Since he had to make a splash, Ian Song decided to release all the women from the Temple of Divinity.
With a casual wave of his hand, a flock of beautiful women appeared around Ian.
"Wow, is this really the Immortal World? The immortal essence here is so rich!"
"Yeah, I feel like just breathing here boosts my cultivation!"
"Husband, where are we?" Lila Li asked.
"I only know this is the Langya Immortal World, but I have no idea exactly where," Ian explained, then turned to the group: "Everyone, stay close and don't wander off. We don't want to run into trouble!"
"General, is it really dangerous even in the Immortal World?"
Spring Lotus asked naively.
Ian replied seriously, "The Immortal World is just a higher-level world than the mortal realm, so of course there are dangers. In the mortal world, I was pretty much invincible, but here I'm just a strong immortal at best. So don't let your guard down!"
Hearing Ian's words, all the women straightened up, suddenly alert.
Roll call: the women who followed Ian to the Immortal World were Lila Li, Diana Toba, Wendy Lin, Lena Ling, Raina Quinn, Lily, Autumn, Lena Yu, Lillian Liu, Coco Guan, Hannah Han, Shelly Song, Lynne Ward, Chloe Snow, Lena Wei, Rosie Ning, Yanna Zhou, Bella Bai, Vivian Ouyang, Muse, Winnie, Flora Thrall, Susie, Kara Moran, Cici, and Joy.
There were twenty-six in total. Rainy Qin, Little White, and Ian had a pure master-servant relationship; Muse and Winnie always wanted to sleep with him, but Ian hadn't given them a chance yet; though Yan'er Zhou had feelings for Ian, he hadn't made her his.
As for Rosie Ning, the two had always been respectful and distant, so she was more of a follower.
Finally, there was Chloe Snow. Although Chloe had confessed her feelings, after being siblings for so long, Ian still couldn't cross that line and continued to treat her as a sister.
This place was a barren wilderness. Because the laws of the Immortal World were so strong, Ian's divine sense could only scan about a kilometer around him—not even as far as his eyes could see.
Only his Clairvoyant Vision divine ability worked well, able to see up to three kilometers.
"Let's go!"
Ian led the way, with the strongest cultivators—Poetry, Joy, Lynne Ward, and Rosie Ning—holding the rear, Diana Toba and Lila Li guarding the flanks, and the weaker women protected in the middle.
One man leading twenty-six beautiful women—this group was eye-catching to the extreme. Ian even felt like he was leading a harem to conquer the Immortal World.
In no time, the group had been traveling for over an hour. Though their pace wasn't fast, they covered several hundred li, but hadn't seen a single soul.
Maybe the Immortal World is just too vast, or maybe the population is too sparse.
"Big brother, look! There's a mountain up ahead!" Chloe Snow pointed out, happy to finally see something different after walking so long on the plain.
Chloe Snow pointed ahead. After so long on the plains, finally seeing something new was worth celebrating.
"Wait!"
Suddenly, Ian raised his hand, and the whole group stopped.
"Husband, what's wrong?" Lila Li asked.
Lila Li asked.
"Don't rush, let's wait and see."
Time passed slowly. After about fifteen minutes, a herd of giant Black-Armored Bulls—each seven or eight meters tall—charged out of the forested mountain, running straight towards Ian and his group.
Then, a group of over two hundred men and women wielding weapons rushed out of the woods.
Whiz, whiz, whiz!
Dozens of arrows shot out, hitting more than ten Black-Armored Bulls. Their speed slowed, and the people quickly caught up and killed the wounded bulls.
The remaining Black-Armored Bulls split into three groups, fleeing in different directions.
"Captain, should we split up and chase them?"
A woman wielding a giant sword asked a burly man holding a giant bow.
"No splitting up. Chase the middle group; forget the others!"
Toren Tong made a quick decision, since the middle group of Black-Armored Bulls had over eighty heads. If they could kill them all, it would be a huge haul.
Meanwhile...
Seeing the herd of over eighty Black-Armored Bulls charging toward them, Ian told the women to move aside.
These Black-Armored Bulls were no pushovers, most had early Human Immortal strength, a few were mid Human Immortal. As for the hunters, most were mid Human Immortal, with eight late Human Immortal, and the burly archer was the strongest.
If the System hadn't given him a quest, Ian wouldn't have needed to get involved at all.
But since the System forced him to collect ten thousand Prestige points in a month, he had no choice but to play along.
So, after the women moved aside, Ian appeared with a longsword in his hand.
He flickered forward several hundred meters and blocked the herd of Black-Armored Bulls.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
Seeing someone suddenly blocking their way, the Black-Armored Bulls grew furious, eyes red as they charged at Ian, intent on trampling him.
Slash!
Ian's lips curled in disdain. His sword flashed out, sending over eighty sword auras flying. In an instant, more than eighty Black-Armored Bulls were decapitated.
The over one hundred immortals chasing the bulls were all stunned.
Toren Tong's face darkened. They'd spent a lot of effort driving the Black-Armored Bulls out of the forest, only for someone else to snatch the prize.
Black-Armored Bull meat was delicious, their horns could be made into weapons, and their hides into armor. Each bull was worth at least thirty low-grade immortal stones.
Eighty Black-Armored Bulls meant over twenty-five hundred immortal stones. No matter how strong the newcomer was, they couldn't just give up.
Toren Tong led the group forward, glaring at Ian: "Isn't this a bit unfair? We worked so hard to drive out those Black-Armored Bulls!"
Ian wasn't naïve. Hearing this, he understood they were worried he'd claim all the Black-Armored Bulls. He smiled: "Don't misunderstand. I just like helping others. I won't take any of the immortal beasts!"
Toren Tong and the others froze, then cheered. But they couldn't help wondering—was there really someone who didn't care about immortal stones?
Or was he plotting something?
An hour later, Ian followed Toren Tong and the others to a large village of over thirty thousand people—Giantwild Village, one of ten villages under Julu Town.
Because Ian helped kill over eighty Black-Armored Bulls and didn't ask for anything in return—and because he was so strong—he quickly earned their trust.
Giantwild Village had over thirty hunting squads. Toren Tong's team wasn't the strongest, but could barely make the top ten.
Most of Giantwild Village's residents were ascenders and their descendants.
In the Langya Immortal World, there were natives and ascenders.
Ascenders generally had low status, since the Immortalization Pools were monopolized by the native immortal clans. It was rare for ascenders to become true experts.
