One Palm

2/14/2026

Walter Shang surged forward, wrapped in massive, tidal waves of force.

Dark clouds pressed down over the city.

Under that sky full of raging force, Evan Lin seemed to everyone else like a mere speck in the ocean—so insignificant that Walter Shang could crush him at any moment.

"May you traverse the Yellow Springs, and remember what 'worth' truly means."

Evan Lin's voice echoed between heaven and earth.

Walter Shang was already upon him, bringing with him the flickering phantom behind his back, smashing straight toward Evan's position.

Evan Lin planted one foot on the ground and vaulted straight into the clouds.

In the eyes of the crowd, it seemed Evan had been blasted skyward by the terrifying force Walter Shang carried—and wherever Walter landed, the ground instantly collapsed five meters deep!

A massive crater opened on the ground, dust billowing everywhere.

Walter Shang suddenly raised his head, eyes wild, staring fiercely at the heights above.

He burst out laughing, not hesitating for a second, leaping upward: "Do you really think hiding in the sky will let you survive?"

With the sun at his back, Master Lin from Seacrest's figure plummeted, sending chills through everyone's heart.

"I want you dead!"

Walter Shang's figure shot upward at incredible speed.

He stomped the ground, sending out a shockwave so strong that nearby people couldn't keep their footing and collapsed one after another.

"That's terrifying!"

"With just a flick of his hand, the Shang patriarch could probably split a mountain!"

Even from far away, everyone around could still feel the terrifying pressure Walter Shang brought.

That feeling weighed so heavily on their hearts, some could barely breathe.

Everyone craned their necks, staring up at the sky.

Above, two figures hung in the air.

One was Master Lin from Seacrest rising skyward; the other, Walter Shang, chasing relentlessly after him!

"In midair—even if Master Lin's sorcery is profound, there's nowhere left to run!"

"He's doomed for sure, but honestly, he's terrifyingly strong. Forcing Walter Shang to this point—even if he dies, that's enough for him to be proud!"

Watching this scene, many people shook their heads.

They figured Master Lin was trying to use the sky to escape for now, waiting for Walter Shang's pill effects to wear off before making another move.

But now, it looked like Master Lin's ascent was slowing, and he was about to start falling back down.

Right below him, Walter Shang was rushing up to meet him head-on.

At this point, the sky offered no escape, and the ground held no refuge—where else could he run?

It was obviously a death trap.

"Watch me break every bone in your body!"

Walter Shang wore a savage grin, killing intent surging, his eyes locked onto Evan above.

Evan looked down, watching Walter Shang close in, his face blank. He stretched out one hand, and faint white light began to glow in his palm.

Spiritual qi gathered in his palm, weaving into intricate patterns. The power and energy merged together, all contained within that single hand.

In that instant, the world went silent. The white clouds froze, and the breeze faded away.

Everyone suddenly felt a strange illusion.

They stared at the youth in midair, who should have been falling fast, but somehow he stood steady, unmoving in the void.

He stepped forward, crossing a white cloud. From his palm, streams of white flame spread outward.

The youth looked down; in his eyes, all beneath him were mere ants and dust.

In his palm, spiritual qi condensed and formed, transforming into a gigantic spiritual qi hand.

From afar, the palm was a full ten meters across.

It was as pure as white jade, shining brilliantly in the sunlight.

In that moment, an overwhelming aura erupted from the youth's body.

A terrifying wave of power shook the air, sending dust swirling everywhere.

"One palm gives life and death."

Evan spoke softly, then flipped his right hand and slapped down toward the rapidly rising Walter Shang.

The wind surged, the clouds finally moved.

Its force was like a hidden dragon bursting from the sea, shattering heaven and earth.

The surging power swept like a tidal wave, so terrifying that within moments, grass and trees bent, the ground fractured, and buildings shook across ten li.

Before the palm even landed, its momentum arrived first.

Everyone's face changed. Ben Liang stared blankly at the sky, at the youth descending like a god to earth.

With the sun at his back, Evan's figure plummeted, sending chills through everyone's heart.

"Die for me!"

Walter Shang roared, his heart full of terror, but with no way to turn back now.

As he shouted, the phantom behind him surged with force, finally colliding with the descending youth's palm.

The terrifying energy flame and the shining ten-meter giant palm crashed together in an instant.

In the span of a single breath.

There was no earth-shaking explosion as expected.

Walter Shang's terrifying power didn't even put up a fight. Before everyone's eyes, his massive body was enveloped by the white jade palm and pressed straight down from the sky.

Looking closely—

Walter Shang's power didn't fade—it still circled around him, morphing into blades, spears, and staves as he struggled desperately under the palm.

The terrifying phantom behind him also screamed wildly, hammering the white jade palm with crazed force.

Yet no matter how they fought—

The palm's downward force never weakened.

Moments later—

The palm landed.

Walter Shang was pinned hard to the ground beneath the palm.

Time seemed to pause for a moment.

Then came Walter Shang's sharp, agonized screams.

The sound lingered, chilling every heart.

Everyone felt a chill at the core of their hearts.

The Liang patriarch's face was ashen; he couldn't utter a single word.

Ben Liang looked at the youth and felt an urge to kneel.

Sisi Shao moved to Old Liu's side, supporting him as he stared in shock and confusion. Her own face was equally stunned.

Gaoyang Duan had woken up, but couldn't break free from the chains. He stared dumbly at the scene before him.

The palm landed, the force rose.

A series of dull booms echoed in everyone's ears.

"What's that sound?!"

Someone cried out in terror.

Everyone was shocked and fearful.

Before long.

The dull booms grew more frequent.

When they turned to look, they suddenly saw spiderweb cracks spreading up from the base of every wall in the Shang compound, stretching higher and higher.

Those cracks grew bigger and bigger, turning into giant fissures that destroyed all the steel and concrete inside the houses.

Boom!

As the first building collapsed, the rest went down one after another—whole rows of towers toppled, smashing into the ground and sending rubble flying.

Evan Lin turned to look at the Shang family villa, at the cowering Shang clansmen.

Just one glance.

Over a hundred qi-condensed swords formed around him, sweeping down toward the estate in every direction.
