Swish! Before the Immeasura Palace Lord and Frank Doyle could leave, a figure landed right in front of them.
The Immeasura Palace Lord immediately felt an overwhelming, boundless pressure suffocating her, to the point she could barely breathe.
The newcomer appeared to be an ordinary man in plain clothes, but the Immeasura Palace Lord instantly recognized him. She quickly bowed, "Faye Immeasura greets Senior Dominic Du."
She might have ignored Morgan Du, but she dared not show the slightest disrespect to Dominic Du. Though she had never met him before, she knew clearly that this man was the number one cultivator of the Five Elements Universe—Dominic Du.
Only the top cultivator of the Five Elements Universe could exert such a terrifying, crushing aura. Frank Doyle, who saved her earlier, might be nearly as powerful as Dominic Du, but now the Immeasura Palace Lord suspected he wasn't truly from the Five Elements Universe—his oppressive aura was far less intense.
Still, she couldn’t be certain. After all, leaving the Five Elements Universe was no easy feat. The legendary Gate of Destiny was the only way out, but how often did it open?
No matter how powerful her Dao, it was still derived from the Five Elements Universe. If Morgan Du was the one who mastered the laws of the Five Elements Universe to their extreme, then the man before her was a being who had evolved alongside its cosmic laws.
Dominic Du glanced at the Immeasura Palace Lord. "Not bad. You entered the Gate of Destiny and still managed to return. Once I find Joe Di, I’ll speak with you again."
After saying this, Dominic Du turned his gaze to the Fat Wanderer.
Frank Doyle chuckled and said, "Dominic Du, you might not be able to catch up to him this time."
"Whether I catch up or not, I must pursue him," Dominic Du said without hesitation. Lately, this issue had weighed heavily on his mind, even affecting his Dao.
The Fat Wanderer nodded. "I didn't chase him just now. With that kid's strength, he'll realize in a dozen breaths that I stopped pursuing. So, if you're lucky and he lets his guard down, you might have a chance."
With that, the Fat Wanderer pointed to a direction in the void.
"Alright." Dominic Du turned and vanished instantly. The Immeasura Palace Lord drew a sharp breath, finally understanding what true speed was.
No matter how fast Joe Di was, he was still far slower than Dominic Du. As long as Dominic Du sensed even the faintest trace of Joe Di, escape would be impossible.
"Your escape technique is the fastest I’ve seen. If your strength matched that old Dominic Du, your speed would surpass his..." Gavin Strider said blandly.
Though she’d only met Joe Di a few times, his cunning was deeply etched in her memory. If Joe Di were so careless, he would never have survived until now.
"Why are you chasing me? Is it just to tell me you’re still alive?" Joe Di said coolly to Gavin Strider.
Dominic Du didn’t just stop after a dozen breaths—he knew he had once again completely lost track of Joe Di.
"Give me your Black Lethe Bridge, and I’ll let you reincarnate," Gavin Strider said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, brooking no argument.
What made Joe Di’s scalp tingle was that no matter how far he fled, he always felt as if someone was subtly pursuing him. Yet when he swept his divine sense out, he sensed nothing at all.
Joe Di pushed his Lawstride technique to the limit, but it was useless. Even after shaking off that shadowy feeling, after a while, it would catch up to him again.
Joe Di took a deep breath. He was sure there must be some kind of mark on him; otherwise, he wouldn’t feel this way.
A chill flashed in Gavin Strider’s eyes as he glared at Joe Di. "I, Gavin Strider, have never met such an arrogant ant as you. Today, I’ll see just how much arrogance you can back up."
Could it be the Immeasura Palace Lord? Joe Di immediately shook his head. She was even less likely to have marked him. Right now, she was barely clinging to life after being beaten by him—Joe Di honestly didn’t care about her at all. Her real power lay not in her strength, but in her Nirvana Mirror.
The blade’s arc tore through the void, unleashing a wild killing intent that enveloped Gavin Strider. In that instant, Gavin Strider felt his domain shatter piece by piece. His eyes widened in shock—a single strike from this junior could rip apart his domain. What kind of cultivation technique was this?
Bang! Joe Di landed on an abandoned void planet, and that faint tracking sensation vanished. But Joe Di knew all too well that before long, the shadow chasing him would return.
Joe Di decided to search himself thoroughly, leaving no place unchecked. He cultivated his own Grand Way and forged his own rules; one day, he’d create his own world. How could he not know if someone marked him? If he truly didn’t, then there was something wrong with his Dao.
Before Joe Di could find any problem on himself, that feeling of being pursued returned once again.
This time, Joe Di didn’t move. Since he’d have to face it sooner or later and couldn’t escape for now, he decided to see exactly what was wrong.
In just a few breaths, a gray figure landed opposite Joe Di.
He was a tall, thin young man, looking no older than Joe Di. Yet the Dao resonance swirling around him was so profound that even Joe Di couldn’t glean the slightest clue.
Like Joe Di, this young man carried his artifact on his back—a halfmoon ring suspended behind him. It looked odd, almost as if he were a farmer heading up the mountain to chop wood.
Joe Di let out a sigh of relief—this guy hadn’t stepped into the Third Step, so he clearly wasn’t Dominic Du. If he wasn’t Dominic Du, what was there to fear? The opponent was just at the peak of Dao Fusion, same as him. If he’d known, he wouldn’t have bothered fleeing. Against those of his own realm, Joe Di feared no one.

"Your escape technique is the fastest I’ve seen. If your strength matched that old Dominic Du, your speed would surpass his..." the gray-clad youth said blandly.
As soon as he spoke, Joe Di realized who he was—no wonder he’d been tracked so relentlessly.
"Why are you chasing me? Is it just to tell me you’re still alive?" Joe Di said coolly.
He was sure Dominic Du had tried to kill this man, yet he’d survived. That was no small feat.
"Give me your Lethe Bridge, and I’ll let you reincarnate," the gray-clad youth said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, brooking no argument.
Joe Di snorted with laughter. "Who do you think you are? Not only do you show no gratitude, you want to take your benefactor’s treasure. You must be a born ingrate—a pig or a dog... Oh, sorry, I shouldn’t insult pigs and dogs."
"You recognized me?" The gray-clad youth stared at Joe Di in surprise, then instinctively looked himself over, wondering how Joe Di had identified him.
Joe Di burst out laughing. "Even if I toss a bone to my dog, it knows to guard the house. Pity that when Old Master Di tossed you a bone, you learned to bite your master instead."
A chill flashed in the gray-clad youth’s eyes as he glared at Joe Di. "I, Gu Bu Ren, have never met such an arrogant ant as you. Today, I’ll see just how much arrogance you can back up."
Joe Di didn’t wait for him to attack. His Azure Veil Blade was already in hand, and he slashed down. "Enough with the chatter. You’ve been tailing Old Master Di long enough—take a taste of my blade first!"
The blade’s arc tore through the void, unleashing a wild killing intent that enveloped Gu Bu Ren. In that instant, Gu Bu Ren felt his domain shatter piece by piece. His eyes widened in shock—a single strike from this junior could rip apart his domain. What kind of cultivation technique was this?
