"Elder Jun, to be honest, the only reason the three of us disciples managed to reach the Profound Immortal realm is entirely thanks to little Song's help. You really took in an incredible disciple!" Elder Faye Moon said with a smile, then went on to recount their experiences after ascending to the Immortal World.
As Elder Faye Moon described those difficult days, Elder Gideon Skyreach deeply empathized. The hardships of the Immortal World far surpassed their imagination. Even before ascending, they had known surviving in the Immortal World wouldn’t be easy.
But after arriving in the Immortal World, they realized surviving here was a hundred times harder than they’d imagined.
Back then, Elder Gideon and his fellow elders put everything into nurturing Ian Song—first, because of his heaven-defying talent, and second, hoping that after ascending, he could build a foundation in the Immortal World for Phoenix Heaven Church, at least giving future disciples a safe place to land.
Looking back now, it was absolutely the right move—and the outcome went far beyond anything they’d expected.
The fact that Ian could help Elder Faye Moon and the others reach Profound Immortal in just a few years says it all.
Before ascending, Elder Gideon had dreamed of reaching Profound Immortal himself.
But after coming to the Immortal World, he never thought it would be possible for him to become a Profound Immortal.
Forget Profound Immortal—even Golden Immortal was beyond his reach.
After reminiscing for a while.
Ian shifted the topic and said to Elder Gideon, "Master, please take me to see Elder Bloodsun. I have miraculous healing medicine with me!"
"Wait here a moment, I'll go see if Elder Bloodsun has finished his seclusion!"
Elder Gideon nodded, got up, and walked toward the other room.
A short while later, Elder Gideon returned with Elder Bloodsun.
Right now, Elder Bloodsun looked extremely weak. His injuries were so severe that even his cultivation had dropped to early-stage Human Immortal.
"It really is you all!"
Seeing Ian and the others, Elder Bloodsun’s eyes grew moist, and he looked visibly moved.
"Cough, cough!"
Suddenly, Elder Bloodsun started coughing violently.
"Elder Bloodsun."
Ian quickly stepped forward, reached out to support him, and channeled a stream of Radiance of Life into his body.
The Radiance of Life instantly healed most of Elder Bloodsun’s injuries.
Then Ian took out an Immortal Pill and handed it to Elder Bloodsun. "Elder Bloodsun, take this quickly!"
"Thank you, little Song!"
Elder Bloodsun said gratefully, then accepted the pill and swallowed it.
The pill’s effects were beyond imagination. In just a few breaths, all of Elder Bloodsun’s injuries were healed. Even more, only half the medicinal power was used up, and his cultivation was restored to mid-stage Human Immortal.
"Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!"
Seeing Elder Bloodsun fully healed, Elder Gideon couldn’t help but cheer repeatedly.
Seeing the timing was right, Ian stated his purpose for coming: "Master, Elder Bloodsun, I’ve taken over a city elsewhere. You should come with me!"
"This..."
Elder Gideon couldn’t help but show a hint of hesitation.
"Is something troubling you, Master?" Ian asked quickly.
Elder Gideon hesitated and said, "Disciple, we’ve made some Immortal friends in Thousandmount Town. Life here has been tough for everyone. Since you’ve taken over a city, could you bring them along too?"
Ian laughed, "Is that all? Such a small matter—just leave it to me, Master!"
"Excellent! But before we leave, let’s pay our respects to Elder Nathan Chen." Elder Gideon said, his expression turning somber at the mention of Nathan Chen.
Elder Gideon had mentioned Nathan Chen before. During the Monster Calamity a few years back, Elder Nathan Chen was swallowed whole by a monster, so all they could do was build a memorial grave for him.
It was at least something to remember him by.
Then Elder Gideon’s mood returned to normal. He said to Elder Bloodsun, "Old Blood, I’ll take them to pay respects to Old Nathan. You go gather our Immortal friends and ask if they’re willing to come with us!"
"Don’t worry, given the chance to leave this wretched place, who would want to stay?" Elder Bloodsun laughed.
Suddenly, Elder Gideon thought of something and blushed, "Oh, and don’t forget to notify Immortal Hannah Huang!"
