The Storm Is Coming

Primordial Spirit Guidance was actually derived by Qin Mu and Lynn Ling by combining the most fundamental concept of the Overlord Three-Core Art. The core of that art is the Guiding Method—a technique for channeling vital energy, simple and direct.

But Primordial Spirit Guidance instead channels the Spirit Embryo and soul—guiding each partner’s spirit and soul to merge, then leave the body together, swap and then return to their own bodies, using this process to harmonize and fuse the soul into a true Primordial Spirit.

That’s why this technique must include the word 'Guidance.'

The reason Qin Mu can harmonize his Primordial Spirit with Serena Yunxiang’s is because of his Spirit Embryo. His Spirit Embryo has no attribute at all—unlike Serena Yunxiang or Lynn Ling, whose Spirit Bodies each possess their own inherent qualities.

Primordial Spirit resonance arises when two people’s Primordial Spirits and wills merge, producing a unique frequency. Since everyone’s life experiences differ, each person’s Primordial Spirit is a little different, and so the resonance frequency is always unique.

For two people who practice Primordial Spirit dual cultivation, their resonance frequencies synchronize, forming a frequency unique to that pair. If they try to dual cultivate with someone else, the frequencies won’t match, making true resonance impossible.

But Qin Mu’s Primordial Spirit and Spirit Embryo happen to lack any Spirit Body attribute—they’re blank as paper. So, when he dual cultivates with Lynn Ling, his resonance matches hers; with Serena Yunxiang, it matches hers instead.

Emperor Evan never realized how strange Qin Mu’s 'Overlord Body' was, so he didn’t think much of it—nor did he warn Lynn Ling of the taboo regarding Primordial Spirit resonance. Now, the emperor deeply regrets it.

Qin Mu and Lynn Ling compiled both the male and female versions of Primordial Spirit Guidance, detailing the cultivation methods and the soul-replacement technique. Both were quite pleased with themselves.

Suddenly, both of them seemed to have a mysterious realization—not just in terms of understanding the Dao, but also in their Dao-hearts.

After jointly creating this new technique, their Dao-hearts suddenly experienced a qualitative leap—a breakthrough of substance, not just degree!

To call it sudden isn't quite accurate—it was, in truth, the natural result of their creative act.

Creation itself is the hardest thing of all.

To invent a technique from nothing, to reshape the post–Six Directions cultivation system and push Primordial Spirit formation down into Six Directions—this change far surpasses even the Three Basic Sword Forms created by the Imperial Preceptor!

If Qin Mu and Lynn Ling can fully develop the mysteries of the Sixfold Primordial Spirit, this breakthrough may even merge the Heaven-Man and Seven Stars stages into one realm!

Such a transformation will affect countless future divine arts practitioners.

The Spirit Embryo and Five Luminaries realms are the domains of martial artists; they have not yet stepped into the threshold of divine arts.

Only upon reaching Six Directions does one truly become a divine arts practitioner—formally passing through the gateway to the divine arts path.

After Six Directions come the stages of Seven Stars, Heaven-Man, Life-and-Death, and Divine Bridge—each a step toward godhood, and each step is extremely difficult and time-consuming.

Qin Mu and Lynn Ling's innovation may compress these four steps into three, letting divine arts practitioners reach godhood in far less time.
