Why Do You Keep Grabbing Me
"What's so strange about that?"
"I once overheard my father and grandfather chatting about it. The Frostbound Casket in the North Pole couldn't be opened for hundreds of years, no matter what. But then... about twenty years ago, it suddenly could be opened again."
"Really?" Grace's heart skipped a beat.
"It's always been an unsolved mystery," Shannon said. "I never imagined it was actually like this!"
"Twenty years ago..." Grace's brows furrowed slightly. "So, maybe someone opened the Frostbound Casket twenty years ago and moved his wife out! Maybe... the child in her belly was born too, and would be twenty years old now!"
"Let's hope for the best..." Shannon said, frowning.
If you think about it the other way, maybe she's already... gone.
After all, she was poisoned by the Sevenbane Camellia.
Maybe, for some unknown reason, someone took her out of the casket, and she died long ago...
"General, Shannon, do you have any way to help me find the Medicine God's wife? Her name is Serena Xi!"
Shannon looked at Evan Xiao.
Evan Xiao said, "I'll do my best to find her!"
"Great, thank you! I'll head out now!" Grace lifted her leg to leave.
But Evan Xiao grabbed her arm. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to see the Emperor! I'll ask him to issue a proclamation to search for her. Also, I'm planning to write a letter to someone and have them help look for her too."
"Who are you writing to?"
"When I was in the Eastern Alliance, I met a Spiritual Alchemist who was on the same level as me," Grace said. "Funny enough, his mother was also poisoned by the Sevenbane Camellia and was looking for the antidote. So I gave him the prescription."
Evan Xiao understood who she meant: Felix Xi.
Back in the Eastern Alliance, he was always hanging out with Grace in the alchemy room.
Sometimes, when Evan Xiao was on Grace's lap, he would sit right next to her...
"From the way he talked, he seemed pretty confident," Grace added. "I want to tell him we've already got the Phoenix Essence. Maybe he happens to have Heaven's Dew! Wouldn't that be perfect? Even if he doesn't, having him help search for the Medicine God's wife gives us one more ally."
Evan Xiao didn't say anything.
"Why do you keep grabbing me?" Grace asked him.
Evan Xiao let go of her and said, "Go ahead!"
Grace turned and hurried off.
"Your Highness, you could return to Longyuan and use the Water Mirror to search for her," Shannon suggested.
But Evan Xiao just sat down, closed his eyes, and said, "No need."
......
After entering the palace, Grace went back and wrote a letter to Felix Xi.
In the letter, she told him she'd already obtained the Phoenix Essence and had a Spiritual Alchemist who could refine the Phoenix Essence Pill.
If he has Heaven's Dew, he can send it over.
If he doesn't have Heaven's Dew, he can help search for Luke Kee's wife: Serena Xi.
As long as they find her, maybe they'll get Heaven's Dew too.
After finishing the letter, Grace had Chirpy deliver it.
Three days later, Chirpy returned with a reply.
The reply was from Felix Xi, and it was just one sentence: My mother and I are coming right away.
Grace puzzled over it for a long time before realizing: Could he already have Heaven's Dew?
Is that why he's rushing over?
Hopefully his Heaven's Dew isn't just bathwater this time...
Sure enough, Felix Xi and his mother arrived soon after.
Their flying beast landed directly at the foot of Spirit Alliance Mountain.
After being notified, Grace hurried down to greet them.
Beside Felix Xi was a woman wearing a veiled hat.
"This is my mother," he introduced.
"Hello, Auntie!"
"Good child!" The woman steadied her. "For certain reasons, it's inconvenient for me to show my face in public. Please forgive my rudeness."
