The muscular guy looked at Evan Lin, a cold and mocking smile on his face.
"Hey, why are you dragging the topic back to him again? Aren't you afraid Bella will get annoyed?" a girl teased, laughing.
"Yeah, and even if you ask him, does he even get what you're talking about?"
Another girl finished painting her nails, glanced at Evan Lin, and said, "He probably doesn't even know what the Zhan Family does."
"Just now I asked him where he was going, and when he heard we were headed to the Zhan estate, he said he was going to the Zhan estate too. I'm guessing he just wants to tag along and join the excitement in Harborview."
The way they looked at Evan Lin was full of ridicule.
Bella Bai was just about to speak.
"Master Lin from Seacrest is on the way to the Zhan estate."
Evan Lin suddenly spoke, his voice calm and indifferent.
Hearing this, the group was stunned. They had expected this guy to just stay silent at a moment like this.
"You said Master Lin from Seacrest is heading to the Zhan estate? How would you know?" The guy with glasses raised his eyebrows.
"Talking nonsense." The aloof youth crossed his arms, sitting there and spitting out four words, clearly unimpressed by Evan Lin's claim.
"I bet you're just guessing, right?"
The muscular guy laughed, "Anyway, whether Master Lin from Seacrest goes or not, it's a fifty-fifty shot. You just made a random guess—maybe you'll get lucky and be right."
"Tsk, you sound so sure. Don't tell me you actually know Master Lin from Seacrest?" A girl looked at Evan Lin and pursed her lips.
She finished speaking and didn't wait for Evan Lin to reply, just turned to Bella Bai: "Bella, didn't your big sister say she's coming back to Oceanport this time? Will she also come to Harborview?"
"Yeah, Bella, I heard your sister is doing really well in Hong Kong, and she's super gorgeous. When will you introduce her to us?" The guy with glasses perked up and looked at Bella Bai.
Even the aloof youth sitting in the corner, who usually gave off a cold vibe, now turned to Bella Bai, waiting for her answer.
"My sister... I saw her when I got home, but she's really busy this time, seems like she has something important to do."
Bella Bai shook her head. "As for whether she'll come to Harborview, I honestly don't know."
"If you guys want to meet her, I'll introduce you if there's a chance. But my sister's a bit cold, so you better be mentally prepared."
At this, Bella Bai glanced at Evan Lin and saw that his expression hadn't changed at all, not even getting annoyed by the muscular guy and the others' mockery. That made her secretly breathe a little easier.
Bella Bai herself didn't know why, but she always found her thoughts drifting toward the boy sitting beside her.
"A little cold is fine. As long as we get to meet her, that's already a huge win for us!"
The muscular guy burst out laughing.
The whole group's attention immediately shifted to Bella Bai's older sister—they bombarded her with questions. It wasn't just the guys who were interested; even the girls looked super curious.
Among everyone in the car, when it came to family background, Bella Bai probably had the best.
The Bai family used to be pretty famous around Oceanport, but later fell on hard times and kept a low profile for years.
Even though the Bai family's foundation was still there, they'd been quiet for so long. This time, it was only because a super talented girl appeared that the Bai family shot back into Oceanport's spotlight.
As for the others, their families mostly did business and had some money.
They'd all thought about latching onto other established families—like the Oceanport Zheng Clan or the Oceanport Zhu Clan. Those kinds of families were super attractive to them.
But actually getting into the Zheng or Zhu family's inner circle took layer after layer of screening. Especially now that the Zhengs were at their peak, and even though Faye Zheng seemed easier to talk to, getting close for real was basically impossible.
That's why they all gathered around the seemingly gentle and approachable Bella Bai—hoping that, if the Bai family soared like the Zhengs, their friendship with Bella would bring their own families a ton of benefits.
The car sped along the road.
Stop and go, stop and go.
Normally, it would take at most thirty minutes to get from the airport to the Zhan estate.
But this time, because there were just way too many guests—and too many luxury cars—the thirty-minute drive ended up taking an hour.
In this sea of luxury cars, their stretched Lincoln didn't even stand out that much.
And it wasn't the only stretched Lincoln here, either.
"There are way too many people here this time, huh?"
The muscular guy looked out the car window. "The Ancient-Martial Ma Clan really lives up to its name. They only spread the word for one day, and so many people showed up."
"If you added up all the assets of these people, do you think they could buy up all the land in Jiangsu and Zhejiang?"
The muscular guy gazed outside, feeling both impressed and fired up inside.
The stronger the Ma Clan's pull, the greater the Zhan Family's influence will be in the future. If he could earn the Zhan Family's approval, his own prospects would look even brighter.
"Definitely. The Zhan Family has been established in Harborview for years. Even without the Ma Clan, just their own influence is almost as strong." The guy with glasses nodded.
"By the way, let's stick together later. I wonder if we'll get to see something exciting today."
A girl spoke up, scanning the crowd outside through the window. "With so many cars and so many people, which one is Master Lin from Seacrest?"
"Which one is Master Lin from Seacrest, anyway?"
She looked outside with genuine curiosity, really trying to spot Master Lin from Seacrest.
"Asking us won't help. I've never seen Master Lin from Seacrest, and I don't know what he looks like."
The muscular guy picked up the thread, laughing as he turned to Evan Lin. "Didn't this guy just say Master Lin from Seacrest was on the way?"
"Hey, bro, where is Master Lin from Seacrest now? How much longer until he gets to the Zhan estate?"
As soon as the muscular guy spoke, everyone turned to Evan Lin, their eyes full of amusement and mockery.
All of them were just waiting to see a joke.
"Master Lin from Seacrest is already here."
Evan Lin spoke calmly.
"You've already met him."
"You're just blind."
"But it's normal—mediocre people can't recognize a dragon."
