This Formation Belongs to the Lin Family

Dark Sparrow stood there, looking at Evan Lin with an obviously impatient expression.

But deep in her eyes, there was clear hesitation.

Dark Sparrow also couldn't stand Evan Lin's cocky attitude, as if he was number one under heaven and everyone else was second.

The worst part was, Dark Sparrow had already suffered a loss at his hands before.

Normally, Dark Sparrow would definitely want Evan Lin to take a good beating.

But this Four Seasons Grand Array is different.

It's Nightstar's four instructors' ultimate killing array—if they really let it loose, this kid might actually end up dead right here.

Sure, the guy was annoying, but it wasn't worth letting him lose his life over it.

But today, it was all about Nightstar's reputation. Plus, the moment Nightspring, Nightsummer, Night Autumn, and Night Winter showed up, Evan Lin's qi chains completely crushed them, which was honestly humiliating for Nightstar.

For the sake of Nightstar's face, Nightspring, Nightsummer, Night Autumn, and Night Winter had no choice but to use this formation.

Otherwise, if word gets out, it could seriously damage Nightstar's reputation.

But whether it was Nightsummer, Nightspring, or Night Autumn and Night Winter—who had all suffered losses to Evan Lin—none of them said a word right now.

They were controlling the Four Seasons Grand Array, but every one of them had their eyes locked on Evan Lin.

Just like Nightsummer thought, no matter how big the grudge, it wasn't worth making Master Lin from Seacrest disappear for good.

Everyone was waiting. Everyone's gaze was fixed on Evan Lin.

As long as Master Lin from Seacrest just gave in a little, all the problems would be solved. In fact, his name would definitely shake the whole region.

After all, forcing Nightstar's four instructors to use the Four Seasons Grand Array—just that alone made Master Lin from Seacrest way stronger than any so-called expert.

"If I say it's a trash formation, then it's a trash formation."

Evan Lin shook his head at the words, turned around, and looked at the Four Seasons Grand Array in front of him, a playful smile on his face. "Of course, you guys can relax."

"I've already said, I'll just give you a light punishment. I won't really break your bones or anything."

Evan Lin's words made Night Autumn, Night Winter, and the others' expressions turn grim.

"Such arrogant talk! You're basically asking for it!"

Night Winter shouted angrily, but he still didn't use the array to trap Evan Lin—deep down, he was clearly hesitant.

"No worries. Ju family patriarch, just think about what I said earlier."

Evan Lin stretched lazily and walked toward the center of the arena. "Either agree to my demand, or become my enemy."

"It's a simple two-choice question."

Evan Lin smiled calmly.

"Are you really not going to reconsider?"

Seeing Evan Lin walk straight toward the Four Seasons Grand Array, Nightspring gritted his teeth, his eyes full of struggle.

"He'll be fine, right? I heard Nightstar barely ever uses this Four Seasons Grand Array, but every time they do, it's never lost."

Leon Lu stood next to Selina Wu and Allen Ju, looking worried.

"Selina, maybe you should try talking Evan Lin out of it?"

Martin Wu turned to Selina Wu beside him. "I think he might actually listen to you."

"This whole thing is way too risky. It's just not worth it."

Martin Wu was terrified Evan Lin would get himself into real trouble. Honestly, at this point, even if Evan didn't challenge the Four Seasons Grand Array, he'd already gained a huge advantage.

Nightstar's people even said, as long as he apologizes, everything from before gets wiped clean.

"It won't make any difference if I say something."

Selina Wu shook her head, worry in her eyes. Her gaze followed Evan Lin wherever he moved, her beautiful eyes full of complicated emotion. "He seems easy to talk to, but once he decides something, nothing can change his mind."

"Even if I tried, it'd be the same."

"Now... now all we can do is trust him. Trust he'll break this formation and defeat Nightstar."

Selina Wu spoke decisively. Seeing Evan Lin getting closer and closer to the Four Seasons Grand Array, she felt more and more uneasy inside.

But Selina Wu still didn't try to stop him—instead, she actually wanted to cheer him on.

She knew this was what Evan Lin wanted to do. Since he'd already made up his mind, Selina felt she couldn't selfishly hold him back.

"I believe he can do it."

Allen Ju took a deep breath, his fists clenched tighter and tighter.

The Ju family patriarch didn’t respond to Evan Lin’s last words. He simply stared at the Four Seasons Grand Array that now covered the entire ancestral hall courtyard.

Inside the array, the spring sector was filled with blooming flowers, looking peaceful and full of birdsong—but it was actually dangerous everywhere. If an ordinary person entered, even a small mistake could mean total disaster.

In the summer sector, blazing flames appeared, roasting everything. The extreme heat formed fire-colored tornadoes of terrifying qi.

The autumn sector looked the gentlest—qi had turned into patches of ripe wheat fields. Golden wheat swayed in the wind, with grain heads lifting as the breeze passed.

Each grain of wheat seemed ordinary, but actually contained layer upon layer of terrifying force.

In the winter sector, snow covered the entire ground. Everything was white, snowflakes drifting down, the air freezing cold—breath turned to frost. It felt like a dead zone, every inch full of killing intent.

The Four Seasons Grand Array cycled endlessly, full of vitality.

It was like a cycle of energy created from pure qi.

"If it were you, could you survive?"

The Ju patriarch suddenly spoke up.

The steward beside him looked serious, staring at the Four Seasons Grand Array like it was a piece of art.

A mysterious and unpredictable formation, with the power to change the seasons.

A formation like this could only be used by extremely high-level Life-and-Death Mages.

"I'm not sure."

The steward shook his head without hesitation. "Nightstar's Four Seasons Grand Array isn't just any formation."

"This is their trump card—that's the only reason they dared to come to the Ju family."

"Besides, if you really think about it, this Four Seasons Grand Array still traces back to Lin."

At this point, the steward's voice grew wistful.

"If Master Lin from Seacrest really ends up staying in this formation today, I suppose it'd be a kind of fitting twist."

The steward spoke calmly.

The Ju patriarch nodded lightly.

Suddenly, he seemed to sense something. He turned his gaze and looked off into the distance.

With that glance, the Ju patriarch saw someone.

Seeing that person, his body jolted violently.
