
Eric Jiang stayed with her the whole week, and only after making sure Molly Yun was completely fine did he allow her to go out.
With the bosses of Danni Cosmetics all away, Molly Yun, the deputy, became the backbone of the company.
Many people came to Molly Yun for decisions about the company.
Molly Yun couldn't help but video call Cici Grant and Rona Muir to complain that both bosses were leaving her to handle everything.
Cici told her she'd need a while before coming back and asked Molly to hang in there!
Rona Muir was even worse—she actually showed off her latest hunting trophy in the video!
So unfair!
Molly Yun took up the heavy burden of the company, running around nonstop.
That afternoon, Molly Yun's scheduled client canceled, so she finally had a free lunch break to rest.
"Vice President Yun," the secretary knocked. "Why don't you take a break? There's so much work piled up lately, even three heads and six arms couldn't finish it all."
Molly Yun glanced at her watch. "Alright, I'll head home first. Call me if you need anything."
The secretary smiled and nodded.
Driving home, Molly Yun wondered what to have for dinner.
Lost in thought, Molly Yun suddenly saw someone ahead collapse onto the road.
Molly Yun slammed on the brakes!
She stopped just an arm's length away from the person.
That was close!
She almost got scammed!
Molly Yun quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, got out of the car, and walked over to see a man in a black trench coat lying unconscious on the road.
Molly Yun immediately took out her phone to record a video, proving she hadn't hit him, then cautiously approached. "Sir? Sir, are you alright? Do you need me to call an ambulance?"
Maybe he heard Molly Yun's voice, because he finally responded, his voice oddly hoarse. "Sorry to trouble you, could you call an ambulance? I promise, I collapsed on my own—it had nothing to do with you."
Molly Yun's face flushed with embarrassment.
She really couldn't help it.
There are just too many scammers these days.
Since he said that, she couldn't refuse, so she called for an ambulance.
Just as Molly Yun was about to leave, the man grabbed her wrist. "Sorry, could you come with me to the hospital? My family isn't here."
