Dark Immortal World

Yukon Gee, who had already formed a good relationship with Ian Song, was both shocked and secretly pleased. Although the number of pill formulas he comprehended was far fewer than Ian Song, he still ranked highest among the candidates.

Given his connection with Ian Song, if Ian were to choose alchemy attendants, Yukon Gee would have a high chance of being picked.

"Silence!"

With Uncle Yule's stern shout, the noisy hall fell silent.

Ian Song pointed at Yukon Gee and another Profound Immortal, saying, "Brother Ji and he will stay. The rest may leave!"

Hearing this, both Yukon Gee and the Profound Immortal's faces lit up with joy.

The two immediately bowed together:

"Yukon Gee greets the young master!"

"Inkson Yan greets the young master!"

"No need for such formality, please rise!" Ian Song smiled and helped them up.

The others looked at the two with envy, then, urged by Uncle Yule, left the hall.

"Attendants!"

Uncle Yule summoned two attendants from Greenmount Courtyard to settle Yukon Gee and Inkson Yan in, while he led Ian Song to select Dao-Ancestral Artifacts.

Passing through layer after layer of restrictions and formations, Ian Song followed Uncle Yule into a treasure vault.

Seeing thousands of Dao-Ancestral Artifacts inside the vault, Ian Song’s eyes widened in shock. He had never imagined that Ancestor Martin’s vault would contain so many.

Uncle Yule explained with a smile, “Some of these Dao-Ancestral Artifacts were collected by the master over the years, but most were gifts from Ancestral Immortals seeking pills. At the master’s level, these artifacts barely affect his strength, so he stores the useless ones here in the vault.”

Dao-Ancestral Artifacts are extremely precious. Ian Song was sure that any one of these could fetch trillions of immortal stones, with countless people scrambling to buy.

Because the power of Dao-Ancestral Artifacts is truly immense, and the Dao force within them greatly benefits Ancestral Immortal comprehension.

"Young master, what kind of weapon do you prefer?"

Uncle Yule asked.

"Sword!"

Ian Song replied.

With a casual wave, Uncle Yule made more than ten swords float up and appear before Ian, saying:

"These thirteen swords are the finest in the vault, young master. Please choose one!"

"Alright!"

Ian Song picked up and examined each of the thirteen swords, finally selecting a long sword with a simple, pitch-black blade.

Uncle Yule praised, "Young master, you have excellent taste! This sword is the Abyssal Ancient Sword, once the beloved weapon of a Dao-Ancestral sword immortal. After its master fell, the sword came into the hands of our master. However, after the sword cultivator’s death, the sword spirit fell into slumber. If you can awaken the sword spirit, you might inherit that sword immortal’s sword techniques!"

Ian Song didn’t particularly care about that.

After all, the Heavenbreaker Sword Canon he cultivated was already a top-tier immortal manual, and there were plenty of sword techniques in the Divine Temple that rivaled or even surpassed it—even some used by divine beings.

So whether or not he inherited those sword techniques didn’t matter to him. However, only by awakening the sword spirit could he unleash the sword’s true power, so he asked:

"Uncle Yule, do you know how to awaken the sword spirit?"

"Why not try stimulating it with your sword intent, young master?" Uncle Yule suggested after thinking for a moment.

"Thank you, Uncle Yule! By the way, what do you suggest I choose for the other two Dao-Ancestral Artifacts?"

After thinking for a moment, Uncle Yule replied, "I think you should pick one defensive Dao-Ancestral Artifact and one speed-enhancing Dao-Ancestral Artifact, so you can escape danger quickly in the future."

"Then I’ll let Uncle Yule recommend them for me!"

With a wave of his hand, Uncle Yule made three Dao-Ancestral Artifacts fly over and appear before Ian.

One was a rainbow-colored armor, dazzling and beautiful; another was a golden bell; and the last was a snow-white silkworm armor.

Uncle Yule then introduced all three Dao-Ancestral Artifacts to Ian.

In the end, Ian chose the silkworm armor. According to Uncle Yule, it was made from divine silkworm thread and could withstand over a hundred attacks from a third-layer Ancestral Immortal.

If damaged, it could even repair itself.

Uncle Yule then summoned five Dao-Ancestral Artifacts: a pair of golden boots, a small boat, a silver cloak, a bead, and a pair of silver wings.

All five artifacts greatly boost speed, especially the bead called the Void-Step Pearl, which allows travel across ten thousand miles of void.

But Ian Song didn’t choose the Void-Step Pearl, since his Art of Great Teleportation would allow him to traverse the void freely as his strength grew.

So he picked the pair of silver wings.

According to Uncle Yule, these silver wings were refined from a Silver-Wing Celestial Tiger’s wings. The Celestial Tiger is a formidable Immortal Beast, said to bear White Tiger divine blood.

An adult Silver-Wing Celestial Tiger’s strength surpasses a third-layer Ancestral Immortal, and its speed is unmatched—even sixth-layer Ancestral Immortals can’t keep up.

The artifact made from its wings doesn’t reach the Celestial Tiger’s peak speed, but grants at least eighty percent of it—perfect for escaping danger.

After picking his three Dao-Ancestral Artifacts…

Ian Song said he wanted to return to his courtyard to bring Joy and Cici into Greenmount Courtyard.

Uncle Yule naturally had no objection.

When Ian Song returned and announced he’d become Ancestor Martin’s disciple, Joy and Cici were both delighted.

At the same time, news of Ian Song becoming Ancestor Martin’s disciple quickly spread.

Soon after, Old Hugh and Old Doug came to congratulate him—really to freeload a meal.

Other neighbors also came to congratulate Ian Song, though their gazes now held more respect and awe.

After entertaining everyone, Ian Song brought Joy and Cici to Greenmount Courtyard.

When Uncle Yule saw Joy and Cici, his expression turned surprised. He asked, "Young master, are they members of the Vampire Clan?"

"You know about the Vampire Clan, Uncle Yule?"

Ian Song was curious.

Uncle Yule said, "Of course. The Vampire Clan is one of the three great races of the Dark Immortal World. I once traveled there with my master, so I can recognize their aura."

Ian Song’s heart stirred. "What are the other two great races?"

Uncle Yule replied, "The Werewolf Race and the Nether Race."

"Do you know how to reach the Dark Immortal World, Uncle Yule?" Ian Song asked again.

"I do," Uncle Yule nodded. "There are teleportation channels from our Langya Immortal World to the Dark Immortal World, but all are controlled by major powers. The pressure in the passage is so great that anyone below Ancestral Immortal level who enters will die."

After chatting more about the Dark Immortal World, Ian Song returned to his courtyard with Joy and Cici, inwardly deciding that once he reached Ancestral Immortal, he would send them there to evolve more quickly.
