Truly Father and Son

He immediately saw Little Antler waiting in his usual spot, ready for dinner.

He hopped onto the table and settled next to Little Antler.

The two serpents, one big and one small, both turned their gaze toward Grace.

Grace picked up a small piece of meat and fed it to Little Antler.

Little Antler chewed and swallowed, then opened its mouth wide again.

Grace picked up a second piece of meat, ready to feed it again.

Just then, she noticed Cutie Pie’s look—he seemed... interested in eating too.

So, Grace decisively fed the second piece of meat to him.

Little Antler shot Cutie Pie a disgruntled look.

Cutie Pie glanced back at him, flashing a mysterious little smile.

In Grace’s heart, he would always be the most important...

...

"Miss Grace, is this Little Antler actually Cutie Pie’s child?" Claire suddenly asked.

Grace: "...It should be—"

Probably not!

Little Antler clearly jumped out of the gourd!

But Hope insisted, "Of course it is! They look exactly alike! Cutie Pie, isn’t he your kid?"

His kid?

Evan Xiao was stunned.

The resemblance to his younger self, and those swirling rainbow clouds... Could it really be his son?

"So is he or not?" Hope pressed again.

Cutie Pie tilted his head at Little Antler, saying nothing.

He didn’t know either.

"Cutie Pie doesn’t seem too sure either," Claire said. "Why don’t we test it with the Bloodline Stone?"

"Great idea! Let’s test it!" Hope chimed in enthusiastically. "Miss Grace, do you have a Bloodline Stone? Can we borrow it?"

The Bloodline Stone can reveal blood relationships, whether human or animal.

Grace looked at the two serpents—they really did look alike. Testing wouldn’t hurt...

So Grace took out a Bloodline Stone, pricked the little snake with a needle, and placed a drop of blood on the stone.

The little snake was busy eating, but when pricked by the needle, turned to Grace with a bewildered look.

Grace quickly patted its head, saying, "It doesn’t hurt, it doesn’t hurt, it’ll be fine in a second!"

"Cutie Pie, your turn—just one drop of blood." Hope placed the Bloodline Stone in front of him.

Cutie Pie hesitated, then managed to get a drop of his own blood onto the stone.

Everyone stared at the Bloodline Stone.

As the changes appeared, Grace’s jaw dropped wider and wider.

It showed... the two Antler Serpents really were father and son!

"He... he really is your son?" Grace stared at Cutie Pie, dumbfounded. "How did you... manage that?"

What did he do to Beanie?

Cutie Pie glanced at the little one, then at Grace, and silently lowered his head.

Rui’er...

It really was him!

When he heard that the seed was found at Ray’s burial site, he started to suspect.

But why did he turn into a Holy Spirit Tree?

Could it be... He glanced at Grace, a realization dawning in his heart.

"Little one, Cutie Pie is actually your real dad! Look, you two look exactly alike! From now on, you’ll stick with him, okay?" Grace said to Little Antler.

Real dad?

His dad is actually an Antler Serpent?

No wonder he turned out this weird, can’t even talk... so lame...

I just want Mommy... Wuwu O__O...

Little Antler nudged Cutie Pie with his tail, then swam over to Grace, teary-eyed.

Mommy, hug...

"Why are you crying again?" Grace quickly picked him up and comforted him. "Of course, Cutie Pie stays with me, so the three of us will always be together!"
