"I am Ian Song. May I ask how I should address you?"
The next moment, Ian Song composed himself and cupped his fists toward the Silver Fox Princess.
"How dare you! My princess's name is not something you can casually ask about." Sandy, the maid, tried to assert her presence.
"Sandy, could you please be quiet for a moment?" The Silver Fox Princess looked at Sandy helplessly, her tone exasperated.
"Yes, Princess!" Sandy glared at Ian Song in annoyance.
The Silver Fox Princess stood up, returned the salute to Ian Song, and smiled. "Greetings, Young Master Song. I am the court's envoy. You may call me Silver Fox Princess."
This man gave her an inexplicable sense of familiarity and warmth, making her feel an irrational urge to get closer to him. The feeling was absurd, even a bit frightening.
After some polite small talk, the two began discussing the affairs of Immortal Maple City.
However, Ian Song showed little interest in these bureaucratic matters.
The Silver Fox Princess noticed this, so she changed the subject: "I wonder if Young Master Song has any intention of serving the imperial court? I could recommend you, and saving Immortal Maple City is a tremendous merit."
"I'm used to living like a carefree wanderer, and I can't stand being tied down. I hope the Princess won't hold it against me." Ian Song smiled and waved his hand, once again drawing a sidelong glance from Sandy, who muttered, "Doesn't know what's good for him!"
"Sandy, do you want me to sew your mouth shut?" The Silver Fox Princess was a bit annoyed, scaring Sandy pale, but in her heart she blamed Ian Song for it.
A quarter of an hour later, the Silver Fox Princess left the inn. Watching her back, Ian Song frowned and wondered to himself, "Could she be someone's reincarnation?"
At dusk, Stone Hu arrived at the inn. Upon seeing Ian Song, he immediately knelt down and cried, "Young Master Song, please save my young master and young lady!"
"How are they?" Ian Song asked in a deep voice.
Stone Hu replied, "They went to Black Sky Forest to kill a Nascent Soul-stage demon. They managed to succeed, but both were seriously wounded and are on the verge of death. Please, Young Master, save them!"
Hearing this, Ian Song was surprised. He hadn't expected the siblings to actually kill a Nascent Soul demon. Since they passed the trial, he considered them his disciples and said, "Lead the way!"
"Yes!" Stone Hu replied joyfully.
Soon, Ian Song arrived at the City Lord's Mansion and saw the siblings Stone Hao and Stone Ling. Both were lying unconscious in bed, covered in wounds, their auras flickering like candle flames about to go out.
For most people, there would be nothing they could do, but for Ian Song, it was a trivial matter.
