Ten minutes later, Kyle “Madman” Lee strode out of Martin Lee’s study and headed straight for the airport.
Over two hours later, Madman Lee arrived at Twin Rivers Airport.
After he reached Twin Rivers Airport, Andrew Zhao hurried to the small courtyard where Edward Zhao was staying, his face anxious. “Patriarch, bad news! My men just found out Madman Lee has gone to Tianhe State. If I’m not mistaken, he’s definitely after Ian Song.”
Edward Zhao’s expression changed slightly. “Madman Lee—the Lee Family’s Killing Star?”
Madman Lee, age twenty-five, has already reached Innate Fourth Layer. He currently serves in a special-operations unit of the Yanhuang Republic with no official designation. Over the past few years, he’s completed hundreds of missions, and it’s said that nearly eight hundred foreign special-forces soldiers have died by his hand.
Among them, nineteen were Innate-realm experts—the strongest had reached peak Innate Fifth Layer.
Because of this, special-operations units from various countries have tried many times to hunt him down and kill him. But he’s not only incredibly strong—he’s freakishly lucky. Every time, he turns danger into safety and even counter-kills his pursuers. That’s why he’s internationally famous, and foreign special-forces units call him the Killing Star.
Right now, Madman Lee holds the rank of full colonel. If it weren’t for the fact that he’s only twenty-five—and the higher-ups are deliberately holding him back—he’d already be a general by merit. Of course, it’s also because he’s hot-tempered, prefers to settle things with his fists, and has offended way too many people.
Pretty much every young man from the Ten Great Families has been beaten up by him at least once.
“Patriarch, should we send someone to stop Madman Lee?” Andrew Zhao asked worriedly.
Edward Zhao pondered aloud, “Jade must be polished to become a gem, iron must be hammered to become steel. Since Madman Lee hasn’t tried to hide his movements, it means the Lee Family doesn’t dare kill Ian Song. If I’m right, that old fox from the Lee Family wants to use Madman Lee to break Ian’s confidence!”
Martial artists rely on fierce, unstoppable momentum—if that’s broken, their path is ruined!”
At this, even Edward Zhao couldn’t help showing a hint of worry in his eyes.
“Damn that old fox. What should we do now?” Andrew Zhao cursed fiercely.
“Let’s wait and see!” Edward Zhao said slowly.
“Patriarch, you really don’t plan to intervene?”
“No.” Edward Zhao shook his head. “Don’t underestimate that kid Ian Song. He’s already killed a Blood God Cult Innate Third Layer expert. That shows he’s not only talented, but shrewd. Talent and cunning together—that’s both brains and guts. So Madman Lee might not be able to crush him.
Some people just explode harder the more pressure you put on them! Heh, maybe that old fox will outsmart himself!”
At this, Edward Zhao couldn’t help but laugh.
Andrew Zhao was startled. He hadn’t expected the patriarch to think so highly of Ian Song. If that was true, then it was a blessing for the Zhao Family.
After Andrew Zhao left, Edward Zhao’s smile vanished, replaced by a heavy seriousness. “Ian Song, this is a test for you. If you hold out, the Zhao Family will fully support you—maybe even entrust you with our future. But if you fail, I’ll have no choice but to let you go. Just don’t let me down!”
As he spoke, a flash of cold fury and grief appeared in his eyes, and he looked toward the Lee Family’s direction. “Martin Lee, sooner or later I’ll settle the score with you for plotting against Harold Zhao!”
…………
Twin Rivers Airport.
Madman Lee’s nearly two-meter-tall frame was impossible to miss. As soon as he walked out of the airport, a young man strode up to greet him and ushered him into a black Rolls-Royce.
The young man personally took the wheel. In the back seat was a stunning young woman. As soon as Madman Lee got in, she pressed her soft, fragrant body against him. “Young Master Lee, my name’s Snowy.”
Madman Lee grinned, showing two rows of gleaming white teeth, and pointed at his crotch.
Snowy rolled her eyes at him, but then obediently undid his belt and ducked her head down, and soon the sound of eating ice cream filled the car.
Madman Lee, unfazed, asked the young driver, “Did you do what I told you?”
The young man hurried to reassure him, “Don’t worry, Young Master Lee. I’ve already dug up everything on that kid. By the way, are you staying in the state capital tonight, or heading straight to Riverstone City?”
A wild, reckless gleam flashed in Madman Lee’s eyes. “That kid’s only Innate Second Layer. I could kill him with one slap, so there’s no need to rush. I’ll stay in the state capital tonight and head to Riverstone City tomorrow!”
The young man grinned, delighted. “That’s perfect, Young Master Lee. I’ve already arranged five girls for you, all under eighteen—and all untouched.”
Madman Lee isn’t just violent—he’s also extremely lecherous. He has a particular kink: he only likes girls under eighteen.
Hearing this, Madman Lee’s eyes lit up. “Su Hao, you really do know me best!”
“It’s an honor to serve you, Young Master Lee!” Su Hao quickly put on a sycophantic smile. Suddenly, as if remembering something, he said, “By the way, Young Master Lee, our Su Family has a collateral branch in Riverstone City. The head is Steven Su, and his daughter is gorgeous—still a senior in high school. The local kids even call her the literary goddess. Once we get to Riverstone City, I’ll have Steven Su offer up his daughter to you.”
“Is that so? Looks like this Riverstone City trip won’t be boring!” Madman Lee laughed menacingly.
In the dorm room.
Ian Song was standing by the bed, a little nervous as he watched Blood Rose sitting cross-legged. Her cultivation had already reached Postnatal Perfection, but she’d been stuck there for lack of an Innate-realm manual.
So Ian had taught her part of the downgraded Origin-Nurturing Scripture.
Unexpectedly, her internal strength was already so refined that, after converting it to true essence, she was still at Postnatal Perfection. So she planned to take a Vital Essence Pill and break through to Innate Master in one go.
Suddenly, Blood Rose’s delicate body trembled, and a powerful aura erupted from within her, sending ripples of air through the room.
Ian Song immediately relaxed, knowing Blood Rose had shattered the Postnatal shackles and officially stepped into the ranks of Innate Masters.
“Congratulations!”
Ian Song said with a smile.
Blood Rose smiled and nodded. “Honestly, I owe my breakthrough to you. To thank you, I’ll do three things for you for free in the future.”
“Deal. It’s settled.” Ian Song laughed.
“Alright, it’s getting late—I’ll head out!” With that, Blood Rose hopped off the bed, flashed across the room, and disappeared out the living room window into the night.
Just then, his phone rang.
It was Charles Zhao calling.
“Fourth Uncle, what’s up, calling so late?”
“Ian, Madman Lee from the Lee Family has come to Tianhe Prefecture. That guy’s a real brute—he’s probably here to cause you trouble, so be careful!”
Charles Zhao’s voice was anxious, filled with concern.
“Thanks, Fourth Uncle. I’ll be careful.”
“Don’t underestimate Madman Lee, Ian. He’s already at Innate Fourth Layer—and he’s killed a master at Innate Fifth Layer peak. If you can avoid it, you’d better leave Riverstone City for a while and lay low until he’s gone.”
“Alright, Fourth Uncle. I’ll think about it.”
After ending the call with Charles Zhao, Ian Song dialed Leon Lee’s number. From him, he got all the details about Madman Lee. Instantly, his blood began to boil. “A killing star, huh... Interesting!”
