The Lucky Star Is Me
"Is there something you need?" the Celestial Emperor asked.
"I have something to say," Grace replied.
"Whatever you have to say, save it for later! This is the Sacrificial Hall—how dare you act so brazenly here!" the Celestial Empress said sternly.
"But what I have to say is important—it can't wait!" Grace insisted.
The Celestial Empress waved her hand, ready to make Grace disappear.
But the Celestial Emperor reached out, gently taking the Empress's hand with a smile. His tone was soft as he said, "Qingke, this child is so anxious—she must have something important to report. Let's hear her out."
The Celestial Empress, with her hand held so tenderly by the Emperor, found herself unable to argue.
Grace bowed and said, "Your Majesty the Celestial Emperor, Your Highness the Celestial Empress, and all honored gods present. The Lucky Star is not High Goddess Sophie Shang."
"What do you mean by that?" Priestess Sun Drake frowned. "Are you saying you can interpret the hexagrams better than we can?"
"I can't interpret hexagrams," Grace replied. "But I know who the Lucky Star is."
"Oh?" The Celestial Emperor looked surprised. "Then tell me—who is the Lucky Star, and how do you know?"
"If there really is a so-called Lucky Star, then that Lucky Star must be me!" Grace declared. "Because I can restore the King's Spirit Tree and bring back the Nine Divine Waters!"
Her words were outrageously arrogant.
The gods of Drake Abyss had spent years searching high and low, exhausting every effort, yet none of them had succeeded. And here she was, saying it as if it were nothing.
But her words were also deeply shocking.
All the gods stared at her in silence.
After a long moment, the Celestial Emperor asked gravely, "Do you realize the consequences of boasting in front of the gods of Drake Abyss?"
Grace thought for a moment, then asked uncertainly, "Probably total annihilation of my spirit, right?"
The Celestial Emperor took a deep breath and nodded. "As long as you understand! Now, do you still insist you can restore the King's Spirit Tree and revive the Nine Divine Waters?"
Grace answered with two words: "I can!"
The Celestial Emperor glanced at Evan Xiao.
But Evan Xiao's expression hadn't changed at all.
Clearly, this guy already knew something—and he even kept it from his own father!
The Celestial Emperor took a deep breath and said, "Fine. Then tell us—how do you plan to do it?"
But Grace flashed a cheeky smile and asked, "Before I reveal my method, may I ask, Your Majesty—if I really solve the crisis in Drake Abyss, will you reward me?"
"Of course! If you can truly accomplish it, whatever you want—the Celestial Emperor will grant it!"
"Great! Then I hope Your Majesty can promise me one thing!"
"What is it?"
"It's not worth saying what it is right now. Let's wait until I actually succeed," Grace said. "All I need is your promise not to refuse me when the time comes."
"This..." The Celestial Emperor felt like he was being set up.
"Rest assured, Your Majesty! My request will definitely be within your power, and I won't make things too difficult for you."
"Alright, I promise you," the Celestial Emperor said.
Grace nodded and said, "Then, may I ask Your Majesty the Celestial Emperor and Crown Prince Evan Xiao to bring weapons capable of slaying Fiends, and come with me to the King's Spirit Tree!"
"What did you say? Slay Fiends?" The Celestial Emperor's eyes narrowed.
"That's right!"
"Explain yourself! What Fiends? What do you mean?" the Celestial Empress frowned.
"You'll know exactly what Fiends I'm talking about when you see them yourself, Your Highness," Grace said. "Let's go!"
"Alright! Let's move!" With the Emperor's command, everyone headed for the King's Spirit Tree.
All the gods watched Grace, their eyes filled with doubt and suspicion.
"Your Majesty, Crown Prince Evan Xiao, do you see the branch I marked?" Grace pointed at the tree.
Both men nodded, indicating they saw it.
That was one of the main branches of the King's Spirit Tree.
