A thousand years inside the tower, at least twenty years outside.
That’s still a bit too long. Evan Yang didn’t want to wait twenty years before making a move against Second Young Master Fenn.
So in the days that followed, Evan spent his time playing and chatting with the guards, gathering information about the Feng Family. None of them noticed that this 'mortal' had memorized everything they said.
Just like that, a year went by.
One day, Second Young Master Fenn found the guard and asked, "Well? Is it done yet?"
"Young Master, that guy—whether it’s on purpose or just coincidence—always messes up at the crucial moment when brewing, or shuts the door." The guard replied awkwardly.
"Does he know you’re spying on him?" Second Young Master Fenn asked suspiciously.
"I’m not sure about that," the guard shook his head.
"If that’s the case, you don’t need to supervise him anymore. There’s a new problem, and I need him to handle it." Second Young Master Fenn sighed.
"What problem?" the guard asked, puzzled.
"The family knows I recruited the Wine Immortal’s disciple, so they want me to bring him to the clan for a look," Second Young Master Fenn said.
"Seriously? The family even cares about this?" the guard muttered.
"How could they not? He’s the one brewing all the wine. If he actually succeeds and everyone drinks it, and there’s poison in it, who takes responsibility?" Second Young Master Fenn hadn’t been too happy about it, but when someone put it that way, he couldn’t stay calm.
The guard thought it made sense. If something really went wrong, or if that guy’s recipe was flawed, everyone would be in trouble. That would be no joke.
"So, have him get ready. Tomorrow, he’s coming with me to the family estate," Second Young Master Fenn said.
The guard nodded.
Evan hadn’t expected the Feng Family to want to see him, but with his current body, no one would recognize him as Evan Yang. He wasn’t worried at all.
When the guard told him, Evan pretended to be surprised, putting on a shocked face. "No way!" he exclaimed.
"So make sure you’re ready tomorrow. Don’t mess anything up," the guard told Evan.
Evan nodded, but secretly thought, "At least this means I won’t be watched anymore."
Evan overheard everything the guard told Second Young Master Fenn—otherwise, he’d still be under guard surveillance.
He’d originally planned to get the Tyrant Seal Art from Second Young Master, but now he could only wait. He didn’t know Second Young Master’s true strength, and if he acted rashly, his cover would be blown. Besides, brewing high-grade wine wasn’t something that happened overnight.
So, until he was confident, Evan kept calm and decided to follow Second Young Master Fenn to the headquarters.
The next day, Second Young Master Fenn brought a group of guards and Evan to the headquarters.
The Feng Family headquarters was in the most prosperous part of the planet—a huge manor that could rival a large city.
Just stepping inside, you could tell it was no ordinary place. Evan’s divine sense could barely cover the whole manor.
There were patrol squads all around, inside and out—at least tens of thousands by rough estimate, each one pretty formidable.
Some squad captains were even at the Spirit-God Realm. Seeing their powerful aura and how they guarded against outsiders, Evan couldn’t help but think, "If the squad captains are this strong, how powerful must the main captains be?"
Thinking Evan was intimidated, Second Young Master Fenn laughed, "Come on, I’ll show you the strength of the top clan."
Evan smiled, "Yes, Second Young Master."
As everyone walked into the manor, Evan saw all sorts of different zones. If he didn’t have divine sense, he wasn’t sure he wouldn’t get lost.
On the way, a guard beside Second Young Master Fenn explained things to Evan. It was dizzying, but he memorized every place and their purpose.
Neither Second Young Master nor the guards had any idea Evan had infiltrated the Feng Family—and that it was them who brought him in.
"Why isn’t anyone flying up there?" Evan asked casually.
"Flying in the air is forbidden. If you try, the consequences are serious," the guard said.
"How serious?" Evan pretended to be curious.
"There are formations in the sky—extremely powerful. They can shred people. But you wouldn’t understand what a formation is anyway," the guard said, bored.
Evan acted half-understanding and kept following them.
After about half an hour, they finally arrived at a large hall.
"A waiting room?" Evan muttered when he saw the hall was just a place for people to wait.
"Alright, you all stay here with him and wait. I’m going to meet those guys," Second Young Master Fenn said.
The guards followed orders and led Evan into the hall. There were plenty of seats, so Evan and the others found a spot and sat down to wait.
Meanwhile, Evan used his divine sense and Thousand-Mile Echo to follow Second Young Master, wanting to see what he was up to.
Second Young Master made his way past several palace-like buildings and arrived at a place called Feng God Hall.
Inside were many seats, but only two people were sitting there. One was an older man, dignified and imposing; the other was much younger, but his aura was completely different.
When Second Young Master Fenn saw them, he said, "You’re here early."
"Second Brother, Second Elder Brother," the two greeted him in unison.
Second Young Master walked over and sat down. Soon, a maid came up and served tea.
"Big Brother, Third Brother, you called me back so urgently—not just to see the Wine Immortal’s disciple, right?" Second Young Master asked skeptically.
The older man laughed, "It’s been ages since the three of us got together. We wanted to meet up—and, incidentally, see your Wine Immortal disciple."
"Exactly, Second Brother," the young man said.
"Gather? What’s so great about gathering?" Second Young Master Fenn said irritably.
"Second Brother, you’re not still upset about Grandpa’s decision, are you?" the older man asked suspiciously.
"What do you think?" Second Young Master Fenn glared at him, then glanced at the young man.
The young man knew exactly what his brother meant.
"Second Brother, if you need, I’ll talk to Grandpa and have him assign Captain Six to you," the young man offered.
"Forget it. You still have to find your fiancée—I wouldn’t dare take him. If you can’t find her, everyone will blame me," Second Young Master Fenn said sarcastically.

"Second Brother, you—!" The young man hated when anyone brought up his fiancée. It was his greatest frustration: he could have married Ye Chen, but on the wedding day, she was kidnapped.
The whole Feng Family was shaken by the incident. If the higher-ups hadn’t suppressed it, he’d have chopped up everyone badmouthing him by now.
"Don’t get mad, I’m just asking—do you need help, or was the guy who kidnapped your fiancée just too powerful?" Second Young Master Fenn laughed.
It was clearly Ye Chen who didn’t want to marry, but it became Evan Yang who kidnapped her. Evan couldn’t figure it out—in reality, this was just the idea of Third Young Master Fenn, the young man from earlier.
He didn’t want anyone to know his fiancée had betrayed him, so he claimed someone kidnapped Miss Ye. Only those he truly trusted knew the truth.
As for Second Young Master and First Young Master, they had no idea what really happened.
"No need. He’s dead," the young man said, in a foul mood—especially since he still hadn’t found Ye Chen, which drove him crazy every day.
"Dead? That fast? When did it happen?" Second Young Master pretended not to know, though he’d already heard the news: the man who kidnapped Second Young Master’s fiancée had been injured by Captain Five in Hundred-Change Valley and pushed into Death Lake.
"You—!" Third Young Master Fenn was so angry his face turned red.
"Enough, you two. We’re all Feng Family—why are you arguing?" First Young Master Fenn quickly intervened.
The two fell silent, but their complaints remained. All they could do was curse inwardly.
Seeing them quiet down, First Young Master Fenn sighed, "Let’s go see the Wine Immortal’s disciple."
Second Young Master Fenn got up and walked ahead, the other two followed.
When they reached the waiting room, Evan and the others were already there.
"So he’s the Wine Immortal’s disciple?" Third Young Master Fenn sized up Evan, then laughed, with a hint of mockery.
"Ian Wood, come here, let me introduce you," Second Young Master said, a little displeased.
Evan got up and walked over to them.
Suddenly, Third Young Master Fenn punched him. Evan went flying, crashing into a chair—his hand was broken.
"What’s that supposed to mean!" Second Young Master Fenn shouted angrily.
No one expected Third Young Master Fenn to attack. Evan was also curious why he did—had his cover been blown? He wondered to himself.
Third Young Master Fenn withdrew his hand and said, "I was just worried someone might sneak into the Feng Family, so I tested him to see if he really had a mortal body."
"You—!" Second Young Master Fenn growled.
"Big Brother, tell me—don’t we have strict standards for recruiting in the Feng Family? I was just helping Second Brother check him, is that wrong?" Third Young Master Fenn said, taking out his anger on Evan and trying to save face after Second Young Master’s harsh words.
If Evan didn’t know what was going on, he’d be banging his head against the wall. He cursed inwardly, "This Third Young Master looks handsome, but damn, he hits hard."
Second Young Master Fenn snorted and went to Evan’s side, helping him up. After tending to Evan’s broken hand, it was restored, but Evan kept acting, "It hurts so much, I wonder if it’ll affect my brewing."
Everyone knew what he meant. Second Young Master Fenn was furious, "Third Brother, if anything happens to him, you and I are not done."
"I already said, it was just a check—I didn’t hit hard. Otherwise, would he still be standing?" Third Young Master Fenn replied, completely unafraid.
"Third Brother, you really—there are gentler ways. Why use such harsh methods?" First Young Master Fenn sighed.
"This way is fastest—and most effective," Third Young Master Fenn answered.
"Hmph, don’t think Grandpa will protect you so you can do whatever you want," Second Young Master Fenn snapped.
Third Young Master Fenn shot back, "I’m not messing around. Like I said, recruiting in the Feng Family always requires checks—especially for this brewer. If there’s a problem with the wine, who takes responsibility?"
Second Young Master Fenn was furious—just as the two were about to fight, First Young Master Fenn shouted, "Will you two knock it off already!"
