Entering White Tiger Territory

1/19/2026

After the elder appeared, many people witnessed it. Everyone was shocked that someone had come out of the long-dormant Teleportation Gate, and the elder immediately soared into the sky and vanished in an instant.

News of the mysterious elder emerging from the Teleportation Gate spread like wildfire throughout Greenstate’s Royal Capital, causing an uproar. Meanwhile, Evan Chu and his three companions were completely unaware—they were savoring Greenstate’s local delicacies in a private room.

“Linfeng, that Teleportation Gate looks abandoned—are you sure you can fix it? Would the people of Greenstate try to stop you?” Claire Ouyang asked at this moment.

“It’s hard to say. But I’ll handle it tonight. You three should go gather information about the White Tiger Clan; I’ll go check out the Teleportation Gate and figure out a plan after dark.

If the Teleportation Gate works, just wait for me here at the inn. Don’t cause trouble—avoid unnecessary problems,” Evan Chu said.

“Don’t worry, Linfeng! My mouth is top-notch—I’ll definitely dig up the answers you want.” Luna Chu laughed.

After a casual meal, the four split up—Evan Chu headed for the Teleportation Gate, while Claire Ouyang and the other two went in different directions to gather news.

Soon, all four heard about the mysterious elder who had emerged from the Teleportation Gate. People speculated he was probably from the White Tiger Clan, but no one knew his purpose—only that he left in a great hurry.

Evan Chu saw a crowd gathered around the Teleportation Gate, all deep in discussion. Just then, a white-haired elder said, “How strange! This Teleportation Gate can actually send people through? In all my years, I’ve never heard of anyone coming out of it.”

“This was specially built by the White Tiger Clan back in the day. If Greenstate ever faced a crisis, we could use the Teleportation Gate to enter White Tiger territory, and powerful experts would come to help us. But Greenstate has been peaceful for thousands of years, so the gate has never been used.

“Could the elder who came out of the Teleportation Gate mean something big is about to happen? I think it’s best to stay home for now,” a middle-aged man said.

As soon as he said this, everyone around started feeling like something major was brewing. The rumors spread quickly, getting more exaggerated with each retelling, until the story reached the Greenstate King himself.

After carefully inspecting the Teleportation Gate, Evan Chu asked Sword Spirit Luna, “Luna, can this gate still be used?”

“Of course it can be used. The gate only looks dilapidated on the outside—it’s actually fine. See that groove on the frame? Just put Starstones in there and it’ll activate. This gate needs two supreme-grade Starstones to work, so try it tonight,” Luna said.

Evan Chu checked the spot Luna mentioned and sure enough found a groove. He left the crowd, ready to tell Claire Ouyang and the others about it.

When Evan Chu returned, Claire Ouyang and the other two were already waiting in the room. Before he could speak, Luna Chu said, “Linfeng, just now an elder came out of the Teleportation Gate—they say he’s from the White Tiger Clan. Do you think he showed up here specifically because of us?”

“Why do you say that? They shouldn’t know anything about us. Luna, aren’t you just guessing?” Evan Chu asked, not understanding how they could be connected—did the elder have some kind of clairvoyance?

Even if he did, he wouldn’t just send an elder out at random. Evan Chu now has the power to kill even fifth- or sixth-layer Saint Martial experts—going up against him would be suicide.

Luna Chu said, “Linfeng, your memory is terrible! On the Moonspirit Kingdom battlefield, you instantly slaughtered tens of thousands of soldiers—the blood-soaked aura spread everywhere. The White Tiger Clan is a magical beast clan, right? Magical beasts are extremely sensitive to blood qi. If such a powerful blood aura appeared, of course they’d come investigate. If they asked around in Moonspirit Kingdom, they’d easily learn it was you.”

Luna Chu’s reasoning made sense. Evan Chu realized this was entirely possible, so he said, “I’ll go to the White Tiger Clan tonight and see if I can find a way back to the Heavenly Dragon Empire. You three stay put—don’t wander around, just wait for me here.”

“You don’t even need to say it—we already know. The people of Greenstate aren’t that strong, and with Claire here, there shouldn’t be any problems,” Luna Chu laughed.

Late at night, Evan Chu quietly slipped out of the room and flashed over to the Teleportation Gate. After scanning the area with his spiritual sense to confirm no one was around, he took out two supreme-grade Starstones from his storage ring and placed them in the groove on the threshold.

A few minutes later, faint energy ripples appeared from the Teleportation Gate, and a white curtain of light formed in front of Evan Chu. He quickly stepped through the light and into the gate—a powerful force pulled him in, and he instantly vanished.

When Evan Chu reappeared, he found himself in a dense forest. Since it was already night, he didn’t want to wander blindly—spiritual sense wasn’t as reliable as actual sight. So he jumped up onto a tall tree and rested with his eyes closed.

The morning air was crisp, birds chirped happily, and when a ray of sunlight broke through the thick leaves and shone on Evan Chu’s face, he opened his eyes and looked around, laughing, “This place is just like Beastfall Forest. How weird.”

After jumping down from the tree, Evan Chu walked slowly through the woods. He saw plenty of magical beasts along the way, but none were very strong. After leaving the forest, he soon spotted two pure white tigers lounging on the grass, basking in the sun.

“Linfeng, this really is Sacred Beast White Tiger territory. There should be a White Tiger Temple here, and if I’m right, Ryan Ouyang is probably inside. Looks like you came to the right place—only here can you hope to find a way back to the Heavenly Dragon Empire,” Luna said.

The two white tigers spotted Evan Chu immediately, stood up, and their massive bodies shone with dazzling white light. In an instant, they transformed into two youths.

One of the youths looked at Evan Chu and asked, “Human, why have you come to the White Tiger Clan? Who are you? Do you have proof of identity from our clan?”

“Proof? I don’t have any proof. I’m here to find someone—my brother came to your clan, and I want to bring him back,” Evan Chu said with a smile. Judging by their power, these two were probably fourth- or fifth-layer Divine Martial experts, but Evan wasn’t worried. His goal was to get them to lead him to the White Tiger Temple…
