"Redface Beauty Chicory," Lucy said. "It grows alongside the Soulbane Vine and is its natural nemesis."
"Where can we find it?"
"I know where. Come with me."
The two of them returned to the Spirit Alliance.
The Spirit Alliance is based in the New Divine Realm.
Here, there is a Portal Array that links directly to the Three Divine Realms and the Elderworld.
They entered the Elderworld from the New Divine Realm.
The Elderworld was originally a shattered god-realm.
Two hundred thousand years ago, someone came from the Otherworld.
He opened the passage between the New Divine Realm and the Elderworld.
The Black-and-White Origin Lotus’s primordial energy flowed in, repairing the shattered world, and the Elderworld gradually stabilized and came alive again.
All three Divine Realms assigned specialists to manage and restore the ancient Elder God Manors in the Elderworld.
The place Lucy led him to was one such Elder God Manor.
She had once seen a revived Redface Beauty Chicory there.
In ancient times, Soulbane Vines were used as guardian plants, so most Elder God Manors would have them," Lucy explained to Sean. "That means, if you’re looking for Redface Beauty Chicory, these Elder God Manors are your best bet."
Sean nodded.
Because he didn’t know what Redface Beauty Chicory looked like, he stayed close to Lucy.
Wherever she went, he followed.
He helped her push down the brambles in the overgrown garden to make it easier for her to search.
Suddenly, they heard a strange sound.
Sean frowned and sent Lucy a voice transmission: "Invisibility."
Lucy didn’t know why they needed to be invisible, but she did it anyway.
Both of them had mastered the Demon Beast’s invisibility technique; once cloaked, no one could detect them.
Soon, a couple appeared, wrapped in each other’s arms and flirting as they walked over.
The man was Third Prince Asher Xiao.
And the woman, to Lucy’s surprise, was Lady Hundred Blossoms—the favored Peony Flower Fairy who served beside the Drake Abyss Empress Dowager.
Lucy still remembered her name: Lana Bloom.
Not far from them was a half-collapsed corridor.
Asher pressed Lana against a pillar and started doing things that couldn’t be described.
They could see each other clearly.
Sean quickly turned Lucy around so her back was to them.
Lucy whispered via transmission, "Let’s slip away!"
"Not yet," Sean replied.
"What are you looking at?" Lucy glared at him.
Sean grinned and suddenly covered her ears, saying, "I’m not looking."
"Then let’s go!"
"Lady Hundred Blossoms serves Grandmother, but she’s having an affair with Asher," Sean said. "Grandmother hates this; if we record it, she’ll be removed from her side."
Lucy raised her eyebrow at him: "At the Celestial Emperor’s birthday, she deliberately pointed you out! I saw her little tricks."
"Yeah. She’s their pawn," Sean said.
Lucy glanced up at Sean, about to ask something, only to see him looking down at her, gaze fixed on her lips, eyes full of predatory intent, his breathing slightly quickened.
He kept her ears covered, pulling her head closer, leaning in.
What is he doing?!
Lucy pulled his hand away, about to slip off.
Just then, she overheard the couple talking.
"Baby, do you like this place?" Asher asked Lana.
"Mm… The overall layout is great…" Lady Hundred Blossoms replied.
"I’ve already asked Father Emperor. Once this manor is restored, it’ll be mine. Then it’ll be our private spot!"
Lana laughed, "You’re so naughty! Isn’t playing around in Drake Abyss enough? You even want to open up a manor in the Elderworld just for fun?"
Asher grinned, "Drake Abyss is inconvenient! This place is perfect! We can come and go as we please, and don’t have to worry about being caught!"
