You Are Jealous

Bianca Whitefan shot him a sideways glance. "So, what's your plan? How are you going to get blood from one of the ladies of the Zhu Estate?"

"Forget about everyone else for now. Let's try to get Grace Wan's blood first," Evan Xiao said.

Both of them nodded together.

"Leon Zane, it's up to you," Evan Xiao looked at Leon Zane.

"Why me? You're practically Zhu Estate's ideal son-in-law now, shouldn't it be easier for you?" Leon Zane retorted sarcastically.

"That's an order."

"I refuse!" Leon Zane grabbed Bianca Whitefan and started to leave. "Shan'er, let's go! Big brother will help you disguise yourself!"

Evan Xiao watched Leon Zane's back and said four words: "You're just jealous."

Leon Zane, clearly stung, quickened his pace.

Bianca Whitefan turned back and said, "Cousin, His Highness Evan Xiao says you're jealous!"

"He's lost his mind!" Leon Zane said. "Ignore him..."

...

After they got back, Grace ran over to Minister Zhuo and said, "Dad, today Aunt and I went to General Evan Xiao's Residence."

"Oh? What for?" Minister Zhuo asked.

"Well, I heard there's a kind of person called a Rune Master. They can use runes to remove the root causes of illness from people," Grace said.

Minister Zhuo shook his head. "Impossible! Unless the root cause is due to a rune spell."

Grace nodded. "When we got there, it was such a coincidence—the Imperial Advisor was there too! He said the same thing as you: Rune Masters can't cure illnesses, only drive away evil!"

"Yes, and as far as I know, although he uses runes, he isn't quite at the level of a Rune Master."

"Exactly! That's what he said too," Grace agreed. "But... he gave me a suggestion."

"What suggestion?"

"He said my mother's illness is strange and suggested we find a real Rune Master to take a look," Grace whispered.

Minister Zhuo's eyes narrowed. "Really? That's what he said?"

In Minister Zhuo's mind, Leon Zane was a bit of a mystery, with some impressive skills. So he always took his words seriously.

Grace nodded. "Dad, can you ask a Rune Master to come and see my mother? Maybe she's not even sick—maybe it's something evil!"

A thought struck Minister Zhuo.

For years, he'd searched through countless Spiritual Alchemists, but he'd never considered this angle before.

Maybe this really was a lead...

"Dad?"

"Alright! Even though I don't know any Rune Masters personally, I can ask around," Minister Zhuo promised.

"Thank you, Dad!" Grace said excitedly. "You're the Prime Minister of Blue Moon Kingdom—I know you can do it!"

"I'll do my best."

"Oh, and Dad, I told Aunt that I was delivering a letter on your orders. Please help me cover for that story!" Grace added.

"Alright—wait, why did you take her with you?"

"She insisted on coming with me, and I couldn't say no!"

Grace figured that even if the siblings talked about it, they wouldn't get into such details.

Minister Zhuo didn't suspect anything and agreed.

......

Grace's mother took the Infernal Drake Pill and, with Grace's careful nursing, got better day by day. She was spending more time up and about—even able to meditate and train.

One day, Grace went to see her mother, but Aunt Crystal stopped her outside.

Noticing that all the usual attendants were waiting outside, Grace asked curiously, "Is my mother napping again at this hour?"

Aunt Crystal replied awkwardly, "No."

"Then why aren't you all inside helping her? Why are you just standing out here?" Grace felt something was off.
